Mangastream has the Mario oneshot up.
Not sure what I think of it.
Definitely jarringly different from Naruto, eh?
Watch SymphogearNot really, except in terms of plot or characterization. If anything, this just proves to me that he can bring to life good and eye-catching ideas, but his execution is decent at best. Even considering that it's highly compressed, the type of dialogues and the panel layout is not particularly sophisticated or straightforward, it simply get's the job done and explicitly tells you what the job was.
Don't confuse this for not being a good read, because it was.
It wasn't jarringly different, actually.
More in line with what I was thinking. It was a good read, but it could have been more.
I do like the setting, though.
Considering the original manuscript was 160 something pages, it needed to be shrunk down just to appear in Jump SQ to begin with.
Watch SymphogearI feel like I wouldn't have minded 160 pages of mario.
This seemed a pretty good and I wasn't bored by it. Not bad at all.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."I'm kind of amazed that Kishimoto was able to draw hair that actually looked like hair and not the stiff pointy cardboard that many a Naruto character uses to pass for it.
My Megaman and MegaTen liveblogsI read the manga a while ago. I am surprised how serious and complex this is. It's pretty good, and I might even dare say that this wouldn't look out of place in The Godfather or Martin Scorsese movies.
I do have to rant about the girl using a Desert Eagle. No reasonable assassin carries a DE, damn it.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.
Mangastream translated the prelude.
Heh, "Let's hurry to the square."
