NSFW/Image Macro (CROWNER): Fish Eyes

Yeah, the image for Fish Eyes is an image macro. Should we just crop the "DERP" out of the current image and leave as is, or do we want to find a new picture?

Image is fine, aside from the macro-ness of it. Find a version without "DERP" (cropping would be an ugly solution) and I think we're good.

I'll look into it myself... Although just for the sake of an alternative, bottom half of the "Good Naruto" meme?◊

That would work as well, although I know a lot of times memes like that are frowned upon. It would probably work as long as we just used the relevant panel.

And since it's inevitable that somebody is going to suggest a pony image, I'm just going to note that 1. Derpy Hooves technically isn't an example most of the time because Fish Eyes generally face outward, and 2. This◊ is an example.

Rainbow Dash is also quite good. I'm pretty sure tired!Applejack from "Applebuck Season" has some good moments, too.

WRT the Mega Man image: still trying to find the relevant episode and shot (because all the results on GIS are giving me ones with "DERP" on it). Did find this◊ linked in a thread on NeoGAF; wonder if the "DERP" image was a Photoshop?

EDIT: Yeah, I'm inclined to believe "shop". So I composited a high-res version of the "DERP" image◊ and the unaltered one from above to create this resulting image◊, and have shrunk it both to the size currently on the page (257) and 350.

I prefer the un-macro'd Mega Man pic to any of the suggestions, but what would really work for me would be a pic of Marty Feldman. I'll post a link as soon as I can find a decent one.

EDIT: Since I can't get to GIS right now, it's probably gonna have to be this evening.

Yeah, the pic from my avatar is a good example; I just thought it would be better to use something from an actual work rather than fanart.

Also, should we yank the current image for being a macro. We've got plenty of good substitutes to choose from, and I don't think we'd want to leave the current one up.

For the time being, I've swapped it with the not-Image Macro version of the same size. I wouldn't consider this thread concluded, however.

I feel like that's the image equivalent of a ZCE, and encourages examples like that, just "this trait" with no why at all.

How would we go about doing that, though? I don't know of many cases where the character's eyes being like that would get an explanation that would work in an image.

Something more than "just a face"... what they're reacting to, another character reacting to them, anything.

It also says it can just be an Off-Model thing, which means it doesn't have to be for any particular reason.

I like 14.1 or 14.2.

Crowner's hooked. I didn't include all of the Feldman pics, and I didn't use the Masada pics because I wasn't sure if the up/down opposite eyes count for this or not.

I did. I chose to add another image rather than blank the option as a duplicate.

It feels like something different, honestly...might need to clear up the description a little. I know that look doesn't remind me of a fish at all, unlike the examples we're choosing from.
