When I heard about Gokaiger soldierly after it was released I couldn't wait to see it adapted into a Power Rangers series.

Now I am really really sad. Another series no worth watching. God dammit.

Well, I guess I may as well just watch the fight scenes....

Honestly if you're just gonna watch the fight scenes. might as well watch Gokaiger. Super Megaforce mixes from so many episodes that sometimes the fights barely make sense.

[up] There's a pretty bad example in Episode 4 (A Lion's Alliance). The episode is mostly based on Gokaiger 9 (the Gaoranger tribute) where they go to Animarium to find Gao Lion (or Animaria to find the Red Lion). But it adds in elements from Gokaiger 3 when Red and Green get split up from the rest. During this, Blue, Yellow, and Pink have a fight scene where they morph into three Black rangers (Abare Black/Dino Thunder Black, Ninja Black/Alien Ranger Black, and Go-On Black/RPM Black). In Power Rangers, they show the morph scene, but completely cut out the fight scene, and the next time you see the three of them, they just show up out of nowhere in the Pirate costumes. It's a really confusing mess.

Forgot to mention, they do NOT explain the pirate motif at all. It's not like Goseiger where the angel stuff was kind of vague (the only clue was the emblem on their chest), the pirate stuff is everywhere.

I like to think Gosei was binging on Pirates of the Caribbeans movies before designing the new powers.

Listen to this remix of the MMPR theme with Mega Man X soundfont. Doesn't it sound like Storm Eagle?

I am cautiously optimistic about this new MMPR movie. Although if they're still supposed to be Teenagers With Attitude, I think I'd actually prefer that the Rangers be played by a new cast. Still have the original actors show up, but not as the new Rangers.

Of course, there is one and one question that must be asked.

Will it make it... to theaters?

Because man, I'd get hyped for a Megazord fight on the big screen with big budget special effects.

I think it'll be in theaters.

Also, finally a new episode of Super Megaforce. I think they made a 5th theme song, just having Orion say his name. So they had regular Megaforce theme, the update with Ultra Mode, regular Super Megaforce, two showing Orion, and the last one actually having him say his name. Weird. I gotta watch the starting original Super Megaforce theme. It's possible I missed Orion the first time when watching it, but... eh.

...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.

I had a gander at The Other Wiki. Is Super Megaforce really only gonna be 13 episodes long?

I looked at the PR wiki.

20 episodes.

Two of them involve The return of Vrak and a Brainwashed and Crazy Robo-Knight.

-Edit-

I decided to make an RP here, and if anyone's interested, feel free to sign on.

It makes a sad sense that Megaforce and Super Megaforce would each be something like half of a regular season.

Was I the only one to find The Messenger an oddly badass villain?

He walked across the floor of the sea, parting it to face the Rangers in battle.

Okay, I just had a great idea. Someone tell me if they've done this before:

So the Rangers are fighting some bad guys when all of the sudden the villains retreat. Then this badass-looking guy dressed entirely in black comes in - you just know he's gonna give the Rangers the fight of their lives. They gather together to face him, and then he opens his mouth and says:

"Alright. Which one of you is the Red Ranger?"

It turns out he's colorblind.

Oh God! Natural light!

Their revuiew of megaforce.

" Violence aside, though, this installment is a very pleasing addition to the Power Rangers lineage, thanks to multi-dimensional characters who challenge stereotypes, value teamwork, and think quickly on their feet"

Multidimensional characters who challenge stereotypes? the MEGAFORCE TEAM?

Hey, they are multi-dimensional. Before watching this series, I wasn't aware of big of a spectrum "bland" covered. Now I know every dimension of blandness.

I could barely tell you anything about the current Rangers. Emma is a photographer... and has great legs. Jake... likes soccer, and Gia to a kind of creepy degree. Noah is the nerd... and apparently able to turn into a master swordsman thanks to lazy writing (how anyone can say that episode is good is beyond me). Gia is... uhhh... umm. Troy... oh fuck you.

The only ones I can define are Robo Knight and Orion, because they actually had character to them. Robo Knight wishes to protect the environment, but must learn not to be overzealous about it (directly taken from Goseiger), and Orion is seeking revenge on the alien race that slaughtered his people (even if he turns into a jumping pixie when morphed... shhh).

By the way, Episodes 13 and 14 aired in France. We can add Dengeki Sentai Changeman to the list of "New Powers". This is getting fucking ridiculous.

Emma is also a nature fan. I mean, Megaforce in general had a Green Aesop going on, but out of the main characters not named Robo Knight, Emma was probably most devoted to the idea. Just something that I recalled.

Troy was, initially, what you'd expect from a long-term martial artist. Then he loosened up a lot after dicing Creepox (a direction that I actualy didn't like), and became no-homo obsessed with Robo Knight in the early episodes of Super.

Gia is supposed to be The Ace, but yeah, her characterization really doesn't have much beyond "no homo" with Emma and being the tomboy to Emma's girly-girl.

Regarding Noah..... I recall that in Megaforce, there was a spotlight episode where he had difficulty with the whole "self-confidence" thing. During that same episode, Jake had some bro moments with Noah, helping the latter to believe in himself. But damn if I can remember anything other than that about him.

Jake and Noha totally should've swapped colors in the transition from Megaforce to Super.... >.>

Then again, Megaforce really suffers from not having had a full season to itself, and I've come to the opinion that Super would work a lot better as a comic or some other medium where you don't have budget or scheduling concerns to hinder you on getting Ranger alumni, you can just use the characters themselves, instead of the actors that play them...

So, I just saw the Super Megaforce adaptation of Gokaiger's Carranger episode.

EASILY the best episode since the first episode or two of Super Mega.

I especailly lol'd at the part where the Monster/Levira/Jake Love Triangle stuff is playing out in front of the other Rangers, and they're just standing there with this collective WTF kind of reaction.

My only complaint is that we didn't have a cameo from Justin and where he'd have a banal or snarky reaction to it, something like "Now imagine dealing with this kind of thing for an entire year."
