I opened this thread but for future reference, we don't usually open "link-discuss" threads. A "link-discuss" thread is Exactly What It Says on the Tin: the OP has a link and a brief comment (usually "discuss") and nothing more.
A proper OP should contain enough information to establish a context for the discussion.
To that end, I've edited this thread's OP.

Joking aside, I agree with Nohbody in that there's not a lot of discussion that could happen here that hasn't already taken place in the other thread.

Roger Ebert was a Pulitzer Price-winning film critic whose columns for the Chicago Sun-Times were very popular. He also co-hosted several TV shows about films with Gene Siskel.
