I knew Donnie was the monitor ! I just knew Aynsley was a red herring! They never explained who the person he was calling was! I wasn't fooled! Also holy shit Alison is probably the craziest one in the bunch after Helena. I mean she's guilty of Third Degree Murder! I wonder if Dyad is letting them get sick for whatever reason

Soo I just caught up. Would anyone mind explaining what the hell is going on?

With everything? Season 2 and all?

Everything made sense after Season 1. Nothing makes sense after Season 2. I feel like I know even less about the Prolethians and Dyad

That's probably intentional.

So this thread has been dead for a while. Yikes. Felt like bringing it back.

Also, a whole bunch of new casting announcements for Season 3! Including James Frain and Ksenia Solo! grin

Less than three months till season 3! I marathoned season 2 over the past few days. So good. It's too bad that Tatiana Maslany didn't win at the SAG awards.

Damn, less than 10 days before S3 premiere and this topic is still sleeping in limbo. A shame.

Well, just so there is something meaningful in this post, some words coming from God herself. Apparently, the new clone club does not mean less focus on the old clone club. Sigh of relief.

I know! I'm so excited! The focus will still be on the Leda clones!

Also, let's not let this thread die ever again.

I wonder if the naming of the projects will prove to be meaningful. If both were equal, then there would be no project Leda, but (I guess) a project Helen(a) instead (which of course wouldn't be suited for this show). Or Clytemnestra, but it does not sound that great, and it could have unfortunate implications for its members considering who Clytemnestra was.

I've been going off the assumption that the Project Castor clones are going to be more antagonistic than friendly.

Rudy seems to have become something of an Ensemble Dark Horse for the corners of the fandom that actually like that male clones will be in the show. He's kind of like Helena's Distaff Counterpart!

If Castor clones had the same upbringing than Mark or Helena, I guess we can expect them to antagonize team Leda. I hope we will see some diversity among them though (I'm not too worried).

I have no idea if I get BBC America anymore (pretty sure I don't). Is there a way to watch episodes online?

If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.

Well, the season 3 premiere of Orphan Black is going to air on AMC. I have no idea if future episodes are also coming on there, but you could probably find them online if you know where to look (not that i'm condoning stuff like that, of course).

Just found out IFC is re-running the older episodes. I'm sure I'll eventually see Season 3 there at some point.

Oh man. Thoughts, in no particular order:

I have a feeling that the two Castor clones are rogue from the main operation.

I also have a feeling that Alison's "run against this woman for this position" may end up with that woman dead. Possibly.

Talking about Helsinki, Ferdinand mentioned 'inducing' Cosima. Do the clones have some sort of killswitch, possibly?

[up] I have no idea.

Holy shit. Is that why Cosima's better now??

But wow, yeah, good, fast-paced opener to Season 3.

Well, as was illustrated with the other Monitors, Donny and Paul, in order to be part of Dyad's plans you'd have to be stupid or evil. Delphine initially seemed more on the stupid end (although in a different way than Donny), but it probably makes more sense she's more on the evil side of things.

Phew, that was a fast-paced start. I wonder if we will see more of this "Krystal". She looks like a...normal girl. Like Alison. On the outside.

I also strongly hope all the male clones are not evil. Well, we can hope for the rogue ones at some point.

This ep's impersonations were rather good. Iirc, Sarah already did that one, right? I lost track on how many times we saw Tatiana play Tatiana impersonating Tatiana.

Also, I half-expected to see the Castor clones kissing during the final scene. That would have been extremely highly disturbing.

I felt pity for Rachel too. Right until I learned what she had planned. Seriously. What a complete bitch. Still, brain damage is a harsh punishment.

I had a problem with the idea that Rachel was planning on having all of the other clones killed (and had been involved in a previous purge.

It just didn't feel to me like last season that Rachel was that level of evil- she kind of came off more as someone who was playing The Woman Wearing The Queenly Mask and forgot to stop acting.

Like it seemed to me that a lot of Rachel's antagonism of Sarah and Cosima was Poor Communication Results In A Pencil In The Eye rather than malice (although there was a fair amount of malice too).
