  • Age: Zero, barely a week old
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "Hmm? Where am I?" She's really more of an artifically made cyborg than a gynoid.
  • Kind: OC
  • Powers: Weapons System (Her arms and legs have retractable blades, in addition to short-bursts of lasers from her eyes and fingers), Enhanced Capabilities (Has extremely minor superhuman physical abilities due to her extensive organic nature, though has programmed nanomachines that repair physical damage until they exhaust themselves and has unnatural stamina), Self-Manipulation (Able to manipulate and alter her emotions/mind on a whim), Full Conversion (She converts the entirely of her food and drink into energy)
  • Side: Cosmos by proxy
  • World of Origin: Wherever Here is
  • Personality: Due to being recently made she doesn't have much of a personality. Currently she's rather blunt and quiet, in addition to being loyal to Ryan. (Subject to change over the course of the game)
  • Bio: She doesn't have much history, and currently only knows Ryan.

Technically her healing factor isn't a natural ability, but it was best to mention there. The nanomachines have to be manually replaced, and the ones in her currently adapt to whatever damage part they're replacing. They don't renew themselves, so her healing gets slower the more she's hurt. If all the nanomachines in, say, her hand were exhausted the closest nanomachines would try to repair the damage instead.

@ desdendelle: Would a basic concept open to creative design be fine? You could always try to make a character based off of your username.

Well, I came in here with a character in mind, but then I thought about the repercussions and realized that the character is possibly a Walking Spoiler from a game that only came out a few weeks ago. I think I might hold off on this for now.

Ok, time for my Cosmos character (who is a self-insert mostly for tradition's sake at this point).


  • Name: Flanker (psuedonym), FLANKER-H007 (SPARTAN designation)

  • Age: 18

  • Gender: Male

  • Appearance: Although he is usually clad in his patchwork MJOLNIR armour, outside of it he wears a lightweight trench coat and his MJOLNIR bodysuit after becoming a SPARTAN-III. He also wears a pair of boots. Although it can be hard to see against the bodysuit, he is rather muscled. Post-SPARTAN-III augmentation, his eyes are an icy blue instead of their original hazel colour. The MJOLNIR makes him appear a fair bit taller than his original 5'9'' stature.
Prior to becoming a SPARTAN-III, he wears a suit of ODST armour with blue detailing in combat. He has brown hair and fair skin.

  • Kind: OC

•Powers: Flanker has undergone Project: CHRYSANTHEMUM augmentations, which have improved his physical capabilities immensely, making him superhuman. This is helped further by his MJOLNIR Mark V powered assault armour, which allows him to store an AI in it thanks to his Neural Interface. However, despite his improved powers, he is still ultimately a human being. Being a SPARTAN-III, his abilities are not as powerful as, say, a SPARTAN-II, being designed to be what is effectively an expendable super soldier. His ability to respond to magic based attacks or defences is also limited, due to obviously lacking access to magic. It also will take time for him to respond to the changes brought on by the Project: CRYSANTHEMUM modifications, renddering him little more than a regular human being.

Initially he is armed with a silenced submachine gun and a Needler, though the latter does not cause as serious injuries as it would do normally. It also takes a while for his SPARTAN-III abilities to manifest, rendering him unable to wear his MJOLNIR for that period of time. Until then, he will be forced to wear ODST armour. The basic differences between this and MJOLNIR are that it's unshielded, less durable, provides no power assistance, and is overall less capable.

  • World of Origin: Our world

  • Personality: Flanker tends toward thinking before acting. Unfortunately, this can occasionally mean that he misses the opportunity to act entirely. However, he is a fairly friendly person to those he knows, particularly if he has known them for a decent period of time. Fear can, on occasion, paralyse him.

  • Bio: Flanker lived a reasonably normal life - the only truly significant events of note being that he was studying electrical engineering at the local college and training for a private pilot license. He had always been withdrawn to a greater or lesser extent, though he did manage to form a circle of close friends around himself.

Also, I know that the powers section is a complete mess, but tl;dr version is ODST (+ initial weapons) > MJOLNIR (+ better weapons). This will occur early(ish?) in the roleplay, if that's acceptable. I'll probably need to PM you to work out a few minor-ish details.

Again, I'm willing to edit as necessary to make things acceptable.

  • Name: Amaterasu
  • Age: N/A
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: True form, to nonmagical beings/people without a strong belief in the gods.
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers: Ammy has a variety of powers:
    • Physical prowess: Ammy is both strong and agile, capable of gracefully dodging attacks, running at high speeds, leaping high into the air, digging through solid rock, and carrying grown humans without difficulty.
    • Godhood: When Ammy fights, her godhood is increased, creating a sort of magical armor capable of absorbing attacks, leaving her unharmed. Acts of cowardice or damage to the armor will reduce her godhood, but further combat will restore it.
    • Celestial Brush: Ammy wields the celestial brush, allowing her to use various techniques to alter the world around her. In the beginning, she will be capable of prolonging daytime, restoring damaged objects to their original condition, causing a slashing attack to damage enemies and break barriers, restore dead plants to life or cause them to bloom, form lily pads on water, and summon bombs to break through walls or damage enemies. More techniques might be used later in the game, with permission from the GM.
    • Reflector: Ammy wields Divine Retribution, a burning disk that floats above her back. In combat, she can attack enemies by causing it to lash forward and strike them.
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: Okami
  • Personality: Ammy is generally a quiet, gentle creature, capable of hanging around humans without too much trouble. She is very kind, willing to help anyone in need, generally without a second thought. She gets bored quite easily, however, and is more than likely to fall asleep if anyone starts talking to her for too long. She is fascinated by human female bodies.
  • Bio: Ammy was originally the ruler of the Celestial Plane, home of the Brush Gods and the Celestials. One day, the Celestial Plane was attacked by the the demon Orochi, who slaughtered most of the Celestials. With no other choice, Ammy pulled herself and Orochi down to the mortal realm, where she eventually defeated him with the aid of a warrior named Nagi. Later, during the events of Okami, she was recruited by Cosmos, leading to her presence on Earth.


  • Name: Issun
  • Age: Unknown
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Up close, but to a normal sized being he appears to be a small green bug.
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers:
    • Super strength for his size, allowing him to jump and lift things as heavy as beer mugs.
    • The ability to communicate with animals
    • Issun is an extremely skilled artist, and has mastered two Celestial Brush techniques, allowing him to restore damaged objects to their original condition and to cause dead plants to bloom. In the future, he could master more techniques, depending on how things go.
    • Issun is a skilled swordsman, although his attacks are pretty much useless against full sized opponents.
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: Okami
  • Personality: Issun is a very talkative person, with a tendency to speak his mind even when it means openly insulting someone to their face. He has a strong sense of adventure, although it is balanced by a desire to stay alive. He also has a very strong pervy side.
  • Bio: Issun was an artist who ran away from home, and spent a lot of time in Kamiki village, where he met Amaterasu. He traveled with her during the events of Okami, and went with her when she was recruited by Cosmos.

  • Personality: He's a Mad Scientist with a particular focus on Evilutionary Biology, he also harbours something of a soft spot for his creations.
  • Bio: The result of cloning a experiment, Jail was designed from the outset to be something of a Mad Scientist, however he took to it just a bit too well. As for winding up on Earth... Well, when somewhere's produced two of the most powerful magic users and thus biggest threats to what you're planning, wouldn't you want to check it out?

  • Age: 12
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: "My fellow team member, your feeble undeveloped mind cannot even begin to process how we Sontarans work! May I take your coat?"
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers: Sontarans have very advanced technology created to be used in the war. In terms of weapons, they have the rheon carbine, a thin, metallic weapon, designed for Sontarans, which can be used to shoot powerful beams that can either stun or kill, and can also penetrate light armor. The rheon carbine can also be used to hypnotize beings with weak minds. They also have access to laser rifles and fragmentation grenades. They also possess distinctive blue battle armor, which protects the Sontaran's entire body from most projectiles, any type of poisonous gas or atmosphere and makes them very resistant. However, there is a weak spot in the back of the Sontaran's helmet: a small round area. If said area is hit or stabbed, the Sontaran can either end up stunned or dead. Their armors also contain translating devices and a Cordolaine field, which, when activated, excites the copper atoms in bullets, causing them to expand until they get jammed in the gun's barrel.
  • Side: Chaos
  • World of Origin: Doctor Who
  • Personality: Like every other Sontaran, Strax loves war, being a fierce warrior who fancies the idea of dying with honor in an amazing battle, and who looks forward to facing others in combat. But unlike other Sontarans, Strax has a softer side, and he even likes children. But while loyal to his team and well meaning, Strax isn't very intelligent: he prefers using brawn over brain, finds insults to himself and his race amusing and will often have difficulty counting over two.
  • Bio: Strax, like every other Sontaran, is a clone. And that's about it. He was born with a love for war, and that is why he is joining Chaos, because he believes that by joining this team, he'll be able to find good teammates and good enemies who will give him a honorable death. Also, he wants more weapons to help in his fight against the dreadful moonites, the beings who live on the Moon and are responsible for every single damn problem in the Multiverse.


  • Name: Envy
  • Age: Unknown.
  • Gender: Your guess is as good as mine.*
  • Appearance: Tch.
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers:
    • Regeneration: Like every other Homunculi, Envy has amazing regenerative abilities, being able to come back from any kind of wound, even those considered fatal to humans. While this may lead to people thinking he's immortal, he can actually be killed, either by destroying the Philosopher's Stone inside his body or by killing severely killing him over... and over... and over... until he runs out of stones to regenerate from. In order to refuel himself, he has to eat more Philosopher's Stones.
    • Shapeshifter: Envy can transform into any human or animal, as long as it doesn't exceed the size and weight of his true form (but then again, turning into something big gives your enemy more areas to attack). He can also transform parts of his body, often using this ability to turn his limbs into weapons.
    • Superhuman Abilities: Due to his true form's massive weight, while in his human form, Envy has enormous strength, durability and speed.
    • Unleashed Form: In his true form, Envy can utilize his strength to its fullest potential, becoming an even more dangerous foe. It is also able to manipulate the human remains that cover its body and make them appear and disappear, and to elongate its tongue to use it like a harpoon or a binding rope, a continuation of its transformation ability. Even if it's extremely powerful, Envy only uses it as a last resort, as while it can make it easier for him to defeat his foes, it also makes it easier for them to defeat him and make him retreat to his real true form.
  • Side: Chaos
  • World of Origin: Full Metal Alchemist, the manga.
  • Personality: Envy takes delight in seeing human mysery, and he would certainly kill without hesistation if it meant completing his objective. He loves to play on a target's emotions just to have a psychological advantage, and seems physically unable to display remorse. He's loyal to his cause and even his teammates, depending on who they are and if they don't annoy him. Envy is secretly jealous of humans' inner strength and the relationships they have with one another.
  • Bio: The fourth homunculus created by Father with the purpose of causing mass slaughter by inducing distrust and bloodshed, like the Ishval War, where, disguised as a soldier from Amestris, he killed an Ishvalan child in public, causing a massive revolt which led to said war. Bored, he joins Chaos with the promise of more fun and an easier way to make his Father's plan suceed.

Time to join another RP populated by people who are masters of their craft and somehow manage to keep up! WOO!

  • Name: Johnathan Crosby
  • Age: 26
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Neutralize the infection.
  • Kind: OC from a Canon universe
  • Equipment:
    • HAZMAT suit - A suit that is NBC proof - nuclear, biological, chemical. Providing protection against radiation, diseases, and reactive chemical substances, if you work at a nuclear testing site, a viral lab, or a chemical plant, you want one.
    • Galvaknuckles - Officially called the Combatant Supression Knuckles, it's basically a taser fist. Due to the circumstances, the CDC has modified the Galvaknuckles to deliver a lethal electric shock to its target.
    • 1x SLDG HAMR. It used to be an ordinary FN HAMR machine-gun, until it was fed to the Pack-A-Punch machine. What it spat out was a beast - firing directed energy and carrying 125 rounds a magazine, the SLDG HAMR is just as powerful as its namesake.
    • 1x Porter's X2 Ray Gun - A Wonder Weapon built by the Nazi Group 935, the Ray Gun runs on cartridges of Element 115 and (thanks to its Punching) fires red balls of energy, and can shoot 40 a cartridge. Though the orbs travel more slowly than a bullet, they cause a small explosion on impact that is extremely damaging to targets caught in it.
    • Semtex grenades. They're basically explosive charges covered with Semtex material. They stick wherever they land, and have three-second fuses once thrown. John can carry four at once.
    • Quantum Entanglement Devices. These grenades take longer to arm than Semtex grenades, but have random effects - see here for what a QED can do. John can carry three at once.
  • Powers: Unlike others, John gets all of his paranormal abilities from Perk-A-Colas - bottles of engineered soda that give special abilities, active 24/7. Unfortunately, severe battlefield trauma will wipe their effects away (meaning: he goes down, he loses all of this and has to get it back).
    • Juggernog - John is twice as durable as the average human being thanks to this red brew.
    • Speed Cola - This green soda gives speedy, speedy hands, which facilitate unbelievably quick reloads.
    • Ph D Flopper - Though it allows John to cause a small explosion if he dives from a fall that would kill him, he mostly keeps this purple beverage around to render himself immune to his Semtex grenades, his Ray Gun, and any sudden QED explosions.
    • Stamin-Up - A yellow energy drink, Stamin-Up substantially increases John's endurance and allows him to run at the same speed no matter what he happens to be carrying (unfortunately, Stamin-Up doesn't fix balance issues).
  • Side: Cosmos.
  • World of Origin: Nazi Zombies, circa 2025.
  • Personality: The endless hordes of zombies and the apocalyptic environment ensure that on-duty John is a light sleeper, always with a weapon at hand and twitching at movements he doesn't expect. Other than that, he is your typical zombie apocalypse survivor slash Sparty McFly pseudo-soldiery character.
  • Bio: John was your average dude, who didn't have an extraordinary upbringing - besides the fact zombies were real. Though there were very few attacks, mostly failed Element 115 experiments that were put down by the US military, John got a job at the CDC working with the zombie virus. Unfortunately, this was not his day - in 2025, three days after getting the job, Richthofen's Grand Scheme happens, and the Earth is decimated. John has spent the past four months battling the zombies, trying to understand the Nazi technology and magic that has spontaneously been dumped on Earth, and generally not dying. However, the apocalypse toughened him up - within a month, he had become the CDC's poster boy soldier, always taking extremely dangerous missions to defend evacuating settlements with only a few other soldiers as backup. Facing off against thousands of zombies each time, he came out alive - and his repeated selfless acts of heroism made him one of those whom received Cosmos' request for aid. Torn between loyalties, he eventually decided to save an Earth that could be saved, and left for our world with his weapons and gear.


Just in case he's a bit too OP for the start, I can wind him back a bit and have him start off with just Juggernog, un-Pack-A-Punched weapons, the Semtex grenades, and the Galvaknuckles, and have him acquire the extra perks/weapon upgrades as he tromps through. I might just do that, for a sense of progression. And if the QED is still overpowered I can just replace it with the Matryoshka Dolls*

or EMP Grenades.

Here's hoping I get in!

So, um, as long as I don't have to use a self-insert...

  • Name: Vita
  • Age: Physically 8, actually around 19 at this point.
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Badass Adorable
  • Kind: Canon
  • Powers: Vita is capable of flight and various magic spells utilizing the Ancient Belkan magic system. Most of these spells are used in conjunction with Graf Eisen, Vita's armed device. In addition, Vita has extremely powerful regenerative capabilities and endurance. Being impaled serves to do nothing more then anger her, for example. Vita must load her armed device with cartridges in order to power up Eisen
  • Side: Cosmos, though technically only by alliegence as she operates under TSAB orders.
  • World of Origin: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha
  • Personality: Vita's personality can be described as "fiery". She's quick to anger, and very volatile when angry. However, she can also be friendly, if she actually likes the person she's interacting with. Eternally a child, she dislikes being called a kid and will get upset if she's called one. In spite of her desire not to be treated as a child, she is quite childish.
  • Bio: Start here and stop at ViVid is you want her canon history. Vita was assigned to this case by the TSAB.

Alright, 100th post. Time for me to judge.

  • Flanker: Hm... I guess he's accepted.
  • Amaterasu: Dunno about the Godhood thing... I mean, there's nothing really wrong with it, but I'm just iffy on the thing. Though there's nothing suggesting abuse, so as long as the Godhood thing doesn't get too Godhoody where it makes more sense for her to be in Work In Progress, she's accepted. Same goes for Issun.
  • Jail: Hm... Okay, accepted.
  • Strax: Hm... Sure, accepted.
  • Envy: A bit iffy on the regeneration thing, but the Red Stones thing might tell me otherwise. So accepted, I suppose.
  • Crosby: I'd feel a bit safer if you went with the nerfing you suggested. Accepted.
  • Vita: Hurm... Yeah, I'm not sure what to make of this. Her powers are good and don't feel like they'd break anything, but then there's the TSAB thing. I'm not exactly sure about it. I would see TSAB noticing something going on with the Multiverse (although not in the way Cosmos would see Chaos, they'd probably just see a big thick black cloud of dark energy) and have someone on the case, but with the other characters, they talked with Cosmos and were informed of the situation, signed up, and transported that way. A little jarring. Everything else is good, or at least looks good, but I'm not exactly sure how this would work.
