Well Harsher in Hindsight does have a music section, and if you don't count music/songs as having "storylines", then there shouldn't be a music section.
Many assumed that the RWBY songs were foreshadowing, and they do provide a mysterious amount of backstory and depth.
I don't know which songs were referenced, but I think they count. The trope also mentions "in the story or in real life". Some of the song titles do take on a dark tone when you consider real-life events. We might not want to see them there, but they do technically fit.
"Song about Faunus rights and death and terrorism" doesn't fit. "Song about someone passing away when they still had more to offer", however...
I can only think of RLR Part II off the top of my head.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Not every character who dies where the voice actor also dies is an example. That's just not enough as a connection, and that's basically the connection here. Just "death" or "dark times" are not enough to make that connection to qualify for the trope. If it were about dying like Monty did, then it would count, since then you'd have a connection.
Edit: Everyone who dies would've had more to offer if they were alive. That's just how death works.

Check out my fanfiction!-shrug- Fair enough I suppose. But I think Harsher in Hindsight is going to give the wrong impression and its easy to make the connection that the songs are "harsher" in "hindsight" because of who the creator was and the emotions the songs conjure.
So someone should probably watch that page for awhile.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).It's always easy to make connections to shoehorn "examples" into tropes when you're grasping for straws, or have something you really want to put down into a trope, any trope.

If indeed Team CRME is pronounced Team Cream, they should make some blues rock music as their character theme.
I prefer to have the villains divided into two teams
Cinder, Adam, Mercury and Emerald: Team MACE
Roman, Neo, Perry, and Banesaw: Team... I'm working on the acronym.
Okay, this might be lame but... Team PNBR? (peanut butter)
Do we have enough characters in the cast for a JLLY counterpart?
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.
Since his initial comes first, would that mean Perry is the leader of Team PNBR?
If anyone else has the same handle, send a message to yourself. I'll see if I can change my name if needed. He doesn't even want to be, but Roman made him do it for the acronym.
Should've checked the list.
Does Roman realize he's given complete control to some guy who wears glasses on the outside of his mask?
If anyone else has the same handle, send a message to yourself. I'll see if I can change my name if needed.I'd imagine he'd think it amusing somehow
Or at least snark constantly at his actions
Nah, they'll just ask Weiss if they can use her Wu-Tang Style. Dolla dolla bill, y'all.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! For a group of people who thought SSSN spells "sun", they can find better things than PNBR.
To dRoy: Claw-flamethrower is too Warhammer40000. Huron Blackheart already had one.
We already have a guy swinging around a chainsaw-sword, don't we?
I was backtracking this thread because it's longer than the Roman train... Monty's real name actually proves a quarter of his joke about 1/4 heritage from China, Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia: Monyreak is a Cambodian name, and its female version is Monineath.
To pheer: are you trying to live up to your signature? In my own story, the weirdest thing I've ever designed is a power fist with a giant buzzsaw blade on its back, and the thing can fold into a sword.

"Creator wrote something about death and then died himself" is not the trope. "Creator wrote about an expy of himself dying in a car crash and then dying in a car crash himself" is the trope. So just having songs that are dark and stuff isn't enough. Deleting them.
Edit: Unless that's what you're doing, seeing as you've got the page checked out.
Edit 2: Well, it's gone now. Again.
