Right, we have the A Team with Red White Black and Yellow, and the B Team with Pink Green Vomit and Other Red.

That's what I thought, but I think that might go the WITCH route and have the initials form the name. Though come to think of it JAUN is a Fan Nickname as well and Jaune doesn't seem to be kind of guy to use Egocentric Team Naming, on the other hand, we haven't seen if and how the teams are named yet.

We already saw Red in Episode 3, right after Jaune said "nice, quirky girl". Just based on appearance, she looks more leader-like among the four here, so I'd rather she's the one the team is named after.

But wouldn't that contradict the unwritten law of "first come first importance?" Especially sice jaune has potential to grow into a better person if he starts off as...this. See Tidus from FFX or Luke from tales of the Abyss.

Does he look at all like a leader to you?

Yes. Kinda.

Why do I get a feeling we'll be introduced to these guys, who'll have great personalities and quickly become fan favorites...
And they're all brutally killed near the end?

Hero of Another Story types do have unnaturally short lifespans.

Neither was Hubert. Or Hope

It is a basically unwritten law that if a whiny character is intoduced as a main character, they will likely mature overtime. I highly doubt Jaune will act this way the entire series. And if he does, then it is a case of wasted material.

I wouldn't call his antics a waste. He's hilarious.

It seemed to be obvious to me from very begenning that Jaune will be leader. That picture also imply that.

Red - is nice but she looks more supportive than leader-like. Big Guy if you ask me. Green is The Lancer and Jaune is The Hero and soon leader of team as well. Come on he has it writen by big neon sign above him.

That might be supported by the fact that he was the first to appear in the show (Even before half the main team!). I have a feeling that they (and he in particular) will be a Deuteragonist cast.

Really? Weiss seemed pretty standard.

Everyone thought Weiss would be a Shrinking Violet but she's closer to The Alpha Bitch.

That wasn't that unexpected, Ruby was worse. Regardless of that unlike trailers opening was done when characters was already planed down, so it shouldn't be as misleading.

And Red will not be Tsundere, but Cool Big Sis

Standard? She's the Alpha Bitch when everyone thought she would've been a Rei Ayanami Expy.

I wasn't really surprised by Ruby, 'cause I saw all those pictures of her having these really happy expressions in Twitter.

And in hindsight, Ruby is less of a Genki Girl than I thought nowadays.

Not everyone, there was plenty of people who guessed her right and while I didn't predict what kind of person she will be myself, I did knew she wasn't standart submissive introvert type as well.

You shouldn't project your own oppinions on other people. That include Shirow as well.

Kerry and Miles, the writers, said that there's gonna be more teams at Beacon than just Ruby or Jaune. How many, exactly?

I say those three guys that Yang finds hot will form one such team.

There will be a team whose purpose is to antagonize team RWBY and possibly team Jaune, and will either fall into the dark side or bitterly join forces with them near the finale.

A rival team? That's almost guaranteed to happen.

maybe they will be modeled on Jack Squad?

I will laugh my ass off if the Jack Squad expy is all male.

Particularly if the three shirtless guys are all in one team with one girl.
