Not bad, necessarily, but it's got some issues and feels incomplete.

Basically, have you ever played and RTS? Any RTS?
If you have, you'll find 8 Bit armies incredibly plain and lacking in depth and feature. It's most vanilla of RTS ever.
That said, if you never played and RTS, and want to learn, it's a good game to learn basics. Because of the lack of feature. But if you've got a good history playing RTS, 8-bit armies will have very little to offer you.
Even though the game's not full price, for its price tag you can get far better RTS (Supreme Commander, actual Command and Conquer, Age of Empires 2, Age of Empires 3, Age of Mythology, Both Starcrafts), Even Petroglyphs' own Grey Goo.

I'm not buying a total war game on first release again. Learned my lesson with Empire, who required "Napoleon" to be playable (And Rome 2 did the same thing, requiring Attila before it was playable.)
Odds are Warhammer will be unplayable and we'll have to wait for "Age of Sigmar" or something to be able to play it. I have 0 confidence in creative assembly at this point.

Empire and Rome 2 also looked good. The preview footage didn't show us stuff like boats moving on land :-P

He also recently posted a video talking about how Doom didn't get any review copies sent out. Despite how polished the game looks that often doesn't go well.

Seriously, 25 minutes long. Look TB, the people who preorder the game without reviews know what they are risking, it's their money to gamble.
I mean, he makes some good points, but the entire delivery reeks of butthurt.

Yeah, that's kinda dumb. tbf, the video had no indication in the title or description after the day. Makes me wonder about that end, not to mention that games journalism sites (IGN for instance) historically and to this day made a myriad of boneheaded arguments.

I'm going to take a wild stab here and say that he either forgot that different time zones are a thing (as in, the video was uploaded on April 1st somewhere, but it wasn't that date yet in Youtube land), or he somehow misread "Mar 31" (March 31st) as "May 31".

Oh man, I really love this guy. I should probably mention that I really love voices like his; my friends have noticed that my subscribed YouTuber list is very English. TotalBiscuit is only one of many.
TB specifically is my headcanon voice for Khalid, a major character in Tales of Windsong. It just works so well :'D

So to try and manage fan interaction in a healthy manner TB has created an offical subreddit, note that it is very much a hug box, the idea is to avoid drama and criticism of him personally while giving him a place to read criticism of his work. [1]

Why do I have a feeling this will backfire badly when the subreddit gets crowded enough? I hope this works out well, but TB is kinda compulsive and will dig for anything, also moderators can view removed posts and he's one. I'm hoping for the best, but I'm afraid we're gonna end up getting yet another "Total Biscuit vs Reddit" at some point.
