Looks like we've got a new 1T model on the way. Too bad they couldn't keep this under wraps for E3.
Platinum Trophy #7: Batman: Arkham Asylum
It joins:
- Saints Row: The Third
- The Walking Dead
- Lego Marvel Super Heroes
- inFamous: Second Son
- Assassin's Creed II
- The Wolf Among Us
Well, that was inevitable, really.
I still won't play them :P
I might. Considering that I never played the second and third ones. Plus, it's meant for people who only owned an Xbox last gen anyway.
Watch SymphogearMeant to give this a bump earlier this week, but the PS 4 and Vita is finally getting Super Meat Boy.
Platinum #9: Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
Bring on Arkham Knight! :D
Now that Microsoft has dropped the BC bomb, ball is now in Sony's court. They really need to do the same.
PS Now was their way of doing that and they started out with about 5 times the amount of games MS are starting with.
The PS 4 physically can't be backwards compatible. The architecture is too different from the PS 3. They barely have anything in common.
The people at Naughty Dog have said as much. The eighth gen remasters of their games take a lot more effort than you would think because their games are designed to make the absolute most of what the PS 3 can do, and the PS 4 doesn't work like that.
It costing money per month to play games that are sitting on the shelf puts a huge hamper on that.
So with the Shenmue announcement, Sony really should capitalize on the hype and get Shenmue 1 and 2 on PSN. Hell, a remaster of those two games would be killer.
To wit, this console will have (as far as games I'm interested in)...
Persona 5, Street Fighter V, Horizon, Dreams, Tekken 7, Uncharted 4, Last Guardian, and Shenmue III.
I know they're not all exclusives, but I'm not a PC gamer and I don't own an Xbox One.
I want the PS 4 now.
But since I can't afford it yet, I'll reach for a Vita first. Gotta have my Danganronpa after all.

What is a fandom? A miserable little pile of flame wars! 3DS FC: 0387-9377-7408 PSN ID: Raven King SageHmmm... maybe SCEA should partner with NISA to get a Danganronpa bundle together, to push western Vita sales.
Man, I've been holding off on getting a PS 4, but that showing at E3 is making me want to pick one up before the end of the year. Any info or speculation on a potential price drop in the near future? I mean, it's been $399 since launch, and I don't want to make the mistake of getting one just before it goes down in price.
They didn't announce it at E3, so...no, probably not.
It's selling better than really well at its current price. They have no reason to drop it.
I suppose the ones that come bundled with a game are a good deal for that $399 price point. I've got my eye on that The Last Of Us Remastered bundle in particular.
I mean, maybe closer to November they may announce a sudden price drop like Microsoft did last year, but that's about it as far as this year I think.
I could look into a refurbished model perhaps, although I'm not sure if that would be a riskier proposition or not. Also, if I was going to get a refurbished one with a game, it would probably work out to about the same as a new system bundled with a game, maybe even slightly more.

Sorry to double post, but after looking around a bit online, I'm thinking it probably would be better to just buy new rather than refurbished. I don't know if anyone here has any experience with refurbished P S4s, but it seems like there's just a greater risk of something going wrong and no guarantee it'll be covered if it does.

Potential price cut for the 500 GB model incoming, based on the Terabyte model's seemingly having the same current price.

If I buy the terabyte one how do I move all my goodies and things onto it from the 500gb one?
Oh really when?Given the ease of swapping out hard drives, it would probably be easier and cheaper to replace the stock HD with a 1 TB one than buy a whole new console.
Anyway, I did end up getting a new The Last of Us bundle a couple of weeks ago, and I even managed to save 10% with a coupon. How's the full version of Driveclub? Worth the $25 upgrade from the PS Plus version?
Info on the future.
