That's not to say that she hasn't accomplished things on her own merits, but she's benefitted quite a bit from her lineage, as well.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Like, the ability to hatch dragons... even though she didn't go in knowing the full combination to that particular lock.
Not having that advantage in a highly gritty world might've been far too unrealistic for the story. She still has an uphill climb to do even with that advantage.
Also, what are we talking about again? I started off by asking why all male characters are taller than all female characters in fictionland.

I mean Game of Thrones is a valid topic for this thread, but it has nothing to do with tols and smols.
Sorry!

Your importing drama from another part of the forum, Marq actually posts in OTC by the way and as someone who actually likes him I find your attempt to come to another part of the forum to bring up a discussion about him rather disturbing.
Discussions about other troopers instead of ideas are banned, importing drama is banned, you're doing both.
"And the Bunny nails it!" ~ Gabrael "If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we." ~ CyranAgree with the folks who think this is drama importation. Don't do this, ever.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI vow to make art least I've female character that towers over others regardless of gender
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI once had an idea to play with the trope by making the Damsel in Distress into the villain of the piece. Like, the chaste and virtuous princess faked her own abduction.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Didn't a James Bond movie do something like that once?
Sonic and the Black Knight has the damsel, Merlina, eventually be revealed as the real villain of the game. She masterminded the events to obtain the cursed scabbard of Excalibur, so that she could keep Camelot from its eventual fall as told in the legend, at any cost, forever. Sonic opposes her on the grounds of Who Wants to Live Forever?

Indeed, it is the plot to The World Is Not Enough
Hell, Rurouni Kenshin had that.
Except it turned out the chick was a Lovable Rogue type instead.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThere was also Eversion where the Damsel in Distress was revealed to be one of the monsters all along. In one of the endings she kills you and in the other you turn into a monster along with her....likely because you became a monster while fighting monsters.

Shovel Knight too, there the villain(who is also female) possesses the body of the damsel, and after you free her, you fight side by side with the damsel to destroy the villain's spirit.
That is kind of what Maya Brooks pulls in Mass Effect.
We talked before about the distinction between sexual agency and sexual objectification and the idea that objectification is when a character is sexualized in a way that doesn't make sense for the character to consent to. This is often depicted through a clash between character personality and character costuming such as a chaste, innocent pure-hearted priestess who walks around with her tits out, for example. Quiet gets brought up because of the fact that the developers wrote an excuse for her to wear a bikini top, "she breathes through her skin," while conveniently ignoring the other character with the same biological trait who wore a heavy outfit with no problems.
I was playing Stella Glow and one character in particular struck me. Hard. Like a rock. The character is a shinobi named Nonoha whose entire character revolves around being sneaky. She has no social skills and is uncomfortable being directly addressed by people because she's dedicated her life to her stealthy ways. She dresses in a bikini with a cardboard box covering her head◊.
That's about the worst example of boobonarrative dissonance I've seen in a long time.

Read my stories!Yeah. Even Quiet gave you the option of looking at her face.

Oh really when?I kind of like it.....not the boobs to the face, but the box in her head, it make her clumsy in a chaming way....which make ver boobs more annoying
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"As of yet, no, but I haven't finished. There might be costume unlocks at some point.
She actually makes pretty good use of the box. Like, on its own, having a box on her head as a shinobi is a hilariously counterintuitive method of being sneaky and unrecognizable that actually works well with her character. It also comes up in a pretty cool combat animation; one of her attacks is a melee combo that ends in her vanishing into the box. She disappears in a puff and the box falls empty to the ground, setting her into her Stealth mode for her next attack.
On its own, the box could work. A ninja outfit and the box would be great. It's the bikini that ruins it and makes the box dehumanizing instead of complementary.

Kinda off topic but yeah there is little to add on that: the excuse is incredibly poor.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesPhoenix Wright Ace Attorney had a character with a similar concept: Myriam Scuttlebutt, a student who writes a tabloid-like newspaper and wears a cardboard box as some form of 'disguise.' I haven't played Stella Glow, but just based on the designs, I think Myriam is done better than the bikini-wearing ninja girl.
