Salty people still using derogatory words like "disaster", I see.
Game is fun, people. Reviews aren't lying. And I scoff at the idea that no creativity was put into this game. Everything from the unique battle system to the beautiful and stylish UI to the clever Gamepad usage to all the little details they put in just screams quality. I just finished the prologue tonight and I am greatly looking forward to getting lost in this game once my 3 days off start.
Just got to the Reincarnation cutscene.
Pretty impressive special effects for something in the middle of the street.
BTW, can we change the title of this thread to the game's actual name now?

Heart of StoneYeah we should change it.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.OK, got to the end of chapter 1. Thoughts so far.
Really like the battle system.
Tharja is much less irritating than she was in Awakening, which is nice
Touma is my favourite character.
If it is truly a good game, then it's even more of a shame that it was so destroyed by censorship; I cannot in good faith play any game whose localizers have so little respect for artistic integrity as Nintendo of America has shown. Also the idol industry is inherently abusive and exploitative, and any game that celebrates it to such a degree is pretty damn creepy.
When you're censoring wedding dresses and putting black smoke over cleavage in 2016, then you're doing something wrong. It's downright disrespectful. Why should I buy a game that disrespects me so much?

Fight for something, even if its meaningless. You're upset that an "abusive and exploitative" game was censored? Your points don't seem to match each other.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I don't really see the glamorising of the idol industry given that the agency all the characters work for is a front for a monster hunting organization.

Hey, that's your prerogative. Just don't drag me down with you. I really don't sweat things like that unless localization choices fundamentally destroy the gameplay. The artistic merit of video games is a whole other thing, but if that's something that's important to you, more power to you. For me, if a game is fun and a solid experience, I'm getting it. Simple as that.
Also yeah, not seeing too much glamorization of idol culture. Also only 2 characters are idols, the rest are from various other segments of the entertainment industry including Tokusatsu, and one of the idols has ulterior motives. The idols seem more like a facet of the game's musical motif. But again, if the exploitative nature of idol culture in general is something that turns you off, more power to you. There are those who are iffy on the upcoming Legend of Zelda because you can hunt animals, it's a primary way of finding health items, and that's not something that they're cool with.
That's actually a good thing to hear. So it could be argued that while it doesn't tear into the idol industry as thoroughly as Dancing All Night, it's not going in the opposite direction and saying FUCK YEAH! IDOLS!
Anyway, while I was really leaning towards getting this, it still seems to have a lot of DLC, so I'll save my Nintendo ID cash for that and buy a hard copy instead. I just need to save up a bit more.
I'd thought I'd have enough by this time, but shit kept getting in the way.
One Strip! One Strip! From what I saw on the cover, the DLC is all relatively cheap by themselves. The special edition has all of them included(though you still need to actually download them)
Well, not quite- They evidently aren't ever bringing over the Hot Springs Episode DLC to avoid offending the parents of all those children who didn't buy this game.
I dunno if that's overall a good or bad thing in this instance, but it sets a bad precedent.

I sure said that! That's pretty funny.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Is that an actual thing in the game?
One Strip! One Strip!Chapter 2. Difficulty is ramping up. Tsubasa is falling off in damage, though her support skills are still nice. Gangrel was a hair away from beating me. Two characters were down, and Tsubasa wasn't in good shape. Thankfully dodges actually work here, so that helped a lot.
With Eleanora, why are biracial characters blonde 90% of the time? It doesn't make them stand out when everyone is running around with blue or red hair.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. With Eleanora, why are biracial characters blonde 90% of the time? It doesn't make them stand out when everyone is running around with blue or red hair.
Blonde yeah, Blue eyes are more typically reserved for full westerner. It's common for half westerners to have green eyes to signify their Japanese side for some reason.
The sociology behind it isn't too hard to grasp- Blonde hair and blue eyes are both extreme rarities in Japan and more or less unheard of among ethnic Japanese, but are colors people naturally have elsewhere in the real world, so it's easy shorthand, especially when the dominant style otherwise lacks obvious ethnic traits in any other capacity.
I sure said that!Yeah, it's just boring to always be able to pinpoint when someone is at least partially foreigner through their hair color.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. It's common for more than just blondes though, hair color is short hand for their character in most anime like works.
Green is different and rather common for aliens, Blue is shy or smart/nerdy, long black hair is traditional Japanese, pale blue with red eyes is an albino, fiery red heads are very often very literal, etc.
Hey, does anyone know what do in Ellie's first sidestory after you meet her in the classroom? I've looked practically everywhere and I have NO CLUE what to do.
Heart of StoneGo inside of the Mart.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Watching a playthrough I like the amount of content this game has.
Mileena Madness
There was Persona. then Persona 2: Innocent Sin, then Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, then Persona 3. That's four.
I sure said that!
