Hello, everyone. It has been a while... How are you? Good.

Well, I've been kicking around the idea of another Persona RP. The one that I previously did I thought was fascinating, but it died because I accidentally made some bad decisions.

Anyways, this is Persona RP idea I've been kicking around:

Possible Theme Song:

In the year of 2013, Imanan is another normal densely populated Japanese city. However, rumors have started that the city is becoming distorted at random times, somehow initiated by a single mysterious text message. A group of individuals, whose abilities have been able to cross the dimensions, are forced to combine their strengths in order to bring peace to the city once more. But what is peace? How did this world come about? And why are there suspicious people suddenly intrigued by the events of this place?

Personas are summoned with phones, to go with the text message theme that it has going on; say with apps, calls, and texts.

That's just a random synopsis that I just thought up. The real idea that I've been kicking around is the bonds of the Arcanas. I'm proposing that the character who holds the Wild Card ability to have relationships that use both Upright and Reverse Arcanas, which would involve more characters and such.

An example would be that ... let's say Nanako is the Upright Justice Social Link, so the card is in the upright position; and Ken is the Reverse Justice Social Link, the card is upside down and represents what Reverse Justice would represent. This is just an example, not that I actually believe that Ken is Reverse Justice or whatever. Understand what I'm saying?

So, those are my thoughts. If someone wants to expand on this they can. After all, this thread here is just for interest checks.

You can skip the next parts.

I borrowed another persona's application page. So here you go.

I might be game for it. I was definitely tossing around ideas of my own for something Persona-themed, so I'll be keeping an eye on this at the least. Just PM me if you need to get to me for anything, although it's very much worth noting that I haven't been active on this forum for quite a while.

I also apologize if this is a necro, because I'm not too sure as I write this.

Hey, it was only posted yesterday. Doesn't even count as emergency resuscitation, let alone necromancy.[lol]

Hmmm, but yeah, kind of interested myself. The only thing that makes me a little wary is how I can never seem to finish any Persona games. Well, that and I already have a few things running at the moment, but... We'll see.

... Weird how I'm kind of interested in something based around something I've only ever heard of, never played. ^^;

But, um... I've been interested in Persona for a long time, and an RP about it could be pretty cool...

Point. I'm honestly running on alot of the base knowledge and not the specifics, but that won't stop me, really. (Halfway through P 4 G, beat P 4 A and know alot about P4 as well as most of P3, for reference. It's not just an ' it sounds cool' situation for me.)

But while i'm thinking about it... if we have ideas, should we just PM them or say them here?

Also, should things work out and I join, I call claim to the Moon!

...And also the Arcana of the same name. >.> <.<

I'm still thinking...either the Hermit or the Devil...

I may not have played any Persona games at all, but I´ve watched several Let's Plays of P3 and P4.

[up]Well, if Savato's fine with settling on The Hermit, I'm pretty sure The Devil would be a perfect fit for that kind of character.[lol] But we'll see how things go.

Sure. I've yet to create a character and it could always turn out to be something completely different. Feel free to take the Devil Arcana.

I think i'm gonna call the Hanged Man. Reverse Hanged Man, should that fit my current idea better, should that idea work out. I'm not too sure what the game plan is at the moment, so to speak.

Well, the biggest ideas in my head are:

  • Multiple Wild Card Users at start. This mainly works towards my second idea:
    • Use of the transmutation mechanic. As the RP progresses, the Fools transmute one by one into the characters true Arcana. Reversing an Arcana could also be an option for characters.

Anyone else like that idea/ have something against it/ want more of an explanation/ have tweaks to the idea to bring forth? I'm all ears.

My idea for a character up to now:

Hermit Arcana, depressed inventor, why-am-I-doing-this-it-will-get-surpassed-eventually-anyways-problem. Persona: Daedalus True Persona: Athena

I'm stil a bit unsure, whether the arcana fits.

Also, an example sign-up sheet could be useful.

[up][up] I support un-reversing the characters' arcanae, but starting with wild cards only to have them change into a fixed arcana sounds a bit like:
Hey, you worked really hard and finally overcame your troubles! I'm so proud of you! Now I'm going to take almost all of your Personae away so you can be nuked with your fixed weakness!"

I'd suggest for everyone's characters to start as the reversed arcana and transform into the upright one over the course of the RP. When they have transformed, they get their true persona.

You have a point there, Savato.

As for me, multiple prosthetic and semi-general missing limbs guy, most likely a senior in high school or new college student with a personal focus on the Debate kinda field of study, unless he needsto be older; I have a good idea as to what his personal issues are, but it's taken too long to simply type this, so that'll wait until I make a sheet.

Um... as for my character...

She's.... Yandere. Really really Yandere. She's lost a sibling in the past, which has resulted in a lot of clingyness, and has a large amount of persona insecurities and issues which end up making her... really, really Yandere. And she has a boxcutter.

Her Arcana is The Devil, and I even have an idea for her Persona.

-Moral problems

Hmmm... Don't really need to make much changes to my initial concept, other than for some reason Anno's character is yandere for her, she may or may not be something of a hikkikomori and her weapon of choice is a folding chair.evil grin
