Suggestion: Rule Fifty

I was wondering if I could perhaps change the image of the Rule 50 trope page. The image is a cross-over between MLP and the Far Cry series. My reason is that I thought it would get the point across a bit more strongly. Of course if this is not the will of others, then it won't happen. The image in question can be found here

Suggested image is okay, but not particularly better than current IMO.

What's Rule 50? Your original link went to the Home Page; when I changed it to a wikiword, it goes to an unmade page.

Rule 50:

Every franchise will eventually have a crossover with every other franchise in some form.

I tend to agree, the suggestion, to me, is less clear, because the ponies look less like the MLP ponies. Someone looking at it would have to be familiar with what Far Cry is to be sure that the ponies aren't actually characters from that ... whatever it is.

Current image has no indication it's about crossovers, or even the trope.

And it's URL is too long to work on the forums, apparently.

Second is at least better in that it spells out Farcry. On the current I got no clue wtf is going on.

The suggestion is better, but I think we can do better still; there are tons of crossover images that may work.

That one is a bit more pony-like than current, so sure, swap.

Copyright/permission?

Don't just swap right away. Let's find a good one, not one that's "not quite as bad".

Asking for permission, and awaiting reply. Also, could someone else do the actual image swapping? I'm not experienced at that.

Actually, I don't think the current is a bad image; it's pretty clear it's a fan-made crossover between Friendship is Magic and something. The article spells out that it's Silent Hill, but not knowing that it's that doesn't make it any less apparent.

Hmm, I really thought that image was a good one (the suggestion I mean) I just thought the new one would give a sharper contrast to the current one.

The first gave me a 404. I like the second and fourth the best.

Numbers one, four and six for me. Personally, I like # 6 best, but that's because Tom Baker was my first Doctor, and I still like him the best.

Y'know, actually, Doctor Whooves is an improvement, if only because of how ingrained Doctor Who is in the public mindshare (far more than Silent Hill, anyway). 4's good, although I'm not a huge fan of the logo.

4 > 1 > everything else. I don't think 6 is clear enough for people less familiar with it.

Well I got permission from the artist to use the original suggestion, buuuuut it looks like we're going in another direction. What are we doing?
