since I scream excitedly about stuff there and I guess that might interest someone maybe.
I'm going to go with Fennekin, too! Don't really care about it being "the popular one". I was disappointed with both of the other ones at first (though I quickly grew to accept them upon a second look), and while I don't really like Fire as a type, I don't discriminate based on it, so I'll be happy to have a nice Fire starter to use. Means I get to use some other water and grass types without too much redundancy!

Fennekin is what I'm going with too, even if it's not Fire/Psychic like it looks like to me. It's just so cute.

Yeah. There was a squirrel. And a dragon gnawing at the roots, and various other things.
The squirrel was named Ratatosk. You may remember it from a Tales game.
Actually, Ratatosk might make a decent "cute legendary" for this gen.

Call me boring, but I'm liking the design of that little fire fox.
Though, I really hope it evolves in a way that differentiates it from Ninetales.
Not that that should be much of a problem. There are plenty of magic foxes in Japanese myth aside from the nine-tailed ones. Perhaps make it a tube fox or something.
