I only know "Orinoco Flow" and "May It Be", so I don't know really much about her. Why did they lumped her music with that New Age stuff?
I want "Ebudae" played at my funeral.
I do love so much of Enya's music. It's often beautiful, and softly magical. And I am very fond of that echoingly-resonant quality that distinguishes Enya's songs. ^_^
As to favourites, hum... looking through my collection... putting down all of my favourites would make too long a list to trouble the thread with, I fear! XD; There's just so much wonderful music there. ^_^
My Games & WritingEnya's Marble Halls is pure heartwarming traquility. Compared to it Silent Night, Holy Night sounds pathetically weak.
Anywhere Is sounds incredibly determined and strong. It's like an ode to Adventure Archaeologists.
Also Book of Days just shouts "Onwards to a new adventure!"
And finally there's Aldebaran filled with strange mix of sentiment and sorrow. It's like a farewell song to your world before performing a hyperspace leap with little to no hope of ever returning.
Humankind is like a train. No matter how powerful the locomotive is, it can only travel as fast as its slowest car allows it to.Video:May It Be by Enya.
This one really makes me happy and cry at the same time!

I find it quite tragic that Enya is so much fan-associated with LotR that the rest of her work gets very little recognition these days.

Don't know why this thread wasn't here before...
....Because Enya's music is just pure audiological joy and peace.
