We didn't lose! Hopefully our rivals can't say the same thing after this week.
EDIT: So much for that. Bama better not win another championship though.

And now Oregon blew an entire 31-point halftime lead to lose in overtime.
This is delicious!
I now go by Graf von Tirol."Couging it" should now be called "Oregoning."
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Bama won and Clemson didn't lose by Clemsoning.
Despite the great game, somehow I feel cheated.
All in all, bad season, in my opinion. We fell on our faces, lost to all our rivals, and were like 30 seconds away from the worst loss in football history. Meanwhile, Bama wins another championship. See y'all next year, hope it's better.
Well, that just happened. There is a sexual assault scandal going on in Baylor where a fair number of players are implicated. Last year, current Huskies coach Chris Petersen said that he in fact warned Art Briles about one such player who had a prior incident during the Boise State days. Briles just got fired yesterday. I'd expect that the NCAA would weigh in alongside the feds anytime soon.

I now go by Graf von Tirol. It begins!
Kind of (most games only really begin next Thursday), but the first game of the year is happening between California and Hawaii in Sydney.

Memphis may or may not also be on this list. Eight of these are AAC.

If you want my opinion, this Big XII expansion thing is still getting ridiculous. First we have a few programs taking up interest, and then we have at least nineteen. Then supposedly it's narrowed to 6-8, and now this?! This has been going on all summer, and it's turned from something intriguing into a joke which leads me to want the conference to fold already.
Honestly, I think BYU, Cincy, Houston and maybe Colorado State are the ones with any real shot here.
I just don't see Air Force (military school, with regimens that foster a competitive disadvantage with the big teams; also, didn't it reject a Big XII invitation the first time?) or UConn (Quite a bit aways from even Morgantown, which is still a glaring outlier as it is) at all.

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)We may be in for a similar situation as almost a decade ago...
Appalachian State currently leads ninth-ranked Tennessee 13-3 at halftime... in Knoxville no less! Either the Mountaineers really are that good or Tennessee was WAY overhyped. Both?
EDIT: Welp, so much for that upset. Fun while it lasted... safe to say that Appalachian State comfortably beats the spread...

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)It's definitely more the latter than the former
I don't know what warranted all this hype for the Vols. Yeah they had a decent season last year and had a good recruiting class but top 10? Ridiculous.
I guess losing to an FCS team is now a WSU tradition. Last year it was Portland State. This year it was Eastern Washington. I laughed at them last year. This year it just feels cruel.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Just as they return just about everybody, including their entire passing attack which brought them nine wins and a bowl, they really had to coug it at week one!
On the other hand, I'm happy with how Washington's going right now. Maybe this time we'll beat Oregon.
Also good to see that Kansas and UCF won't be futile this year (though in the latter's case, no more free beer)

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)Wow... it's been a pretty bad week for the Big 12. Texas and Oklahoma did win their games easily as they should, but there are some potential depth problems with TCU and Oklahoma State losing (in the latter's case, it was an admittedly dodgy call, but the Central Michigan play, that shouldn't have happened and got the refs suspended, was awesome), and the rest either lost or were slow to put lesser opponents away.

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)Well, they might not have beaten Michigan last week, but they did manage to upset Oregon in Autzen Stadium. Program looks like it's definitely in the right direction.
Also, the beating Oregon part pleases me. And my god are their uniforms tacky this week.
EDIT: And in other news Les Miles got fired from LSU effective immediately. Apparently, his stubbornness in terms of offensive schemes is a glaring weakness in recent years, and that loss against Auburn was the last straw.

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)The Huskies just might be for real this year. Stanford should have stayed in California.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. The Dawgs are back! Woof woof!
"Can't make an omelette without breaking some children." -BurAnd Oregon lost again! I have a good feeling we'll finally be rid of this twelve-year curse.
1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)Michigan just beat Rutgers 78-0. And the latter went for 39 yards (no, it's not a misprint), twenty-eight of which in their final two drives.
Also, it's safe to say that the Oregon rivalry win streak is over! THANK GOD!

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 410/1089 (37.65%)This - THIS - is the Husky victory over the Ducks I've waited and endured for! I'm so damn happy right now I can hardly put it into words.
Sidenote: I love how whenever Oregon loses their fans go "I still love my Ducks," almost as if they know the majority of their fans really are just bandwagoners and that they need to separate themselves from them.

"Can't make an omelette without breaking some children." -BurYeah, putting up 70 points on the road against a conference opponent on the road is just ridiculous. Oregon shall now be known as the ucks.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.100 years ago, the most absurd game in football history was played.
Another coach gone: Purdue's Darrell Hazell. Biggest hiring mistake since both of Kansas's hires before their current head coach.

And all the 5-7 teams have won their bowls.
Congrats to San Jose State, Nebraska and Minnesota.
