Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

So there was no review yesterday. Let's try for today:
- Digimon: By ~Phoenixion, I don't see why these can't be listed on Franchise.Digimon.
- Goody Two Shoes: Stub trope without examples or YKTTW by ~Erin Bartel.
- Muffin Lovin Productions: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- This Index Is On Purpose: Any more opinions?
Goody Two Shoes: Cut. Not only is it a stub, but it basically reads as "Mary Sue but you like them", which is not the way the phrase is generally used. In common usage, it's not generally a compliment and it isn't about someone who's perfect. It's someone who is ostentatiously virtuous and well-behaved, to the point of being annoying.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Manga.Digimon could stay as an disambiguation page.
Today's worklist:
- O Futebol Classico: Stub work page with not even a description; by ~disneyphilip.
- Here Be Dragons: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Penis Tropes: An index made without YKTTW by ~Vampire Buddha and already cutlisted per an Ask The Tropers discussion.
- Pksparkxx Dathottness: I am not sure why this page was created then blanked; are you still working on it, ~armadillo150?
- Sparky Silverfish: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Theme Park World: A page with some ZCE, indexing and crosswicking problems by ~Jinxmenow.
- JustForFun.X Men 1: A fairly unorthodox usage of the namespace, by ~Firebird Maximus.
Also, ~Rebel Fleet Troper has been going around and creating various Useful Notes pages on national armies that a) don't mention any in work usages and b) are fairly stubby.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman~Rebel Fleet Trooper won't have gotten a message because of the 5 person limitation, I think.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Huh - my mailbox shows 6 outgoing messages.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI have crosswicked all the tropes. I am not yet sure how this game should be indexed. I have also fixed the ZCE's.

"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."Eddie fixed the cap on outgoing notifications.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'll keep working on expanding those Useful Notes pages before I start any more. I didn't have time to flesh them out more on the spot and because we're dealing with real life I'd rather be sure I'm fact-checking accurately than go fast and possibly have an inaccurate page.
I should also be able to get works listed on all of them, but if I may ask, is lack of works referenced considered a major issue for a Useful Notes page? Many of the existing Forces with Firepower pages, including some fairly long and/or well established ones, list either no works or only one or two...
I created the page, started writing, then had a total head blank and never got round to doing anything with it. Sorry about that.
Then those pages need work.
Since the point of TV Tropes is how stuff is used in fiction, the Useful Notes pages are for reference on how this RL thing is used as an element in telling a story. A couple times in the past, some have tried to use them as a 'document all the history' thing, or worse, for insisting on their own slant on often volatile subjects. That's why there needs to be some works, to show where the subject is used in media. 'Rule of Three' works should be sufficient
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettWorklist for today:
- Aesthetic Gamer: This page by ~keyblade333 is in the wrong namespace and exampleless to boot; only thing I am not sure is which namespace to put it under.
- Life Is A Game: Another trope without YKTTW or crosswicking and with bad example quality, by ~sunandshadow.
- Analysis.Ni GH Tcap: That was meant to be in Tropers.Ni GH Tcap, yes, ~Ni GH Tcap?
- Noteworthy MGM Cartoon Staff: This is one of these trivialoid pages that defy conventional namespace classification; by ~Hell Kill Us All.
- Sacrificial Vile: Stubby trope without YKTTW and only three examples by ~One Eyed Dragon.
- This Index Is On Purpose: No agreement yet.
Regarding Aesthetic Gamer, I'm aware that its properly Aesthetic Gamer, but the issue at hand is that it links to a non-existent trope page. I was trying to avoid that, my bad!
Muramasa got.The problem, ~keyblade333, is that the page should be on LetsPlay.Aesthetic Gamer, not on Main.Aesthetic Gamer, and it needs to be indexed on pages like Let's Play and examples like the games they've made videos for.
Main vs LetsPlay is a Name Space issue. Indexing is for organizing pages, and examples are the entire point of the page. (Then there's Cross Wicking)
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I think the even bigger problem than the wrong namespace is that there are no fucking tropes on the page
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."I agree on the moving to a Lets Play. That was my fault for not realizing it and as for a lack of tropes, I'm going to work on that first chance I get.
Muramasa got.Main.Back To Black: It's a trope page for an album. I assume it'd be in the Music/ namespace, but I honestly don't know why it wouldn't just go on the Music.Amy Winehouse page.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.FYI, I've cutlisted Aesthetic Gamer since we don't keep misnamespaced stub work pages.
The worklist for the 10th of June will happen a bit earlier than usual:
- Bleach The World: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Born To Fight: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Bowlingotter Show: Why did you blank that page just after making it, ~Mr L Spencer?
- Frank Album: This seems to be the wrong title and the wrong namespace, ~josephwilson.
- Let It Die: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Metroplitan Man: Aside from being a stub, that seems like a misspelled title, ~Traiden.
- Recap.Mike J: Needs indexing.
- Sparky Silverfish: I think you need some Text-Formatting Rules (and How to Write an Example) help, ~Shedlessguy.
Hey about Back To Black I am sorry its a bit rubbish, but its my first article so I was hoping more experienced tropers could just clean it up after I had done most of it. For instance I don't know how to index or upload a picture. Sorry about that I promise I wont create another article until I am 100 percent ready that was very unprofessional of me. Anyway Back To Black definitely does warrant its own page it should not just be put on the Amy Winehouse page like Larkmarn suggested. Back to Black is every bit as significant an album as most of the ones that have their own page. Its a lot more significant than Christopher Lee's. I mean don't get me wrong I love Christopher Lee too I have all of his Dracula films (my fave is Taste the Blood of Dracula), but come on here Back to Black had a far bigger impact. The Back To Black page should be tidied up rather than deleted. As for Frank sorry I messed up in calling it Frank Album that's only because there was another thing called frank. If I start it again what should I call it to separate it from the other thing called Frank any ideas? Maybe Frank (album)? Any way if the Christopher Lee album that most people haven't heard of deserves a page then so do both Frank and Back to Black.

You can use YKTTW or the Sandbox namespace to work on a page and attract Wiki Magic without getting it reported as badly made or a stub.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettOkay thanks for that Candi, but I still think it would be better for me to just try and fix up Back To Black rather than delete it or merge it into Amy Winehouse. In future though I will definitely follow your advice I kinda rushed in there too fast and sorry if I messed up the wiki as a result.
So since josephwilson has made the page less stubby, I no longer support a hard cut, but it still needs to be moved to the proper namespace. Do albums just go under Music/?
That said, joseph, you do need a bit of work on your examples. Most of them lack context (the examples should explain WHY the trope applies to the work. Honestly, some of them really... don't seem to fit, but it's impossible to say because you don't explain the context. Take a gander at the links Candi provided, they're great resources.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Thanks guys for the advice I will work on cleaning the page up and I will need to learn how to put it in the right namespace and tidy up several of the examples.
Septimus, thanks for posting my beginning of Born To Fight - as I said in my recent comment; it's a fair movie that's pretty troperiffic, if not too much, but it does have Stone Cold Steve Austin in it, and in certain circles he's fairly popular (I'm a big fan myself), and just on a whim I searched Netflix for his name and saw this movie; it seems a strange hybrid of The Karate Kid meets Rocky in Canada... Would appreciate your and others' help, but if it's going nowhere, feel free to cut it. It's pretty similar to both of the above-named movies.
I do agree with the cutting of that page. As for messaging, I already called them here (hence the "~" in my post) but it may be useful to call them again.
I'll have to post today's review later in the afternoon - lots of college work.
