Gonna agree that suggestion is better than current, which looks more like the guy's getting smacked in the face with an odd rune.
Moon◊Suggestion is good.
First thought I had was Shanoa from Order Of Ecclesia, but I didn't find a good picture that clearly illustrated the trope. (Good pictures, on the other hand, were plenty, mostly fanart.)
Check out my fanfiction!Suggestion > current.
I still like the OP's suggestion, mostly because the fourth one is the only one I don't have to squint to see the tattoo in.
I have no problems with OP's pick, but, for the sake of argument, here is an Aqualad.
Not too bad, but it kinda looks like the glow is wrapped around his arms ratheer than coming from them.
I like the Maya pics...is there a before shot showing the tattoo not glowing?
I prefer the OP's image to most of the Maya ones, which are in turn better than #7. For the sake of variety and because it's a really awesome show although this image may be in use elsewhere, Aang in his non-avatar state◊.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Like the OP's and Aang's pics.

If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?Would movie!Aang be better than cartoon!Aang for this particular instance?
I'd go for Avatar!Cartoon!Aang if I had to pick one from this series, since the tattoos glow, which makes them not look like they are normal tattoo. Film!Aang's tattoos never glow or do anything special.
Though the fanboy inside me would point out that Aang is a questionable example. His tattoos aren't magical. They glow only because they follow the Chi paths in his body and because he's the avatar. Otherwise they are perfectly normal tattoos without any real special effect - and purely symbolic. Combustion Man would be a better example because his tattoo actually DOES do something.

Yeah, Aang is Not An Example in the strictest sense, and I think that image is in use somewhere else.
The Aang pic is already on Characters.Avatar The Last Airbender Team Avatar, for the record.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThis one perhaps. It's from the same game.
Needs a "before" pic, it's too indistinct with the glow.
That looks good.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLots of good examples, we may need a crowner.
I like snow. It's soft and comfortable to walk barefoot in. Wait, you mean the character? Well, he makes for a good pic too.
Check out my fanfiction!Either of the Snow pics are pretty good.

Here's a pic of movie!Aang...the trope, from the description, doesn't seem to limit this to tattoos that are the source of someone's power, and the page lists the cartoon as an example, so this should be valid as well.
+1

Nominations for replacement images:
The image is kinda meh. For one, it looks like it's some sort of magic spell hitting her in the face, rather that a tattoo that glows. I would offer something less ambiguous like this◊?
