No,they were being hypocrites. Twilight bragged about the magical properties,Rarity bragged about the fashion design,AJ bragged about the strength,...and guess who was the Unicorn under there? Who was the strong one under there? Who designed the costume? The very braggarts themselves.
It was freaking obnoxious to watch.
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matterI just thought it was them winding up RD, and even then was much lighter hearted than the extreme bragging she was doing beforehand. Sorta a 'not nice when someone is in your face about how cooler they are than you, is it?' type goading. It was very self righteous but I don't think it was deviating from the point they were making.

I would say what I think, but I'm conditioned from a friend of mine who says that Rainbow Dash is the worst pony ever and she deserved it.
Number one fan of characters that appear only once and ultimately were a recurring character either in disguise or trying a new image.I remember all 119 episodes by name. The early days of the show are where it starts getting Wall Bangery. As in, from Friendship is Magic to The Cutie Pox. However, a Wall Banger moment from recent MLP memory is from an episode that will air in 2 weeks from today. It's called On Your Marks, and it's about The CMC having no idea what their Cutie Marks mean, even though in Season 5 Episode 18, AKR made it clear that those Marks were meant to signify not only their unbreakable bond, but also their desire to help ponies with ambiguous talents as to their Cutie Marks.
What happened? Why am I not allowed to post anymore!?So you're complaining about an episode that hasn't even aired yet?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Benefit of the doubt is be had for even the most questionable of episode plots.
An un-aired episode summary hardly ever gives full descriptions of the plot. Sometimes this means that it isn't accurate...being too simplified.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Even then, I don't think that's the accurate plot description of the episode.

Cut off one head 2 more shall take it's place! Hail HydraComplaining thread, so closing.

Concerning MMDW, I don't think the other five were really being hypocrites about it as much as they were just teasing RD and pretty dropping an Anvil on her in a very unsubtle way (look how HUMBLE this hero is... Hint. Hint. HINT.). My problem with the episode is more it being another case where a side is justified in very self righteously putting another character in their place, something the show tends to avoid in favor of Laser-Guided Karma outcomes and dual sided perspectives.
I also thought it was a bit too cynical, with the public masses quickly going from adoring RD to openly thinking she was a complete loser, though there might be a 'publicity is fickle' Aesop there too.
As for Dragon Quest, I admit it was rather dull to me. For some reason I thought Fluttershy's Beware the Nice Ones moment at the start was the one time they kinda overdone it (beating up a friend because they point out you owe them a favor). Add to that being scolded for teasing the show's regular snarky Bratty Half-Pint Spike, RD was sorta getting The Complainer Is Always Wrong treatment a lot at this point (though "Hurricane Fluttershy" straight afterwards remedied things a bit).
