One Punch Man

I thought the reason Saitama got stronger than Darkshine despite doing a comparatively less intensive training regime was because Saitama trained specifically with the goal of becoming the strongest hero, able to defeat enemies with a single punch. If the theory that Saitama actually became a mysterious being through his training is correct, that means it doesn't matter what kind of training he did, only that he did it for so long with such single-minded focus.

Dark Shine's motives, however, IIRC, was just not to be a puny nerd anymore.

Screw Murata; I'll riot if the season finale isn't Monster Monster Monster Monster Garou vs Saitama!

The art style shifts to Mob Psycho 100 style in lieu of Murata not finishing the Garou arc in time.

We already knew that. On an unrelated note: Superalloy Darkshine's English voice is great, I love that they actually bothered to cast a black guy (Zeno Robinson) to voice him.

Everyone saw that coming, but hey, it's nice to have a confirmation.

I, for me, can't wait to see King, the strongest and most badass man alive, start to kick some serious ass in animated form. ;3

He does manage to show himself being a badass, though. If only in videogames.

Speaking of which, do you remember that time when he was just about to curbstomp Team Fubuki at that videogame challenge and, for the first time, his King Engine started roaring for realz? Always thought it should be listed as both a Crowning Moment Of Awesome and a Crowning Moment Of Funny

I agree. I like how he's more level-headed than that sassy Tornado.

I totally expect that bit where King imagines himself doing a kamehameha to be in the opening for season 2.

It occurs to me that, had Saitama not caved in his skull with zero effort, the Underground King probably would've been a comparable threat to the other heroes as the Sea King. Makes me wonder about a theoretical One Punch Man without Saitama.

I don't know. The Sea King got to strut his stuff a bit before hand to build himself up as a credible threat.

All the Underground King has is a dream...that he appeared at the very end of.

I mean, I suppose just because he didn't look very strong doesn't mean he wasn't powerful, but unlike a lot of the other dudes, I can't really buy that he was anything close to the Sea King.

The underground king died because someone fell on top of him. I'm, uh, pretty sure he's not as strong as the sea king.

That someone was Saitama though.

The Sea King roflstomped everyone, and Saitama still no sold his sucker punch.

Despite it sounding hypocritical since I just said the Underground King didn't seem impressive, we can't judge someone by how they look fighting Saitama, which two notable exceptions.

So, found this fancomic that has Garou fight Boros, which takes place after Garou has gone through all of his evolutions. Sadly, it's not in English.

I don't expect it to actually happen or anything, but it does occur to me that it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to have a plot twist where Bofoy accidentally revives Boros by experimenting on his corpse, which he presumably has.

Of course everyone pales in comparison to Saitama. If anyone could keep up to him he'd be happy for once in a fight.

The universe is not allowed to give Saitama any joy in a fight because that's ultimately what he sacrificed for his ultimate power of being able to one punch anything. Saitama puts it best, he's so incredibly bored that he's feeling emotionally dead.
