This is... Not what I expected when I said that the zombie genre would get deconstructed yet again.
They also gave away basically the entire plot in that trailer. Not that romantic comedies are exactly unpredictable. Even one with a twist like this on them.

Bleye knows Sabers.Thankfully, the regeneration aspect seems to do away the possibility of necrophilia.
Welp. I am officially over zombies.
I'm a skeptical squirrel...
Now that zombie/human joke a friend made following Twilight is hilarious in hindsight. Eh, it looks like it will be better than Twilight. That's not saying much but I have a feeling you can at least laugh at this without marveling at how terrible it is.
This actually sounds interesting. I'm interested in how they are going to make a zombie sympathetic as a love interest. I mean vampires, even ugly ones, still have that whole neck sucking erotic type of thing, even if they want to kill you. Zombies just want to kill you.
From what I've read on Wikipedia, the source material was actually about a friendship. But meh, love, friendship, whatever, patatoes, potat-wait, that doesn't work.
Signatures are for lamers.Mild interest.
Fight smart, not fair.Let the Right One In with zombies?
I'm surprised I didn't think of it before.
I'm a skeptical squirrelI found this trailer in class, and I'd be lying if I said I'm not interested in it.
Hell, if it gets popular, I could use it to my advantage.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Wait, wait, wait. Necrophelia is sexing anything that's "dead", even if it's sentient? Sentient zombies would probably force us to reconsider our definition of the term.
Not that I see the problem with necrophelia given pre-mortem consent.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.Trailers Always Spoil, but Never Trust a Trailer. Anyway, this movie does look like it'll be decent. There's a quality about the trailer that makes me think the whole thing is going to be tongue-in-cheek.
Quasipseudonecrophilia? Ressurecrophilia? Vivae-mors-amare?
Wait, no, I just realized this was incredibly creepy.
I'd say "The only good zombie is a dead zombie anyway" but I guess that's the point...
Bleye knows Sabers.I must say that this looks utterly hilarious. Certainly intentionally.
The line "They'll eat anything with a heartbeat. I mean, I will too... but at least I'm conflicted about it" sums up so much about what's wrong with the modern audience's love of antiheroes, too.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableBeen there done that (in Sankarea)
I'm interested.
This trailer had me laughing. At least I know the Twilight aspect will NOT be true, and this might be something only a Genre Savvy mind can come up.
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...It's a manga about some dead zombie chick, according to Wikipedia. Also, its name sounds like a Sublime song.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. The Inclusions of the bonies is pretty uninspiring☠.
The flim's twist on the standard zombie plot is changing the zombies from irredeemable soulles monsters to redeemable monsters.
Having a second bunch of zombies who really are irredeemable soulless monsters undoes that distinction and unnecessarily shackles the plot to genre conventions

hashtagsarestupidWell, my guess is that they were trying to have some sort of conflict. If all of the zombies end up redeeming themselves, then there's no "Big Bad" for them to unite against.
The bonies do raise a good question though: How far must one go to become an irredeemable monster? From what I've read on the tropes page, this is a case of The Heartless (not linking because linking invalidates the spoiler). The zombies are powered by negative emotion, and do things that are evil (murder, cannibalism, eating brains to get high), but the bonies symbolise the irredeemable.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Oh I don't care how this ends up. This looks fun. Much more fun than the latest Sparks-novel-film-for-teh-moolah
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogNow you got me pondering the nature of man.
hashtagsarestupidI came. I saw. I watched the film. I likey. It's very sweet and warm and fuzzy.
So...what's the purpose with the Romeo and Juliet references? This is more...sane.
