Google "creative writing prompts" and you will find hundreds of sites with a list of themes.

Also, is the problem that you can't start writing, or is that you can't stick to projects?

It seems to be both. I have a hard time starting, but an equally tough time sticking. Sorry, there's no way that doesn't sound pathetic.

If you have trouble staying on one project, then try writing poetry or short stories— that's what I did a few years ago when I realized how long all my projects were.

This will come across as desperate, but I don't really know where else to post this. I've been having difficulty staying motivated to write. I've tried Nanowrimo four times as of this November, tried many similar programs, and others besides and I still can't get to writing. I know it's something I really want to do, but I have almost no practice at the craft so I feel a bit hopeless here.
Anyway, to get to the point. I was thinking some posters could provide a challenge or idea that I would have to work with as I seem to work best with restrictions. So if anyone would like to help, could I get any writing challenges?
