So this RPG just came out for the Vita last week. Heard it's pretty good yet it doesn't have a page yet...Anyway, it has a VERY glowing review at Destructoid by the infamous Jim Sterling, saying such things as:

Ragnarok Odyssey is such a success because it gets the Play Station Vita. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it's damn near perfect as an example of exactly how Vita games should be. This, right here, is a masterclass in handheld software design.

All I know is, since I just got my Vita and I'm hurting for games, I got a feeling this + Persona 4 Golden + some others will be good purchases over the next 2 months.

From the videos I've seen of it it's barely anything like what most people know of the Ragnarok videogames, being more like the Monster Hunter clones that still carry the PSP. However, it might instead be based on the original comic series.

It also seems to look only slightly better than a 3DS game, which is a bit disappointing given how much more powerful the Vita's hardware is.

All this said, since titles like Gods Eater Burst and, yes, the Monster Hunter Portable series are still moving PSP units such a game might be just what the Vita needs to pull out of its sales slump.

I HAVE THE GAME. Specifically the Mercenary Edition (comes with game, soundtrack, artbook/strategy guide, and 10 randomly selected monster trading cards). The best part is that I managed to trade about 10 of my old PS 2, PSP, and PS 3 games for the thing while still having about $7 left over for trade credit.

Anyway, I'm excited to play this all night when possible.

Hey, you know it's getting an enhanced sequel-esque game.

"Ragnarok Odyssey Ace"

new features such as...

Revamped weapon crafting, New monsters and Giants, New locations to explore, CPU allies, messload more outfits and hats to get, collaboration items, and more!

Oh yeah, I've heard of that one. I hear I could carry over my progress from Vanilla Odyssey into Ace. If that's true, then maybe I should trade my game in for the new one.

Maybe not so much Progress...

since the whole revamping of weapon crafting, dunno if many things can be carried over, from what I recall, they will allow tranfers of a single Weapon card along with every DLC outfit that has been obtained, maybe more outfits?
