How well an image works shouldn't be judged on the source's popularity. That said, the Captain America cover does work much better here.
I didn't see it in the examples list, so it should be verified as an actual example, but other than that I agree that it works better than Scott.
Bump; any other thoughts?
I think the suggestion is far worse, almost to the point of JAFAAC. What do the visuals actually add there that's relevant to the trope? I just see him posing and the text doing all the work. In the current it's at least obvious he's travelling somewhere to settle a score.
Check out my fanfiction!Current is superior.
Current is cleaner, and both rely on the text. I say keep the current unless you can get an image that doesn't rely on text.

Clock's up; locking for inactivity. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
The current image is just a guy over a train, which may happen at several possible circumstances. I suggest to use instead Avengers 4◊. It is both illustrative, with Silver-Age subtitle "Captain America lives again" (and who is almost "jumping to the reader"), and arguably one of the most important examples in itself. It also helps that many readers will be familiar with that return, as to understand by it what the trope is about; I doubt there will be a similar ammount of readers familiar with Scott Pilgrim.
