"While I appreciate the sentiment, that is not strictly true. I may make the task of stopping Mephisto a lot easier, but I am not necessary" Goldilocks said, stepping over to Max. Without warning, she whipped her clawed hand up and clamped it down on Max's neck, thankfully shifting it just in time so it was no longer sharp "And don't forget my warning to Recon and everyone else back in Green Fields, Max. If you try that kind of stunt again, I will tear our your throat" she warned him in a growl, pressing her grip harder for emphasis, "next time you want to avenge someone trying to kill me, make sure they actually tried to kill me." With that she let him go and turned back towards the others.

"Anyway, I don't know why either" Goldilocks muttered in an exasperated tone in response to Recon's point about Jacob; as she said it, she started walking towards Molly and Jacob. "Let me just get it over with, then we'll be on our way" she continued, switching her sword to her good hand and bringing it up in preparation to stab down at Jacob.

"Lisa, stop" Clark said. The demonette did so, though clearly with some confusion, and looked over to see the former cop and the french caravan guard both aiming their guns at her. "I can't just stand by and let this continue; Molly and Jeff are right. It's not okay to torture and kill Jacob just because he might be an enemy" he continued, resolute in his statement.

"Are all of you really so naive? Yes, he might be an enemy, but where we are right now, and our goal? We can't risk letting him go or bringing him with us. However small the chance is that he'd go to Mephisto is not worth the damage he could cause doing so" Goldilocks scolded him, but Clark didn't falter.

Then another voice pierced into the standoff. "Then just leave him with the fucking werewolf bitch" Arthur said loudly, walking up to the scene with two sacks of fruit slung behind one shoulder and a chunk of meat in his free hand. "She's staying behind anyway, so she can keep him from going to Mephisto. Even if he gets away from her, she could track him down before he got very far" the half runner explained, then took a bite out of the chunk of meat.

"Was that solution really so hard to see?" Arthur continued between chewing. "Bunch of fucking drama heads making this more complicated than it has to be" he criticized them, then turned and started walking in the rough direction of the vehicles, "I'm gonna get back to the truck before it gets dark."

"... I can live with that" Clark mentioned, his eyebrows raising slightly as he lowered his gun. He then turned to Coline to explain to her what was going on, since she couldn't actually understand a word anyone else had said.

"It's... Acceptable" Goldilocks admitted, lowering her sword and looking to Recon and Max for their thoughts.

While that was happening, Jeff gasped for air as his lung was getting healed, then spat up some blood and cringed a lot, since as usual the healing still felt like thousands upon thousands of tiny stabbing needles. Opening his eyes a bit, he noticed the blood trickling from Israfel's nose and got a little bit of concern in his expression. "Jheesh, stop" Jeff muttered through grit teeth, grabbing Israfel's wrist and trying to push her arm away, "don't push yourself to injury just to heal me." Jeff's remaining injuries were matched by Israfel now being about dead tired, but his already weak arms were countered by the fact that she was a dominion; he wasn't moving her arm anywhere unless she let him.

"Emerson's pretty fast; we could send him to find out what's going on" Garnet suggested to Pyro, setting her Go Fish hand down for a moment and standing up. "Emerson, could you do that?" she hollered up towards the roof of the truck where the gnome was, knowing he would have heard the suggestion.

"Nae. I am busy" Emerson answered, his gaze still locked on Shinespark circling above them. Garnet pouted in both frustration and confusion.

Over at the other two vehicles, Counter glanced at his radio, sighed, then shook his head. "To be honest, I'm stumped. If it were some kind of attack I'd expect a lot more gunfire and for them to be hollering on the radio. But this? No idea" Counter responded truthfully to Sheila.

Recon looked at Jacob one more time, then shrugged. Holstering his gun, he strolled out of the scene, heading to the vehicle.

"Sure thing," Max said to Lisa. "Leaving him in the woods means he can't follow us anymore."

He took a few steps over and crouched down next to Jeff. "Don't ever pull a stunt like that again you little shit," he said. "Your William Tell antics could have made it harder to stop Mephisto. And I don't trust you not to do it again, not when you still act like you haven't grown up since high school, thinking you're always right, willing to risk the entire world just to prove to your girlfriend that you aren't really a scared little boy, so I'm confiscating this from you." He picked up Lisa's revolver that Jeff had been using and stood up. "Let's go."

"Well last I heard on the radio, they had that there cultist," Orion said. "So I imagine they're just making him dance." He mimed shooting at the ground with his hand in the shape of a finger gun. "Mexican hat dance, you hear?"

Red just shook his head.

"I feel like we're in for quite a story when they get back. And probably a few less people in our party." the ex-boxer guessed grimly.

"This orchard's cursed or something. We should get out of here before more bad shi... - I mean - more bad things start to happen." Red said, watching his language around his daughter.

Deciding that it would be in his best interests to attempt something resembling a patrol of the forest, Roderick had begun wandering around and keeping an eye out for any unfriendly faces. As it is with most patrols, Roderick didn't see much other than trees and the occasional squirrel.

After a few minutes of walking through the forest, Roderick heard screams of pain. Assuming that someone had managed to step in a bear trap, Roderick promptly began jogging towards the source of the sounds.

Then Roderick heard a variety of gunshots and promptly drew his shotgun and began sprinting towards whoever was fighting (Roderick's first suspicion was that his newfound allies had stumbled across a small group of zombies or bandits).

Upon reaching the location of Goldilocks and Co., Roderick took one look at the situation and pointed his Shotgun at Goldilocks before gesturing at Jacob and Jeff and saying "Did the demon bitch do this? Cos' if she did I will not hesitate to put her down unless you give me a damn good reason not to."

Jeff started laughing, painfully, but laughing, at Max's words to him; he tried to keep Max from taking the gun, but in his condition and with his arms, that wasn't happening. "You really think, that's what's going on?" Jeff asked rhetorically after max took the gun, pausing to wince with pain occasionally. "Then you're an even bigger, fucking idiot than I thought... I don't care if, you're the second coming of Jesus Christ, come to rescue all our souls from, damnation; if you torture someone, in front of me, I will put a stop, to it" he continued through grit teeth, glaring death in Max's direction, "and if you pull, some shit like that, trying to defend it again? I will kill you."

"Everyone needs to calm down" Clark said in that stern policeman tone, stepping between Max and Jeff, lest the former fireman decide to start something in response to Jeff's statement. "You should probably just be quiet for a while" he told Jeff, before turning to Max, "and you; I don't know if I'd go as far as trying to kill you, but he is right. No matter what stakes are on the table, there's better ways for us to deal with things like this than torturing someone." Under Clark's previous instruction, and since she still couldn't understand anything they were saying, Coline just stayed to the side, her LMG slowly scanning back and forth among the whole group and ready to open fire on anyone on at a moment's notice. She kept pausing her aim on Goldilocks though, ready to shoot the demonette more than anyone else.

It was about then that Roderick arrived, and Coline switched aim to him until she realized he was only aiming at Goldilocks, and went back to how she'd been before. Clark however, whipped his gun around to aim at Roderick. Goldilocks, having been just about to say something to Max, looked over at Roderick with a raised eyebrow. "I did that one, because he's a cultist" Goldilocks admitted in a tone like she clearly didn't see what was wrong with that, as she motioned to Jacob. "He did that one however, out of a misguided attempt to avenge him shooting me" she continued, pointing to Max then to Jeff.

"Also..." Goldilocks trailed off, stepping over to Max and staring at him intently. "I believe that is mine" she muttered, holding out her hand in expectation for Max to give her the revolver.

Vehicles

Counter frowned ever so slightly at Orion's statement. "That's right, they did say something like that... But Jacob, a cultist? Guy had some weird priorities sometimes, but it never seemed like he wasn't on our side" Counter said, shaking his head a little.

Meanwhile, over in the firetruck, Garnet's frustration continued to grow. "Why haven't they told us more over the radio!" Garnet said, and looked over at the radio at the front of the firetruck. "That's it, I'm getting some answers" she muttered, and started to move up to the driver and passenger seats.

"So, you knew him? What was he like, personality-wise? I mean, did he seem untrustworthy at any time? Because I'd be pretty surprised if it came out of the blue or anything like that." Sheila slipped back into interview mode rather seamlessly , hoping her bugs hadn't ran out of charge yet. It would seem to suspicuious if she wrote notes down, after all.

"Wait, Garnet, where are you going without a gun? Pyro can go, he's armed, but, no offence, without Emerson, you can't take on whatever the hell is out there. I don't want to have to check you too." Shay called back at Garnet, locking the doors if he could.

Israfel sighed, as she stopped using the hands. "Don't talk, or the wounds will reopen soon. I'll fix the rest when I'm rested." she added, resisting the urge to fall flat on her face. She gritted her teeth as she pulled the dagger and start cutting strips on her dress, turning it into a miniskirt version of it. He then picked the clean ones and used it to bandage the wounded Jeff while everyone was busy bickering.

When all was said and done, she stood up, grabbing the remainder of clean makeshift bandages and began walking towards Jacob. She then sighed. "I put a bit of trust in this guy, cultist or not, he helped me take down that reaper. You don't have that much balls being a simple cultist.". She then began to make some bandages on Jacob's mauled arm."I have means to monitor him 24/7 for the time being, regardless. Shinespark will see to that."She then eyed Goldilocks. "If we start judging people for their association with demons so lightly perhaps I should change mine about yours, Goldilocks." She added, finishing the bandages on Jacob.

And then she fell flat on her face, sprawled on the ground in a rather awkward pose with her butt pointing upwards, tiredness making her body give in.

Goldilocks did turn Israfel's way as the angel spoke, lowering her eyebrows; she kept standing near Max though, waiting for the return of her gun. Lost in thought for a moment, Goldilocks was unable to form a proper response to Israfel before the angel seemingly passed out; the position the angel had fallen in made Goldilocks unable to help but raise an eyebrow.

Clark glanced Israfel's way as well, and sighed. "Nothing's gonna get resolved right if we keep pointing guns at each other" Clark muttered, lowering his own gun and informing Coline in French to do the same. The caravan guard looked very reluctant to do so, but complied. "How about it Lisa? We've been willing to believe you actually switched allegiance; what's different about Jacob that we couldn't believe he has?" he asked the demonette.

"Frankly from what we both know of other succubi, even I don't think you should fully trust me; not so long as any other succubus could easily impersonate me. I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to keep me in handcuffs for the entire trip... Not that that would help you much if I wasn't on your side though" Goldilocks responded, shaking her head just a little. "But fine, I see your point. I don't like the idea of tying up one of our assets just to babysit a possible traitor 24/7... Then again, you already do the same with me, don't you?" she said rhetorically, knowing damn well not everyone in the group thought she could be trusted.

"How about it then, cultist?" Goldilocks asked, just about spitting out the word as she turned her attention to where Jacob was still practically clutching onto Molly.

Jacob sniffled a bit, avoiding looking at Goldilocks. After a moment, and with a little effort, he sat up straight, though kept his head facing downward. "I... I don't like people having the wrong idea about me! I want to set things straight and clear my name..." Jacob trailed off, then raised his head up to look at the rest of the group, including Goldilocks, the remains of tears still glistening down his face. "Let me come with you to Kentucky, to where the cult is. It's the way you guys are heading anyway, and there's stuff you can get there to help with the rest of the journey; we all know where Alearth keeps her good ritual ingredients, because she would make us fetch them for her. She didn't usually have anything really special, but what she did have she usually has plenty of" he suggested to them.

"What sort of resistance can we expect from the cult?" Goldilocks questioned, in part just to see how genuine Jacob's response would be.

"Well, there's Alearth, a pair of vampires, and some other undead, usually skeletons and walkers, but occasionally there was a ghoul, too. Last time I was there, it was about half a dozen of each between skeletons and walkers, plus one ghoul" Jacob answered with only the natural hesitation of trying to recall something from long ago, "oh, and of course the other cultists. There was seven... No, six other guys who were in the cult when I left."

"Come on guys, this silence is ridiculous. What the heck is going on?" Garnet's voice suddenly asked over the radio.

"Jacob turned out to be a cultist, and some of these idiots shot each other over it and just generally started acting like a bunch of drama queens. It's done with now, and we're leaving Jacob behind with the werewolf. We'll be back with food in a little while" Arthur's voice responded to her, not knowing that this new possibility had been brought to light after he'd left.

Vehicles

"Well, he came and joined Gary's caravan about a year ago, so about as well as you could know anyone after only a year of all this" Counter said admittedly, scratching his chin with one hand. "He did his job just like anyone else while we were out on the road. Wasn't the greatest shot at first, but he did seem to know a fair deal about the monsters... Makes sense now if he was a cultist, but we always figured he just kept up well with the GPS pamphlets" he continued with a slight shrug.

"Only time the guy ever really seemed off was when off duty while we were in a town. Guy had a bit of an obsession with hot women; more so than normal guys. He was a bit of skirt flipper at times, if you know what I mean; couldn't keep his eyes, and occasionally his hands, to himself" Counter went on, pausing for a bit as he remembered something else and looked a bit confused. "Strangest thing though... I remember a few days after he said it was his birthday, a few of us guys decided to pitch in for a present for him: a call girl. We figured it'd be the perfect surprise for him, but instead when she went into his room he panicked for some reason and kicked her out. We thought it was performance anxiety; made fun of him for it for months, heh... But thinking about it now, if he really is some kind of cultist, then maybe he threw her out for some other reason" he finished, mostly just thinking out loud towards the end.

Meanwhile, in the firetruck, Garnet glanced at Shay with a confused expression. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm just going to use the radio" Garnet told him, then started to use the radio in the firetruck. "Come on guys, this silence is ridiculous. What the heck is going on?" she asked insistently into the mouthpiece.

"Jacob turned out to be a cultist, and some of these idiots shot each other over it and just generally started acting like a bunch of drama queens. It's done with now, and we're leaving Jacob behind with the werewolf. We'll be back with food in a little while" Arthur's voice responded to her.

"Finally" Garnet muttered, rolling her eyes. She sat there for a few moments as what Arthur had said slowly sunk in. "... Wait, what?!"

"Glad that this is more or less solved then." Matt said, checking the load of his rifle."Waste of bullets." He then whipped his camera and took a photograph of Israfel's kind of awkward position. "This goes into my private stash." He said, somewhat amused.

"But leaving her angelic ass out in the buff would be awkward." He added, motioning forward to try and carry her."Oof. She weighs a lot for something that's supposed to prance in the clouds around." He added, while trying to heave her in his back. He then sneezed, one of the flopping wings wreaking havok on his nose.

"What's a cultist? And where's the werewolf?" Sophia asked, looking scared. Red turned and gave her a comforting pat on the shoulder.

"The werewolf's gone now, sweetie. And a cultist is... a bad guy. A bad guy who works with demons." Red said, worried about the furious expression on his daughter's face when he told her what a cultist was.

"Where is he? I wanna kill him!" Sophia said, startling Red with her ferocity. It wasn't too surprising, given that Sophia's mother had just been killed by a succubus but it still sounded horribly viscious coming from a child.

"Sophia, don't talk like that! He's gone now and you couldn't kill a cultist even if you tried. They're dangerous. Promise me you won't go looking for trouble from them." Red said sternly, determined to keep the last remaining member of his family safe.

"I promise. But I want to learn how to fight! I want to kill demons!" Sophia said, sounding determined. Meanwhile, Earl finished running to the vehicles, panting and looking out of breath.

"Hey man! What the heck happened out there!" Red asked. Jacob just swore and continued to pant from fatigue.

"Oh, good. Just there's too much testosterone and drama queens in this group, y'know. Like the runner said. Just carry on." Feeling rather foolish for his assumption, Shay tried to cover it up, succeding only in making it a notch worse.

Abruptly changing the subject from Garnet to Sophia, Shay offered, rather impulsively, "Well, if you want, I could give you some self-defense lessons at night. They might not do much, but they could help against bad humans, or if you're in real trouble. You'll have to promise not to try and purposely fight demons or big monsters or be a bully though, otherwise I won't teach you." Hastily adding the last bit on, anticipating Red's reaction if he didn't, and simply out of not wanting to see Sophia exact 'revenge' and get herself killed in the process.

"Misses the looks, but can't handle it when it comes down to the sex? Guessing he was in a succubus cult then, and he didin't like the memories. I guess he's a risk if we meet another succubus. What about the wolf?" Sheila nodded, rather thrilled that they were ditching the werewolf, not that she would dream of letting it show when her companions would likely be angry over the situation, or mistake her for being happy about Jacob's departure

Roderick relaxed a little bit after Goldilocks explained why she had been torturing and attacking people. He still didn't trust her, but he wasn't going to shoot her just yet. Present, Forest

"Still looking to protect me? Aw" Goldilocks said to Max with some sarcasm and just a hint of mockery, tilting her head like someone making a comment about a cute animal. "Just don't forget what I told you" she said seriously, leveling her head and giving Max a momentary glare before turning towards Roderick.

"We're not sure what his plans are right now. He claims to be reformed, but I think we'll see just how reformed he is when we go pay a visit to his former master" Goldilocks explained to the eager bounty hunter.

"I think you mean if we go. Right now we're headed North East to go around some bad areas. If we want to go to Kentucky we'll have to swing back around South after getting around them" Clark interjected, giving Max a suspicious glance due to his comment about Coline. "Is it really gonna be worth the detour? It's not like it's going to be dangerless either" he continued, looking back to Goldilocks.

"That is true, but magical ingredients could serve both me and the angel a long ways. All we have right now is whatever she already has and some scraps from Molly's dogs" Goldilocks responded, then paused for a moment. "... We should continue this back at the vehicles, after we finally come back with that food we were sent for" she suggested, and prepared to leave.

Meanwhile, Jacob glanced at Molly. "Ah come on; I said, I used to be a cultist. But I was never in it to hurt people, so when they told me to go blow some dudes up I just went AWOL and split" Jacob said, a bit nervously now that the werewolf he was within arm's reach of was questioning him suspiciously. Molly couldn't quite tell for sure if he was lying; he mainly seemed terrified, which could mean he was just lying out of desperation or that he was just plain terrified. It didn't seem like he had more to say, but even if he did he was interrupted before doing so by Goldilocks' rapier lightly poking him in the back, making him yelp slightly.

"On your feet. Let's go" Goldilocks ordered him, to which Jacob quickly complied. The demonette then looked to the side at Molly. "So, we're leaving you here from what I've heard. I'm sorry, if that means anything for you. Try to remember to use your monster form more carefully, okay? It may be powerful, but you need to be the one deciding when the right time to use it is; do not let it make the decision for you" she told the half lycan, to give her some final, parting advice.

Shortly afterward, everyone except Molly headed towards the vehicles.

Present, Vehicles

Ignoring Shay, Garnet moved back over to where Red and Sophia were, taking slight pause as she heard Sophia's comment about wanting to kill demons. "Hey, she's going to be okay when Lisa gets back here, right?" Garnet asked Red, worried about how the younger girl would react to their friendly succubus.

Meanwhile over at Orion's car, Counter shrugged. "Molly? Heck if I really know. Met her only days ago, back in Green Fields; she was one of the bounty hunters the sheriff there had hired, apparently, and got bit only a few days before that. I've got a lotta trust for our former caravan leader, Gary, God rest his soul; and he had a lotta trust for the town sheriff, who swore the werewolf was legitimately half. But, even since our first fight alongside her, things became pretty clear that something wasn't quite right in her; let's just say this isn't the first time she apparently tried to harm a teammate" Counter said at length, as seemed to be his wont. "Not much else to say. Never quite got the chance to talk to her personally..." he trailed off, and now having run out of things to say, had begun thinking of how else to pass the time.

Then, he perked up with sudden inspiration. "Hey, you guys wanna play a few hands of poker while we're waiting?" Counter suggested, getting out his deck of cards and preparing to shuffle them in his hands.

((OOC:Feel free to post for this part guys, just remember it needs to wrap up with them still at or back at the vehicles for the next part to work.))

A bit later, Vehicles

It took about twenty minutes, but the group out in the forest managed to round up all their bags filled with fruit, their one bag now filled with dire wolf bits, and their empty bags, which they had hastily filled with fruit as well before going back.

Arthur had arrived well before them, tossing the two bags of fruit he had into the firetruck then climbing up top to finish eating his chunk of meat. Sometime after that, Flyer arrived, (Whom you guys may have missed being mysteriously absent from a lot of the previous posts.) having apparently tried to go back to the vehicles earlier, but ended up were the vehicles had been before they moved up the road a ways, and it had taken him until now to both figure out where to go and then to catch up.

As the group from the forest cleared the trees, Arthur looked over, noticing that they had brought Jacob, who was being prompted forward by Goldilocks with her rapier. "Hey, weren't we leaving him behind?" Arthur asked, unslinging his rifle but not aiming it.

"Our dominion friend thought it would be a good idea to bring him along anyway, so he's going to be her responsibility. She said something called 'Shinespark' would take care of it. Another angel I'm guessing" Goldilocks said, scanning her view across the vehicles. "Where is it?" she asked plainly.

"Uhh..." Counter stalled slightly when he saw Matt carrying the unconscious dominion over his shoulder. "I uh, I think it's that bird" he finally managed to say, pointing upwards at the circling falcon.

Goldilocks looked up and it clearly came together for her. "Ah yes, the 'robin' pet" Goldilocks muttered to herself, following the falcon with her gaze. You there, cherub, come down here. You see this Human? Your job is to watch him for Israfel now she transmitted to the lesser immortal.

"We've got a possible route plan" Clark spoke up, remembering that was a bit of an important topic to bring up to the whole group. "Jacob here was part of an underground cult in Kentucky, and if we clear them out on our way to the East Coast, we could get a lot of ritual ingredients for them" the former cop elaborated, pointing to Goldilocks then Israfel as 'them'.

"That's a bit out of the way, yank" Flyer cut in from his seat in the firetruck.

"Exactly. That's why we've all got to decide together if we're going to go that way. We've got until we reach the next safe town to figure it out" Clark went on in response.

"It'll be a bit of a waste bringing him along if we don't" Goldilocks mentioned, referring to Jacob.

Pyro looked at the cultist. "If you want, I can question him." He said, "Though why not just kill him here and feed him to the beast?" He glanced warily at the woods, half expecting a batshit werewolf to come barreling at him.

The falcon emitted light as soon as Goldilocks message reached it, shifting once more in a petite robin form, who then sat atop Jacob's head, chirping slightly.

Matt for the most part huffed and puffed. Hauling an Angel had been a weird experience, all the soft parts of Israfel rubbing him in top of the weight she had. He neatly put her in the big firetruck, before excusing himself out and going next to Sheila. He sat then, sighing, and coughed so slightly, motioning for Sheila to come closer before whispering.

"If they're still giving the Pulitzer, we might as well get it. The story's bigger than just a cliché redeemed demon. The angel is helping the demon. And now we've got a cultist. They could make books out of this alone." He added. His sight scanned for his companion, Fang.

Whom he found her quite happily tumbling and tossing in front of the dalmatian of the fireman. Odd, she's not that friendly to dogs usually. He added. But maybe she feels she has more in common with that dog than with direwolves.

Not pulling anything out of my ass here - Firock and I spoke about this.

"If we end up going near Kentucky, there's a UNAM base in Virginia that's on the way. That would help get us a helicopter and plane and it might help be get a pardon after all the shit I've been through." Earl added his two cents in.

Red had decided to teach his daughter the card game Speed to keep her in the truck so as to avoid her seeing that one of their team mates was a demon.

"Could you play with her for awhile? I gotta get Lisa to shift back into human form." Red muttered to Garnett before heading over to the succubus to ask her just that - making sure to explain the situation. Lisa seemed to like Sophia so, hopefully, she'd acquiesce.

Garnet nodded to Red, though had a slightly worried look on her face. It mostly went away as she moved forward to try and keep Sophia preoccupied with the card game. On the roof of the firetruck, Emerson could barely be heard saying to himself, "Not yet..." He was still staring at Shinespark.

"While I would not mind you killing the cultist, I think you'd have to contend with a very angry angel when she wakes up if you did that" Goldilocks warned Pyro fairly, sheathing her rapier now that Shinespark was in place on Jacob's head. "However, you questioning him would be unnecessary and a waste of effort; either the angel or myself could question him much more effectively if we decide that it's worth questioning him at all" she added, before turning to look at the approaching Red.

Clark looked at Earl with a confused expression. "Virginia, on the way to Kentucky from here? Don't you have that backwards?" Clark asked, not sure if he understood Earl right. "Still, it's not exactly a direct route, but I suppose swinging through Kentucky on the way to Virginia wouldn't be too big of a hassle, depending on where exactly this cult is in Kentucky" the former cop added, glancing at Jacob.

Jacob, nervously trying to cope with the fact that there was a cherub in the form of a robin on his head, glanced their way. "... Right around the middle, just South West of Frankfort" Jacob answered after having to take a moment to remember.

"Hmph. I guess that can work" Clark muttered.

Back with the demonette, she raised her eyebrows in surprise at Red's statement about Sophia and wanting her to hide because of the little girl; what she was surprised about exactly, or if it was some combination of the things he said or whatever, wasn't exactly clear. She closed her eyes and waited a moment before responding. "... You mean you haven't told her?" Goldilocks asked, back in her Human voice as she opened her now brown eyes, all her other demon features slowly shifting away. "Red, I understand not wanting to tell your daughter you're working with a demon, but what do you expect me to do if we come under attack; stay like this?" she asked, actually shifting to her brunette disguise she had used before instead of her default appearance. (She had met Sophia then been exposed as a succubus while in Crownpoint in that appearance, after all. She didn't know how much Sophia knew about all that, but why take the chance?)

"Also, what about her?" Goldilocks then questioned Red, pointing to the passenger seat of the firetruck where Matt had deposited the unmistakably-an-angel Israfel. "She can't even shift at will like I can; she needs a whole circle to do it, which she definitely isn't going to be doing any time soon" the demonette went on, narrowing her eyes, "but I suppose you can explain working with an angel, can't you?" Her tone made it clear she was being rhetorical; she very well knew the answer to that was yes, and even why. Her accompanying scowl made it clear however, that she was in no way happy about that or thought it was fair.

"Did you get pictures though? I'm sure you're familiar with the rule for unbeleivable stories, 'pics or it didn't happen'. Besides, unless the demon doesn't decide to come back, we better continue interviewing her, as far as I can tell, she's been involved in this demon overlord business from the get-go. And it would be rude to ditch the succubus, don't you think? Do you want to get on the wrong side of a monster, no matter how half they are?" Raising an eyebrow at Matt, with a flicker of an amused smile appearing on her face as she wondered just how fearless she was.

Matt sighed, and then started to manipulate the preview visor of the camera, eventually showing Sheila a pic where the angel unmistakably tapped the Demon's shoulder. It was the expression of the demon's distress and the angel's concern the selling point. Plus the fact the angel was lacking one wing. He then started showing his whole haul of pictures, briefly skipping the last one, the pantyshot.

"Meh, tigers, monsters. Same thing in the end. It's hunt or be hunted." Matt simply shrugged."It'd be a hassle to get on the wrong side, indeed." He paused. "But aren't humans also monsters from their point of view?" He wondered, a slight smirk appearing."But yeah, I agree the bundle sells better than the individual items. We should continue latching on that demon like ticks. And get some more stuff from the angel aswell."

Meanwhile, a soft groan and a slight shudder came from Israfel's limp stance. "Heavens, where am I?" she moaned, unable to move.

"How important are these ritual ingredients?" Max asked. "You've got to figure that we'll spend a day on this at least, maybe more if we get into the thick of things, so does getting all this stuff now make it easier or faster to get things done when we get to Stonehenge? We've got a pretty tight schedule, so no point getting them if we wind up getting there late."

"Kentucky... Virginia..." Orion started. "Of course you gonna wind up crossing West Virginia - unless you're heading way to the south. As if y'all wasn't white enough already." He chuckled.

Goldilocks turned her angered expression away from Red and became a bit more neutral as she looked to Max, thinking. "They won't let us do anything we couldn't do without them, probably, but what they will do is let us cast more spells without getting tired. What spells exactly though, depends on what this succubus keeps in stock" Goldilocks said to Max, thought for a few more moments, then looked to Jacob. "You said she usually has a lot of ingredients, yeah? What sort of magic did she usually do, and did she use the ingredients she had a lot of?" the demonette asked Jacob.

"Usually turning magic, for the undead I mentioned before" Jacob answered, his status as a former cultist showing through as he answered her question like he actually knew what he talking about. "Now that you mention it... She usually only used stuff she didn't have a lot of; that's one of the main things she'd send us out for, to get more frog legs and bugs and stuff" he went on, her question reminding him.

"She never went out on her own? Did she ever fight much?" Goldilocks continued to question him.

"Only when we got word of cthulians nearby. Then she'd get herself ready by..." Jacob trailed off, something clicking in his mind, "by asking for the stuff we usually had a lot of."

"Jackpot" Goldilocks muttered, smiling. "Sounds like this Alearth keeps herself stocked up on ingredients for combat spells, but doesn't get to use them often. That means if we crash the place and take them, they'll be exactly the kind of ingredients we'd want" the demonette finally fully answered Max, turning back to the fireman. She then paused for a few moments.

"... Hey, I still want my gun back, by the way" Goldilocks reminded him.

"Sounds good enough for me, then," Max said, pulling the revolver out and holding it out, making sure to keep the barrel pointed to the ground.

"Hey if y'all's going to go there and shoot up some cultist motherfuckers, I bet you gonna need more than a goddamn Tonka truck and that toy over there to haul all the guns you manage to grab there. Then of course you'd need someone like me to sell it off for top dollar to fund your little adventure,"Orion said.

"...for a cut of the profits, of course," he added. "Orion always gotta make money on the deal."
