Oh, the thing with Wild Hunt is that it's heavily implied nonetheless, given, you know, who they are.
When Esdeath's penchant for torture is almost played for laughs, that says everything about your story XD

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I'm the opposite; if a man did that to Tatsumi, I still wouldn't find it funny.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsIt's not the fact that she's a woman. It's the fact that a general became a lovestruck teenager almost overnight. Everybody in universe found it bizarre and alarming. There's no double standard here.
If Budo reacted similarly to Mine, I'd find it fucking hilarious all the same. Not because of the content, but because of the characters involved. Seeing a hulk like Budo turn into a schoolboy like Esdeath over a girl would be priceless, as it was for Esdeath to Tatsumi.
People are spoil-sports.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I think it's pretty natural for Esdeath to turn out that way given how new it is for her. The contrast to me comes more from her being an overenthusiastic inhuman warrior than a general, which doesn't apply quite as much to Budo, or at least, from what little we know of the dude anyway. The contrast also gets stronger personally because of being able to relate to Esdeath based on my past too I guess.

MMORPGs are serious business. She doesn't treat Tatsumi badly. That's the thing. She does love him, although one could argue that relationship is more of a Cool Big Sis thing (ala the island sequence) since Tatsumi isn't as interested in her as he is with Mine.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Is the thing with Mine more spread out in the manga, cause in the anime it was pretty much Slap-Slap-Kiss okay time to die. I did see Mine actually care about Tatsumi in some form other than being pissed off at each other in the manga, but I haven't read anything earlier than after the two mediums diverged.
MMORPGs are serious business.I'm sure there are slave masters who treat slaves nicely.
I treat all living things equally. That is to say, I eat all living thingsDid you just compare Tatsumi, who fights Esdeath directly and consistently rejects her advances (to no consequence, at that), to a slave?
Are you serious? That is your view of a slave-master relationship? That is insulting and needlessly inflammatory. Utterly disrespectful and shamelessly dismissive of the actual history of slavery.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I get what the person means, and while inflammatory, it highlights that there were slave owners that made the effort not to treat their slaves in inhuman ways, which ends up just hightlighting the sheer cruelty of it all by sheer juxtaposition of their caring treatment of their property and the fact that they had human property at all.
And how is Tatsumi a slave to Esdeath, exactly, hmmm? A dude who destroyed Esdeath's ability to freeze time? A dude who fought her toe to toe with his new B-Rabbit upgrade? A dude who was saved by her when Suzuka and Dorothea were molesting him? A dude who was treated well by her behind bars, and still said no to her advances even then, and still had no consequences directed at him since she never intended to kill him?
It's an inaccurate analogue. In reality, that relationship demonstrates his loyalty to his friends, her inability to understand love, and her dedication/care for him despite everything. Even the idea that he'll be enslaved by her holds little to no water because she's a genuine Mama Bear to people she likes (ala Tatsumi), not a slave owner in either literal or metaphorical sense.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.My thing was that the slave analogy is inaccurate. And I said she has an inability to understand love, yes. He's not interested, but she can't get that through her head. She treats him better than most Yanderes I know (holy fuck, Yuno Gasai), but she's still going about it wrong. Quit misrepresentin'. >:|
But saying she has a child's heart in a jar on her desk is incredibly silly on your part. That "with a child's heart" thing was meant to emphasize that she completely loses her composure around him like a schoolgirl. I don't see the point in a snide, snarky comment on her expense when it wasn't the point of that child's heart statement.
By the way, I'm really annoyed at how often TVT's ads crash my videos in other tabs. >:{

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I just realized the irony of Esedeath's character; she's the strongest one of the series by a significant margin and can win pretty much any fight with ease...and yet, she can't win the one thing she wants more than anything, Tatsumi's heart.
Now that is funny.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Esdeath is overall someone that I would describe as having a child's heart.
She can't be assed to lie to others so they feel better about her.
She doesn't care much about what's right or wrong so much as what she wants.
She has no internal conflict about how the one that loves her doesn't actually like who she is.
She's quick to torment and demolish her enemies but makes a total turn-around in behavior when people she actually cares about are involved.
Her feelings for Tatsumi have little to no sexuality in them (probably because she has little understanding of it herself, having not cared about it for a long-ass time), she pretty much had instant trust for him, and goes out of her way to try to impress him by showing off her superpowers.
She goes absolutely crazy over some other woman taking who she called dibs on with the love at first sight card.
Probably the most mature thing she's ever done is follow the empire's order to execute Tatsumi herself.

MMORPGs are serious business. So she's a Psychopathic Manchild basically.
That...makes sense actually, she is not mentally mature at all for all of her power.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.To Serocco: Zhou Yongkang once held the leash on North Korea, but he didn't affect internal affairs blatantly.
If you see me I'm on an accidental Archive Binge.Good point.
Esdeath is a Psychopathic Manchild? That does make sense, although I would say she does have a sex drive - see her "Oh! We shoulda showered together!" comment over Tatsumi - just one she doesn't understand either.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl."What's this liquid coming from groin area and why does it happen whenever I think of Tatsumi. I wonder what would happen if I touched it..."
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does."There's a giant worm surgically attached between your legs!"
"I think I found a button just beneath my stomach. Every time I press it, my knees feel weak and I start twitching. I've not yet heard of this in my medical research. I think I'll ask Wave for an answer."
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl. Here is btw the scene in the anime:
... Esdeath is not unaware how the sex thing works since she practically spends the first night trying to get Tatsumi to sleep with her
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! In regards to Esdeath's knowledge of sexuality, I recall Esdeath warning the prime minister not to let the emperor get any "adult diseases" when the prime minister talks about his plans to start bringing women to the emperor, so Esdeath has at least heard of STDs.
Did anyone know that the manga's first volume is getting it's official US release on Jan. 20? I just saw it on amazon last night and pre-ordered it today.

To be fair (to the censors), they still have their clothes on (and he's missing his arm; kinda like he's choking her), which is probably why it went through. Unless that's the DVD version; I've seen Highschool Of The Dead, Brynhilder, and Bleach both get affected by censorship on their TV release, and uncensored versions on their Blu-Ray release. It gets really jarring at times.
I wonder why it took Mangastream and manga publishers over here so long to catch onto this series.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Well, they don't have to translate Naruto anymore so the Mangastream guys could have thought of picking up new projects.
I've read the manga chapters after the divergent point now.
I didn't see any rape involving Bols' wife or child, though it's not beyond the imagination.
Esdeath finally shows why her name is like that about to torture...uh...whatever the lion swindler's name was(yeah I don't care that much about the assassin group)! And nothing happens again anyway. The enthusiasm doesn't feel particularly high but it's there alright. But since it's still exclusive to enemies, I'm finding it hard to care that much. I mean people want horrible things to happen to who they hate all the time in real life so I'm guessing that it's just not really notable to me.
I feel that Esdeath's cooking really warrants a color page. I mean I can kind of guess what it probably is but the grey makes it a lot less edible-looking.
eeeerrrrrrgh cliffhangers.
MMORPGs are serious business.
