I don't think there are any other illusion spam heroes. The only other heroes I can think of that has natural illusions are CK and Naga.

Well, there's Meepo and his hero spam. PL's power comes from Juxtapose allowing his illusions to breed, in a sense.

Pretty much. Before his buff that gave him 4.2 agility gain, he was nigh unusable. Nowadays, he can send a single illusion down a lane, and then that illusion'll create 7 more and, then they'll storm your towers and base and you and your team will waste time, effort and skills trying to take them down thinking the real deal is there when he's on the other side of the map. His stealth also isn't a problem so much as telling him apart from all the illusions is.

Naga and CK also make illusions, but those are more actively used for burst damage and such, not split pushing and sieging.

Naga has among the best pushing illusions of all, particularly when she picks up illusion items like a Manta. I'm not sure if any other hero has illusions with active abilities.

So much fun to use Chaos Knight with Mordigian's. Just activate it, then hit R->W->Q, and that should result in one dead whatever-it-is-you-were-targeting. Unless it's Lifestealer, who laughs at strength heroes.

EDIT: Also, I kind of wish that Brood would get a retool. She's fun for stomping dumb pubbies who can't buy wards or gems, but is pretty useless in everything else, as her other abilities are just a 300 max damage nuke and a really useless ult. Not to mention her spiderlings give way too much gold despite being so easy to kill.

Although she can take town towers faster than pretty much anyone else, perhaps barring Leshrac.

[up]I think Shadow Shaman and Pugna do a better job at that, really.

[up] There are quite a few successful Brood players in big tournaments. Invictus and Orange have showcased dominant Broods.

Anyone else just get an update? Neither the official site nor Cyborgmatt seem to have commented on it.

(Still no Skywrath... I'm going to guess that he, Bristlebogbackhog, and Elder Titan Chieftan are going to be released as a three-for-one at the end of the month.)

Seeing as being in the negative W/L ratio trench is killing me inside, I must regretfully start picking pubstompers every match. I'll look like a total trenchlord, but at least I can escape the endless horde of people who don't buy couriers and go all melee carries.

Broodmother isn't really the fastest hero for killing towers (death prophet and leshrac do it faster), but she has the least trouble to do it even early on.

[up]
I'd really love to play at that level occasionally. :D My enemies (sometimes) buy sentries to get rid of anti pull wards as starting items and shadowblade is almost useless as escape because enemies will buy dust as soon as they see you are close to finishing it. :/ Though it's fun if you have those guys on your side.

^^ You mean the unholy trio of Drow/Riki/Bounty?

May god have mercy on your soul.

(also, you had better stomp with drow before she gets rightfully nerfed to hell this week)

[up]Nah, I was thinking of Nyx/PL/Spirit Breaker. I dislike heroes that have no escapes as well as plain invis spells.

Well, just had a fun game online.

Managed to carry a team as Alchemist to victory despite the other team having a strong kill advantage on us.

Granted, it was a 4v5 game, but my (primarily Russian) team included things like a Necrolyte with a Mask of Madness and an Antimage with Urn of Shadows. And I got an uncommon Sniper misc at the end, so it's all good. grin

[up]I guess the Urn was because he thought Anti is a ganker (He isn't. At all), but I have no idea about that fucking Mask, man.

Anyway, just balled out of control as Lycan. Pity no one plays him anymore, he's actually pretty fun.

The only hero I ever put a Mo M on is Lone Druid, and that's only when I already have True Form up, plus rabid/war cry.

Mo M on lone druid is questionable. You just make it easier to focus you down. That extra damage taken hurts. And your bear, normally your main damage source, doesn't profit from it.
But necro with Mo M is pretty stupid. ^^
At least the urn on am gives him str and mana reg...

Yeah, clearly the Necro should have been using Armlet. What a bunch of idiots!

More seriously though, I've seen some crazy people put Armlets on nearly everybody. It can be surprisingly effective at times. Same thing with Mo M.

Poor Lycan's wolves got utterly destroyed in that one patch, but apparently people can't seem to consider using him for laning because they're so set in the jungling mindset. Ah welll.

Speaking of which, if you ever play as Naix, don't be fooled into staying in the jungle all the time. The guy's an excellent laner, and Open Wounds is pretty much a death sentence with nearby allies. And good god his ulti. I think my favorites moments were seeing one being carried around by Nyx Assassin, and another infesting Beastmaster's hawk. Nothing like sending in paratrooper ghouls!

[up]I know that most strength heroes love armlets. ESPECIALLY Skeleton King.

EDIT: Also, just discovered how fun Ethereal Blades are. Morphling+Ethereal Blade+Waveform=Severely maimed hero.

His attack damage got nerfed a little, he can no longer cast while in waveform, and his waveform ae was reduced. I think especially the second part hurt him the most.

Well, I just had a really shitty game.

It was one of those games where things gradually go down the tubes and the entire team descends into infighting... only for some reason everyone decided to gang up on me (12-9-13 Furion) even though I was pretty much carrying the game (and everyone else picked carries as well). Even though our Skeleton King finished off with a 0-14-something score.

On a side note, use sprout very carefully- if you do one thing wrong (such as sprouting someone just before the Storm Spirit ults into the tree ring) you will immediately get flamed to hell and back by EVERYONE.

Yeah, once someone decided you suck, it doesn't exactly matter what you do, they flame you for EVERYTHING. Though sk has the same problem as most melee carries. If you start losing, you get kited and only die. You can only run into the team fight and hope someone gets locked down...

I just had two awesome games. First game was quite easy, but it was the first time that I got a notification that the game had 25+ viewers. Didn't even know you get a notification for that. The game had two upvotes when I checked it later. Second game was a really hard start, but we fought back with good teamwork and overall good play (great ward placement, good timing with buybacks, good usage of skills by dark seer etc...). Even though I had Spectre and I suck hard with Spectre.

Pugna is fun for me, as I get to fuck poor Qo P, Lina, and Invoker up in mid by blocking their regen/nuking them whenever they cast a spell via Nether Ward.

EDIT: Apparently, a maxed Nether Ward will do 1400 delicious damage to Skywrath if he casts his maxed out Mana Flare. Jesus.
