Pokemon Conquest: Fate of Crimena (Role Playing)

Iris was just watching the discussion silently, until Althea mentioned brownies "Um... I'd like some brownies myself" Said Iris, she didn't eat much all day since she was worried about other things, like getting ready for the meeting "Cyril, would you like some?" She asked, now turned to Cyril and noticing that he was eyeing the brownies with very hungry eyes.

Cyril himself didn't want to get more involved in the discussion, it was clear that it would lead to nowhere since Ranmaru simply ignored what all of them said.

"No mistress, but thanks for asking." Said Cyril, now looking away from the brownies and just looking straight ahead.

"The look on your face a few seconds ago tells me otherwise, come on! Don't be shy!" She said in a way that almost sounded like she was mocking him, he had no reaction to it, he also didn't eat anything until now so she was getting worried, she then had a little idea "Oh I know, you only like my cooking and thinks you wouldn't like it" She said, with a smirk.

It was somewhat true, Cyril only ate something when she cooked it herself, just because he didn't want to bother her by making she buy something for him, except on the cases where Iris bought something for both of them without asking him if he would want it or not.

"W-What?! That's not...!" Said Cyril, for the first losing his composure.

"Then eat one, I know you're hungry!" Iris said, still smirking and was almost laughing at him.

"... All right, I'd like one" Said Cyril, blushing a bit as he did and that only made Iris giggle a bit.

Lucario was unphased by the death. If anything, Aaron was already emoting what he would feel. That seems to be the best part of being a Kanto Pokemon. You don’t have to feel hurt, for your trainers can feel it for you. He then looked at the brownies. Lucario tried not to give into the temptation. He grabbed his arm tightly.

“No... Master Aaron will think little of you if you indulge into your love...” Lucario said. Though by that time, Aaron finished burying his Pidgeot by a tree, to make as its grave. He then turned to Martel.

“If this bastard managed to enslave the Rayquaza, then he shall pay twice the damage he did. With his life.” Aaron said, putting two and two together.

“Get ready. Our quest to find Prince N begins now. We’re sure as hell not going to let Pidgeot’s death be in vain.” Aaron said as he walked off in the direction to where the temple would lie, and in that direction was a large mountain with an evened path that spiralled around the mountain. Aaron looked up and saw another Pidgeot. He knew just whose Pidgeot it was, and he smiled only a little. The more, the merrier, he always put it.

In the ocean, the leviathan approached the guardian of the sea, the small fairy that the three elders talked to before.

“Master Kyorge! Do you have any news?” The guardian asked. Kyorge responded. If anyone in the ocean could hear, it would just sound like a Wailord song, but in Manaphy’s ears, it was dialogue.

“Yes, Guardian Manaphy. I can confirm that my mediator had indeed picked a side...” Kyorge said.

“And?” Manaphy asked.

“...” Kyorge was silent. Manaphy knew the silence could only mean one thing.

“I see... What can we do to stop him?” Manaphy asked.

“... Nothing.” Kyorge said.

“NOTHING!? ARE YOU INSANE!?” Manaphy asked in anger.

“Some humans are going on an expedition to where he is. If they are lucky, they can take care of this problem for us.” Kyorge said. This was all the Ocean Master could say at this point now, as it began to swim away, much to Manaphy’s discontent.

Martel looked sheepishly at Althea "Would you mind if I had some of your brownies? They smell delectable." He chuckled despite himself.

He looked at Sir Aaron "You know I think we're going to get along like a house on fire. I don't intend to take this lying down. But If they have Rayquaza I dread to think. Who else have they gotten?" He shock his head "I don't care I'll stop them all. No matter the cost I won't let those who have laid their lives on the line and those who have lost it have their sacrifices be in vain. He nodded to Sir Aaron "Whenever you're ready lets get going we have a Prince to rescue, a kingdom to save and some bastards to kill." He marched off to follow Sir Aaron.

He whistled a short tune to which a Dewgong appeared, the last of the messager pokemon he had brought with him "I want you to go and try to find Lord Kyogre. Ask his help. We won't be able to stop Rayquaza alone. Beseach his aid, I don't care what you have to do just try to get it." He nodded "But if you can't find him or gain his aid go back to Aquarius and help them there. Do you understand?" The Dewgong nodded and set off.

"You know, I could go for some-"

"Hyperion."

"But they are just br-"

"Hyperion!"

Hyperion looked at the brownies the knights were sharing and sighed. "You know, just because you're too shy to talk to them doesn't mean that I can't have any brownies!" Nicholas merely gave him a reprimanding look, and he sighed again. "And what is that Pidgeot up there doing? Is that the Indigo Knight? Should we check him out?"

"The only thing we need do is wait for the expedition to begin, and with the funerary arrangements for Aaron's Pidgeot done, that should not be much longer."

Joshua listened to Sir Aaron's declaration of war and thusly judged him worthy of his respect by wordlessly marching after him with purpose. Seeing his master unhesitatingly march after the Knight, Perun swallows what was left of the bread.

"So it begins."

And then the Zebstrika trotted after his master.

Althea was still clinging at Sir Edwin's arm and smiled. "...Well, I uh, did it this morning...if only we have the facilities to bake in the wilderness."

Slowly detaching herself from him and heard Iris, Cyril, Sir Martel, Sir Nicholas' Hyperion wanting a piece of her brownies the Lucario's gaze, Althea plopped down the floor, rummaging the pastries she baked: Blueberry pie, brownies and bread.

Hearing what Sir Aaron said about the mission, she was even more determined to show her usefulness. It's going to be such a long journey, alright...

Elsie the Skitty scooted to her master after speaking with Nene, still isn't guilty from her temper from the way they treated her Aerie. "Nyaa, nyaa? Nyaa..." You're going to give everything to them? The bread could last a week.

She blushed, hugging the wraps of plastic as she answered. "I...guess they might have a huge appetite, right?"

If a Skitty could face-palm, she did so, but instead she tapped her forehead with her pink tail. "Nyaaa..." You're hopeless.

Althea rushed off to give everybody pie, brownies and bread while Elsie still is protectively following her master, giving everybody the look as she shyly handed-out pastries.

Meanwhile, the Pidgeot is still flapping midair unbeknownst to the duo.

"Um... Just the brownies are fine, eating everything now wouldn't be good," Said Iris, seeing Althea distributing the brownies, bread and... pie "Wait, what's the flavor of the pie?" She asked, looking at the pie with a look that made her seem like she hasn't eaten anything for days, Cyril just shot a glare at her, that's when she knew that it went a bit too far "Uh... Nevermind" She said, just eating one of the brownies with a rather disappointed look.

"All right... Let's start the search." Said Cyril, getting one brownie and eating it as he followed Sir Aaron.

"This will take a while, but it's the perfect time to show what I can do." Thought Iris as she followed Sir Aaron along with Cyril.

It took a while in the journey up the mountain for something to happen. Aaron and Lucario felt the icy cold freeze their skin, though Lucario was partially immune to it because of his fur. It didn’t help that a wind was making things more colder. Aaron looked up. Whatever the flying Ekans was, he knew that it had to attack from a high altitude to take his Pidgeot by surprise. And what better altitude than at the top of...

Aaron, and anyone that would follow him, would find themselves in the middle of the mountain’s path. Various members of the Vanillite family hover about, eying the humans as they made their way to the top.

The Dewgong that Martel sent out explored the sea, looking for the Kyorge. However, it couldn’t find the leviathan. Instead, it would eye Manaphy pacing back and forth, muttering something that seemed to sound like he’s worried.

The Dewgong just saw back in forth in fon of Manaphy almost like it was pacing.

"This is bad. This is bad. This is really really bad."

He continued to swim back and forth infont of the Pokemon there

"We need help. Badly. But who is there to go to. Kyogre can't be found. He's probably still asleep like they said."

All of a sudden as if realizing something Dewgong (Or as he liked to call himself Cervantes) stoped and said quite loudly "Of course I could ask them!"

He swum up extremely close to Manaphy "LORD MANAPHY! Forgive my calousness by I need to request your aid(.) my name is Cervantes and I searched for Lord Kyogre on behalf of my partner Martel one of the human leaders of a kingdom called Crimena(.) I need to ask your help(.) if you'll excuse my saying so Rayquaza has decided to help someone who is commanding an army of dragons and my partner doesn't think we'll be able to beat him on are own so I was sent to find Kyogre but I can't he's probably still asleep and so I wanted to ask for your aid and to ask you to lend whatever aid you can(!) my partner says that he doesn't care what he has to offer so tell me what you want in exchange(!) please this is vital(,) please!"Cervantes amazingly said all this in one breath.

punctuation has been added to make reading what Dewgong (Cervantes) says easier.

Edwin waited for Stumpy to return before starting to head out. The Breloom soon arrived. "Just delivered the message," he said.

"Cool," Edwin responded. "Now he head out," the Green Knight Leader said following the others. Breloom followed closely behind.......

A beat.

"By the way, the girl with the Skitty is giving out brownies," Edwin said.

"Nice, I like brownies!" Stumpy said. "Do they have nuts in them?"

"Nope."

"Pity."

"Its a really good thing the inside of my armor is lined with Abomasnow rubber!" Edwin said as the climbed up the mountain at a leisurely pace, chipper in spirits. "Really insulates my body temperature and protect me from the cold! How you holding up, Stumpy?"

"I-I-I-I-I-I h-h-hat-t-t-t-t-te you ssssssssso much!" the Breloom said as he shivered in the relative cold. He rubbed the sides of already small arms around himself in a vain attempt to stay warm. Being both reptilian and a species of fungi not used to frigid environments, to say Stumpy was not enjoying the trek would be an understatement. The fact he could tolerate it so well is due to a combination of the training he had over the years and the fact that Fighting types were naturally very physically hearty Pokemon.

"Of come on, it can't be that bad yet! We ain't even a quarter way up yet!" Edwin said. Then he noticed the various Vanillite line floating about. "Hey look, Vanillite families!" The Green Knight Leader happily waved to the ice cream looking Pokemon hello.

Stumpy would have growled, but his teeth were chattering too much for it to be effective.

Sir Joshua paid no heed to the cold, for his armor's anti-shock insulation proved itself to be quite serviceable in keeping his body warm against the frigid weather; Perun on the other hand had no such luck, but he was doing a far better job of hiding his discomfort from the cold than Stumpy.

"Fuuuh... Those confectionery-looking Pokemon are staring at us like Mandibuzz towards a potential meal..."

"Ignore them, they know that even with their numbers they cannot hope to defeat all of us."

"Even so... I don't like being watched like a piece of meat..."

Hyperion eyed the Vanillites suspiciously as they traversed the path. He had never trusted Ice type Pokémon, and all these giant ice cream cones floating about were making him nervous.

"I thought we would do an aerial search, not be stuck climbing an icy mountain chock full of these things." He complained. After all, what good were these wings he grew if he couldn't even use them? Nicholas merely ignored him and kept walking, complaining wasn't going to find N. "I don't know what's colder, you or the mountain."

Understanding from Sir Aaron that they'd be climbing a mountain, Ranmaru sent for furs and cloaks; now he was covered in them, with only his Nodachi being attached to his back outside them. Nene did not suffer from the cold overmuch thanks to her coat of fur — in fact, Ranmaru looked more than a bit like her with all the furs he wore — but she stayed close to him to keep warm.
"I hope that we won't have to fight them, not here," Ranmaru told Sir Joshua. "not where they have the advantage of terrain."

Althea walked, shivering from the cold. It doesn't help she wore shorts for this...though it's handy she's wearing a long sleeved sweater. Trekking the cold stony path, she hugged the Skitty close to her chest. She clung to the arm of the nearest Knight, wanting to get warm.

"Nyaa..." So cold...

"I need a hug, damnit." she cursed under her breath.

Iris and Cyril were managing to resist the cold fairly well, still Iris was shivering from time to time and had to put the helmet on "I-It's really cold in here, how's it g-going Cyril?" Asked her, while looking at the Vanillite with a rather worried expression.

"I'm fine, mistress, just a bit cold." Said Cyril, staying near Iris in case something happens.

When Althea clung to her arm, she was startle by her since she was focused on the Pokémon watching her, but once she saw the state of the girl, she didn't mind it much.

Ahead of the group were two figures, a human and what seemed to be a Haxorus, the human had his left hand enveloped in flames, they had stopped walking, maybe they were taking a quick pause.

"Oh no... What are they doing here?" Said Iris, not very happy after recognizing the figures.

Unfortunately, Sir Joshua's plate armor was icy cold to the touch when Aerie tried to hug his arm. One uncomfortable pause later, Joshua speaks to the squire.

"...Would you like to borrow my cape instead?"

Sir Joshua stops walking for a moment to undo the pins holding his crimson cape to his armor and then offers it to Aerie. Afterwards, he started to worry a bit about how the two young knights are doing since this is most likely their first time trekking in such a hostile environment. But his thoughts on the subject quickly ended when he saw a Haxorus and a man whose hand seems to be ablaze.

"?"

Perun, being well... Perun; snorted aggressively at the sight of the two unknowns and bellowed to them after galloping a bit closer in order to see them clearer.

"Identify yourselves! For you stand in the way of the Knight Leaders of Crimena!"

For some reason, Althea clung to two knights. Her breath were slow and rigid, hair cold from damp sweat. Since she was wearing a long sleeved shirt, she didn't feel the metallic cold much, except that it was too hard for her liking.

Sir Joshua then offered his cape to her. Althea smiled back and giggled weakly. "...T-thanks." The Skitty just rolled her eyes.

After wrapping the cape around her and Elsie, she continued walking down the path.

Hyperion looked at the man with surprise. "A Haxorus! Is he..?"

"No, we don't know him." Nicholas said bluntly. Hearing the Zebstrika speak, Nicholas nodded in agreement, although he was a lot more subtle. "Who are you?"

With a loud whooshing noise, the Pidgeot that had been shadowing the group swooped out of the sky and landed next to them. Abigail dropped off his back, feeling a lot more at home in the cold as a result of where she grew up.

Sir Joshua watched as the Pidgeot landed and it's master dismount from it's large but light form with a bit of interest.

"No wonder I felt that we were being watched..."

Joshua then ignored her for the time being as greetings can wait. Perun on the other hand, didn't notice the Pidgeot and simply kept glaring at the Haxorus and his human companion.

"Told you we should have checked that Pidgeot out." Hyperion muttered.

Nicholas gave Hyperion a nudge to shut up. "She's the Indigo Knight. And that man..." He returned his attention to the man who had just shown up. A stranger appearing out of nowhere with a Dragon Pokémon was definitely suspicious.

Edwin then noticed the two new beings in the middle of the path, one of them being a Haxorus. The Green Knight Leader knew that any human who befriended a Dragon type is automatically a badass by default.

"Oh boy," he said, "better brace yerself, buddy....." The Knight Leader then unsheathed seemingly two weapon, one a long thick staff and the other an axehead. He then attached the axehead upon the top of the staff and spun it around. With a *CLICK* the axehead screwed on tight. Stumpy, meanwhile, merely went into a battle stance.

"You know this guy?" Edwin quickly asked Iris.

Silently, Ranmaru drew the Nodachi. He held it with its blade parallel to, and its tip pointed slightly towards, the ground, his right hand supporting the blade at its half point.
"Hello there!" shouted Nene, running toward the man and his Pokemon. Ranmaru followed his partner, lagging a few steps behind the Absol.

Realising something was definitely up, Abigail had her spear drawn before her feet even hit the ground.

"There's a Zebstrika here...?" Said him, after hearing the sound of a Zebstrika nearby, he then notices the others "Oh, knights." He said, getting closer, his hand still ablaze.

"He's a childhood friend of mine, he's a travelling merchant, don't worry about him." Said Iris, taking her helmet off so he would recognize her better "Hey Jonathan, Alden. It's been two years."

"Iris?! Man, I haven't seen you and Cyril in a long time! What are you doing here?" He asked, a bit concerned about his friend but very happy for seeing her again.

"Hi Iris!" Said the Haxorus with a smile, however he was shivering a bit with the cold too.

"We're looking for prince N, what are YOU doing here?" At this point Iris put her helmet back on due to the cold.

"I was exploring places and came to look at the temple and see if I found something interesting in there." Explained Jonathan, he then started to get a bit more serious "I've seen a lot of weird stuff while I was here though, I bet you won't believe it."
