Yeah, I've been meaning to take this one here for a while.

Off the top of my head, just looking at it, this trope sounds like creating a situation so that the outcome always favors you, not by loading the dice or whatever, but by wording the terms it weird.

This trope is actually a Sister Trope to Hopeless Boss Fight where even if you win the Boss Fight, the Boss lives on.

That needs to change.

If you're going to claim an ambiguous name, you need evidence to back it up. That's almost always underuse (backed by usage counts) or misuse (backed by a wick check). This has been the TRS rules for some months now.

Please feel free to reopen a thread for this trope once you have the evidence ready to go in the OP.
