Gesundheit is a misleading name - it could be taken for any sneeze in fiction. Besides, the name's a little hard to spell anyway.

What should we rename it? Sounds Like A Sneeze, one of its redirects, is a little clearer... but I think we can do better.

If it's misleading, is it misused?

[up] Not much, but a portion of the examples are about the word "gesundheit", which isn't what the (clearly defined) trope is about.

Then I don't see a problem with the page, other than having a dialogue name.

Sorry, but I don't think "it's a little hard to spell" counts as a valid reason to rename a trope. Grab a few of the most common mispellings and trun them itno ridericts, and we're all doen.

This is also a common term which has entered general English use — it isn't obscure and shouldn't be hard to spell. We don't often do typo redirects.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

We don't allow typo redirects. The only exception is Zettai Ryouiki, because getting it right for anyone not speaking Japanese is a clusterfuck.

Hey, this has fewer than 50 links. Let me check for misuse...

(OP, this is technically your job any time you use the "ambiguous" or "misused" tags):

Misuse for literal sneezing

Misuse as natter / troper in-joke

Zero context

Ambiguous

The remainder are generally correct. That's about 15%. Not all that great, but not bad either.

German Language is correct. It's a word that has entered the English language.

^ I've seen the film, I just don't know how to classify the manifestation of it. And the page image caption for Explosive Decompression can stay, but the pothole has to go.

I'd say it's not misuse because Achoo's name clearly isn't a sneeze, though characters treat it like it is when they first hear it.

There's a running gag with people not realizing that Achoo is the guy's name because they mishear it as something else. For example, one time a character thinks they're talking about "a Jew". Anyway, one of the variations of the joke is that if someone uses "Achoo" out of context, the person they're talking to thinks they've sneezed. The trope is definitely used—the example just needs to be written more clearly.

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.

...the example just needs to be written more clearly.
That's why I filed it under "ambiguous" - sometimes the problem is not the example but the way it's written up.

Anyway, no real action is required here.
