So now we're removing spin-offs, right now we're only thinking of removing Elder Scrolls: Battlespire, Elder Scrolls: Redguard and Fallout: BOS. Please tell us of any other undeserving spin-offs that you think should be removed from the list.

oi oi oi, dont remove battlespire and redguard, i heard they're pretty good and contribute a lot to the lore the main series works with. also because im constantly busy with other games so if not for this i'd probably never get around to them.

Half of the list is already linked to its respectives pages. Then I'm gonna add all the remaning games and then we can begin

Also, an idea: As the games,each year, are listed in alphabetical order, we could choose the game we want to play first. For example, if we are in 1991, we can choose any game from that year, and play that. We do this by voting. This can be good when you aren't in the mood to play, say, a fantasy rpg, but you want to play an post apocaliptical one. Or maybe you are in the mood for a sandbox WRPG but not for a story-heavy JRPG.

Opinions?

Yeah, that sounds good to me. It also helps in those cases where people know they are going to be very busy, so they'd prefer to choose which they might miss out on.

Ok, we've decided to remove Fallout:BOS, Forever Kingdom, Evergrace, Geneforce series, Avernum series and Astonishia Story. Please tell us of any other game you think that needs to be removed from the list.

You've removed the entire Geneforce and Avernum series?

I always heard those games were pretty good.

They are indie games, It'll only make the list bigger if we started to put indies. But as they are good, I'm thinking of what should I do. What you think?

I’m surprised that WOW and FFXI aren’t on the list, (probably the two most popular MMORPGS). Not doing that genre?

I can help with some of them(Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Pkmn Emerald, etc.)

Can't help with older games becuz I don't have the consoles for it though :(

@Vanishingreality: I'm sure they don't want people to think they have to sell their souls to The Devil and Hades Blizzard and Square to participate. Plus, you can't "finish" those games except by quitting.

As for Geneforge and Avernum, I wasn't aware they were indie. I didn't even know there was an indie scene when they were made.

But they are of near-proffessional quality, so I dunno. Do what you think's best.

That definitely makes sense. For the purpose of a quick play through, MM Os shouldn't be included on the list.

There are free to play MMOS like RO. These still are obviously be huge time sinks. To me, console/pc single player rpgs are huge time sinks too. (I started final fantasy 6 and it will take me 50 hours to beat approximately)

It really depends on the game, but if you invest the same amount of time in an MMO than you would to beat a console or PC game, I think you could at least be decently leveled and gotten some mileage out of it. That could equal 'beat'

Eh, I dunno.

I spent around ~60 hours on Lord of the Rings Online, and I felt like I'd pretty much accomplished nothing. And I had, really, there's at least a thousand hours of "content" in a standard MMO due to the forced grinding.

Meanwhile, I put 60 hours into Kot OR, and I'll have beaten the game once, and be halfway through a second playthrough.

there are also the occasional mmo you can beat. such as mabinogi. supposedly. it apparantly has a sequel in the works. and a prequel of a different genre that is also an mmo.

too bad about the lag that accompanies it, pretty much making the battle system impossible to manuever around if you arent in the states and dont have a perfect connection.

MMORP Gs won't be included in the list, as the majority of them there is no way to beat. Also, there are a lot of MMORP Gs that don't exist anymore.

I'm done with the list till 2012. The next step is to filter some games

What you think of the Crystal Chronicles Final Fantasy spin offs? Should I remove them?

I have only played the first FF in the numbered series, while playing both Crystal Chronicles and the sequel as well as FFTA and the sequel.

I can vouch for those games as fun and interesting RP Gs, the former especially if you have a friend to run through it with you.
