Needs Help: Cerebus Ret Con get usage counts

Not An Avatar
We're probably going to have to rename it eventually; that MacGuffin thread recently shows that a people get upset when it seems like we misuse preexisting terms, and the redefinition literally ignores the "ret" in "retcon". I think this was more a misunderstanding than anything, given that there was a proposed title that would make sense and preserve the Cerebus part.

I'm not saying we should ignore the crowner or redo it, but it leaves the trope with a problem.
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!

[up] This, exactly. There's good reason to expect the trope to return to TRS eventually for exactly this reason, so we might as well address it now.

And then it turned out that letting this thread die was part of the plan of a vast conspiracy!

The crowner asks for a redefinition. I see the description already works well.

The name issue is probably for another thread, though - not keen on Single Prop-ping a rename just after a previous crowner voted to keep the name.

I would be happy to bring it in for a rename when the thread limit permits. Is this otherwise ready for locking, then?

Yes.

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
