So, it's probably going to be easier if we compile a pros/cons list for both setups so we can decide, as well as what we're looking for.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.Adding to the roster, is it too much of a stretch to add June with a moveset based on her whip (she would still have some non-whip combat, but a lot of moves would involve it)?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMI can see it. Any particular ideas you had?
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.Err... fight with her whip?
Well, anyway, I think some distance grabs using the whip, and a spinning sweep kick followed by a horizontal whip would be good.
Some kind of slide kick would be cool too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMI'm guessing her supers would involve the Shirshu?
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughWhat about Aang? We gonna have Airbending Aang or All-Bending Aang? Both? If so, how we balance?
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.I think he should mostly stick with Air. All-Bending should be Korra's thing. Aang may use it for one or two of his supers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMDid we agree that this would be a team or solo game? I mean, I've seen some team fights in Avatar.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.Maybe teams of two.
As for another character, how about Bumi?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMSounds interesting. Should his pet be included in his moveset?
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity. As a super/hyper, yes.
Also, I think this game should have environmental hazards. Not like Smash Bros, but like Dead Or Alive and Injustice Gods Among Us, where it's mostly triggered by the players.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMSONIC THE HEDGEHOG BATTLE ZERO
This game is a traditional 2D fighter much like Vampire Savior. It is very fast-paced. The battles are one-on-one. The characters are mostly from the Classic Era of Sonic, but use the modern era designs. It is available for the following systems:
- Arcade
- Wii U
- 3DS
- Steam
THE GAMEPLAY:
The game is a traditional 2D fighting game. Each character has a life bar and two lives, represented by head icons. The fighters have six buttons. Pressing them will unleash basic attacks, the punches and kicks the character uses. Pressing them in combination with a direction activates command attacks, variations of the basic punches and kicks. In addition, the characters can attack in the air. Much like in the classic Sonic games, characters gradually gain speed as they hold forward, rather than a dash. Each character has a number of special moves and super moves activated by button combination. Once a character runs out of lives, the battle is over. Players earn bonuses when they attack first, suffer no damage, and attack with combos.
The characters consist of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, Metal Sonic, Amy, Egg Robo, Mecha Sonic, Silver Sonic, Metal Knuckles, Tails Doll, Espio, Charmy, Vector, Mighty, Ray, Fang, Bean, Bark, Heavy, Bomb, and Blaze. (Maybe Shadow and Rouge too).
The final boss is Bionic Sonic from the 8 Bit Sonic 2. In addition, the Mini-Boss characters are Grand Battle Kuku 15 and Witchcart. Carrotia, Fockewulf, Bearenger, Speedy, and Dr. Fukurokov are Bonus Boss opponents.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DHow about a fighter where it's perfectly normal...except the playable characters all have the power and stature to be bosses in any other game?
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Define "bosses." SRK Boss? Or more like Galactus Boss?
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity. So in other words, a game where everyone's broken in order to be balanced, like Brawl -?
Intriguing.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.^^ That's the thing, most of each character would have the workings one kind of boss or another.
One character is an SNK Boss, another is huge like Galactus from MVC, another has 3 stages of forms like Yami from TVC, and so on and forth.
^ Pretty much.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Broken is relative only to a game. And there are different levels of broken. Absurd damage output with great normals and specials is a different broken than no hurtbox broken.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.Lovecraft Mythos vs Fear Mythos. Someone has to do it sometime.
A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail.A new challenger for the Avatar fighter: Master Pakku!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMIf we're actually going to make this, then I could program it. My knowledge of Avatar The Last Airbender is pretty limited, though.
We should have a few options for inputs, like Injustice Gods Among Us is supposed to have. I think that Mortal Kombat 9-style inputsnote would be easier for non-fighting game players to grasp, and Street Fighter-style quarter-circles could be an advanced option.
Wait? You could make this? On what program?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8yAjWvAqyMMultimedia Fusion 2. I know it's not real programming, but it still works pretty well.
Would anybody mind if I put up an idea for a fighting game I've had for forever now? If I'm interrupting the Avatar talk, I can just see myself out.
What I would really, really love to see is a fighting game that's one big crossover of all the failed MK clones. Like, say, Kasumi Ninja, Way of the Warrior, Bloodstorm, Killer Instinct, Eternal Champions... the list goes on. That, and what I'd really want to do is make sure the game still has that mid-90's 'feel' to it while it plays like its own unified thing. Not sure how you'd handle the graphics, maybe everybody could be done in CGI. Given the power of today's rendering software, it might not even look that bad.
The real challenge would be doing the mechanics in a way that, say, Fulgore from Killer Instinct shares the same basic mechanics of Crimson Glory from Way of the Warrior.
"Great Scott! Send in the Doomsday Squad!"
How much of that is because of team mechanics vs the combat system?
As I put it to my friends, S starts and ends an air combo. Not that hard.
