I know there was a Ratigan thread, but I decided to make a more overarching one regarding the movie.

One of the most underrated Disney movies, and arguably the start of the Disney renaissance in some people's opinions, this is a nice exciting film. Alright, I admit I saw this partly for the famous fight scene, but I still think it's a nice blend of humor, heartwarming, and an intriguing protagonist. Vincent Price voicing Ratigan also was a draw for me into the film. I thought it was too moan-ish at first(can't think of another word), but I think it's refined to suit his affably evil character.

I grew up watching this movie. Loved every minute of it.

My parents made me fast-forward through that certain scene, though. You know the one. [lol]

Oh I loved this movie. One of my first animated obsessions, definitely a different vibe than most other Disney movies. Like, I'd show this to someone who said they don't usually like Disney. But yeah, just fun beginning to end, and a shame we never got a sequel.

The best Disney movie from the 80s IMO. Fun, nice voice acting, and impressive early cgi.

I haven't seen this movie in a long time, but it's definitely one of my top 20 in the canon, maybe even top 15, and the best one between Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast, IMO.

Definitely one of the most underrated Disney movies. I watched it for the first time back in December, and I enjoyed it. "The World's Greatest Criminal Mind" likes to play in my mind whenever I see anything pertaining to this.

Vincent Price has been dead for over 20 years, but his performance (and Barrie Ingham's) will live on...

I remember Vincent Price said Ratigan was his favorite role.

And I remember the animators saying that they more or less copied his movements during recording on rattigan.

I think Basil might just be one of my favorite Disney heroes of all time. I think it says something that his sidekick isn't the comedic foil, but the Straight Man.

I admit though that I like the interaction between Basil and Olivia even more than the one between Basil and Dawson.
