For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

I've added a few tropes and some text in the description to the page (it only had 3 tropes listed). If anyone else wants to contribute to it...

We're gonna be rewatching a lot of old favorites and milestone films starting this Tuesday, August 4th, as we kick off our three-year anniversary.
But tonight is gonna be all about "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, paying tribute to the legend who passed away just this Friday, and re-watching one of his most prominently featured films that we've seen here before. Now, as much as I get a kick out of No Contest and watching the wife of Gene Simmons beat Piper to death with a pillow case filled with ice cubes (Watch it! I promise it gets funnier every single time!), I figured it would be more appropriate to run something where Piper was given a starring role.
And that leads us to his turn as Sam Hell in the 80's post-apocalyptic B-movie Hell Comes to Frogtown.
So come on out and be ready to pay the Piper his due respects.
The movie sounds pretty fun.
The kids to babysit are coming today around 3, and will be staying for dinner. I may be late, as you can imagine.
I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!nvm

Alright, we got an episode of Legends of the Hidden Temple to start now. And after that, we begin tonight's tribute to "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, beginning with his legendary boxing match against Mr. T.
Then, at the top of the coming hour, we revisit Roddy Piper as Sam Hell in Hell Comes to Frogtown.

Last movie before we kick off our Three-Year Anniversary Extravaganza tomorrow night, and we're looking to pack a punch.
Tonight, we find out what exciting shit happens when a Hollywood stuntman directs his own movie.
Director John Stewart (not Jon Stewart) is credited with stunts and stunt coordination for all sorts of titles ranging from Hard Rock Zombies and early David DeCoteau features to Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and tonight is an action-packed directorial debut, which no doubt helped him get a directing gig on a sizable handful of early episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers just a few years later.
So get ready for all the non-stop excitement of the aptly titled Action U.S.A.

So, our director is Green Lantern?
This is a signature. Can't wait for the sequel: Action Canada
War is God.Yeah, I just found out today that there's finally a Phantasm V that has been in production for a while already. And all this time, I thought Angus Scrimm was dead. I can't believ— [clicks video link] What the SHIT!?!◊
La Acción de México
Alright, we got more of Retsupurae slogging through Sonic 06 (another year from now, we'll still be getting through this torturous pain; I'm sure of it) and the next episode of Superhuman Samurai SyberSquad.
Then, at the top of the coming hour, we overstimulate our senses with high quantities of high-octane action and American patriotism in Action U.S.A..

This movie looks amazing, and now I have it.
It was recommended to me by the same non-Troper who suggested Killer Bean Forever. It's only his second recommendation, but he looks like he's on a roll.

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!at 1:16 that trailer becomes awesome
It looks like Avatar, with cheaper CGI and without the science fiction aspect.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI think we absolutely have to watch that movie. It looks too stupidly funny not to. That trailer does indeed look too awesome. Someone in the chat even said "we have to watch this".

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones! The animation reminds me a lot of that silly thing Nike produced before the last World Cup, except the faces have better detail and expressions.
I'm really more looking forward to that crazy ensemble cast put together for God's Not Dead 2, though. The one thing that unbelievable promo video didn't quite give enough detail on is whether the movie is centered around a NEW religious debate set in a courtroom or if the previous film's narrative is simply picking up with "Jesus, Man" Man being put on trial for manslaughter after running over Kevin Sorbo with his car in the previous film.
In other news, tonight officially marks Three Years since we've began gatherings to watch shitty movies. So glad we've made it.
It's time to celebrate, and there's no better way to kick it all off with where it ALL began... Phil Tucker's legendary Robot Monster. So be set for a night with Ro-Man Extension XJ-2, as he tweaks the radio antennae on his bubble machine and communicates with his dear leader Great Guidance through a nightstand mirror while menacing the last men on planet Earth.

It does center around a new religious debate. That being if a teacher should have been fired for agreeing with a student that there are parallels between Jesus and Ghandi. She said "the J-word", apparently.

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Maybe, in a shocking twist, the "J word" will turn out to be "Jew" used as a slur, and she'll actually be the (non Designated Villain) villain of the piece?
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI'm just going to put it out here - I won't be here next week.
I'll be on vacation for all of next week and so won't be able to make it to see any of the movies that week.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I thought that the J-word was jurisprudence
War is God.So here we are. Three. Years. Later.
And still alive and riffing.
Tonight's pre-show is all about looking back to our past, so we lined up an episode of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and some classic Let's Play vids from Lowtax and Shmorky for us to reminisce about.
Then, at the top of the coming hour, we kick off a new year by head back to where it ALL began—Phil Tucker's Robot Monster. This is gonna be good.

This is big.
For the first time in two-and-a-half years, the amazingly awesome tag team of Bruce Campbell and Julius Carry are coming back to the playlist.
Tonight, we'll be kicking off the reunion with a revisit of the pilot episode of The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. Then, every night after that, the rest of the series run, as our characters continue to do battle with the devilishly cool Billy Drago, is taking over pre-show once again. Rejoice and be glad.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerEVIL DEAD EVIL DEAD EVIL DEAD EVIL DEAD ACTUAL REBOOT BY SAM RAIMI AND BRUCE CAMPBELL
War is God.Speaking of Sam Raimi, I have a recommendation (if a suitable copy can be found).
I don't consider Raimi's 1990 superhero film Darkman to be a bad movie in the slightest. I dare say it's my favorite of Raimi's works. But its bizarre take on the genre (think The Shadow meets Phantom of the Opera with a dash of Robocop), over the top acting (one of my favorite Liam Neeson performances still), and similarities to a certain other superhero film series make it worth a watch.
Remember: The movie is starting at 7:35PM (EDT)!!!!!!
We'll start a bit early now to squeeze in an episode of Knightmare, and after that we begin the original film adaptation of Modesty Blaise.
