"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimAnd it is on!
Question: do the items have to feature in the order they're listed, or can you have them in any order?
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdI'd like to join this contest please.
"Steel wins battles. Gold wins wars."Any order is fine.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimEntering.
Do we have a pass-through person yet? I don't remember seeing one.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaNo, I don't think that's been decided yet.
In the unlikely case that I convince a writer to offer their ebook as a prize, do you think that's acceptable?
No. Books are hard to pick as regular gifts, let alone gifts for people whose identity won't be revealed till well into the contest.
Very true. And speaking personally, the idea of introducing a "prize" into what's always been a fairly non-competitive contest makes me uncomfortable.
"never look a gift horse in the mouth"
Any gift of good faith is always nice gesture. I don't think anyone here writes for a prize, just to grow and have fun.
@chihuha I don't see anything wrong with that.

Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.If you guys think it's not a good idea, that's okay. It's just that I thought that some sort of prize would be a good incentive to encourage entries.
Speaking of prizes, didn't someone offered to buy the winner a TV Tropes T-shirt last contest?
I thibk it's a good idea, but I won't argue if you don't agree
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.@Nrj: The first several contests had TVT swag offered as prizes. It wasn't until later, when Parable took a break from hosting and other people picked up the slack, when prizes stopped being a thing.
@Chi: If you want to offer a prize, and have the money to spare, maybe a $10 Amazon giftcard or something? I know you can offer those just by knowing someone's Amazon e-mail address, no additional info required.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaHeads up, people! You got till the 21st to get your stories done!
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimI might not make it to the deadline so just... er, leave me off the list.
Come on, Leradny! You can do it!
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimNo one even added me to the list when I posted here two weeks ago. It's not meant to be.
Hey, is it too late to join this contest? I'd like to enter if it isn't.
I wouldn't think it's too late. The submission deadline isn't until the 21st.
Added.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimOkay, I'm officially backing out.
I haven't even done anything yet.
I just sorta signed up kinda mindlessly.
I want to drop out.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova Scotian
Both from Parable.
