Agreed. The idea that Strange Minds Think Alike is not comedic is a little bizarre to me. Hell, the trope's original name was a reference to a purely comedic example!
Isn't Gag Echo about people saying the same thing or having the same monologue? Strange Minds Think Alike can be anything. Like the real life example of pyramids.
