Watching the Sakura Spirit LP. My God, this game was made to be riffed on.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I agree, that's one of the reason I loved it.
Now just to get past the fact Arin put a fucking Charizard into his box. -.-
Improving as an author, one video at a time.It doesn't know flamethrower though! That makes it useless! Ignore the fact that even without flamethrower it's still one of the best Pokemon in the game!
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Plus fact getting Flamethrower back is easy as hell. >_<
There is a part of me that wonders if Arin can beat the Elite 4, but if Twitch could do it...
Is it sad that I think Twitch is a better trainer than Arin?

Improving as an author, one video at a time.I read you have to get Flamethrower from the Game Corner, so Arin probably just doesn't want to earn all those coins. If he was going to pull out a Pokemon still in its 20s for level, though, he should have tried out that Lapras!
You can also get it from the move relearner dude, but I think it takes tiny mushrooms.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Yeah, Arin was scared off at reading the method of that. Bulbapedia says you need the Volcano Badge to get to Boon Island...
If I remember right, they can buy coins. They had more than enough money.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Oh, I thought they already spent too much on other goods.
I believe the exchange rate is $5k for 500 coins. Flamethrower costs 4k coins, so they would need $40k to buy it.
Or they could just spend $500 on a safari game and catch every Paras/Parasect they see.
Right now, though, I really just wish they'd evolve that damn Pikachu. :P

What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Oh, Bulbapedia said it was $10,000 for 500 coins, so TM 35 would be $80,000.
That's hilarious how Arin won the Skeeball game when half his points came from a glitch. I didn't even notice it happen the first time; I thought they just mistook the bell and the switch back to Danny's points.
Yeah, I remembered wrong. It is $10k for 500, so it would cost $80k to outright buy the TM. Hitting the Safari Zone and catching a crapton of Paras/Parasects is the much faster and more cost effective way to relearn it.
That said, it's not like Charizard is the best pokemon they could have on their team for the coming bosses. Of all the remaining gym leaders, Elite Four, and rival fights, the only mons Charizard has type advantages on are Lorelei's Jynx, Bruno's Hitmons, and Rival's Exeggutor.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Haha, was that the same town map they could have gotten at the very beginning of the game? Now we know where another source of it is! (Though Fly pulls out a map anyway...)
On Super Return of the Jedi, I always find it laughable to see Super Game Boy features on a Game Boy port of a Super Nintendo Entertainment System game. Never mind the levels they skipped for being too hard, right off the bat you miss that valuable Mode 7 speeder sequence!
Not to mention that Luke appears to be totally lacking his Force powers in the Game Boy version, which is the main reason to play as him.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Yeah, I wondered if there was just some button combo nobody knew to activate those other moves...
Until I saw the "Two players" intro, I heard "Three players" as "Free players."
So according to the comments, Pokemon's Move Tutors punish you for playing like Arin by denying you moves for Pokemon with low Happiness.

The next game series look good, but did they really need to take a break from Yoshi's Story with only two levels left?
So they literally mentioned Jon by name in today's Fire Red episode.
Can we put all the conspiracy theories to rest now?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Wait, seriously? Dammit, I haven't been watching!
/*watches episode*
Holy jeez, that wasn't even a passing reference, they had a whole thing with it! Finally! If I didn't know the Game Grumps subreddit was still ridiculously hateful towards Suzie which makes me uncomfortable to even type the URL into my computer, I would check and see what the reaction is. Probs priceless.
"We're home, Chewie."THEY BROKE IT!!!
THEY BROKE THE SUSPICIONS!!! YAAAAY!!!!!
Boy, am I glad that they broke the ice. I even thought there had been a genuine falling out between Arin and Jon, but those were just rumours, then.
I just hate to see friendships break up, I'm glad that didn't happen with them.
... do they just have a bad memory?? Danny told that story of his bar mitzfah already!
Probably. Just tell me when they ACKNOWLEDGE YOSHI'S STORY
Tsundere always struck me as a variation of the kid who teases a girl because he likes her. Or a necessary part of Slap-Slap-Kiss.
Then again, the fact that it's now a common Anime trope and a staple, means that anyone who is unpleasant or hostile towards someone is assumed to secretly be a Tsundere. I know that sort of assumption already existed in Tales of Symphonia, and it is worrisome that it's still a thing.
Arin's explanation was a bit on the extreme side, and a bit meta, but it is the logical conclusion to make, all things considered.
