So, recently I was thinking about an animated musical film that I watched when I was a really young child. It was sort of like a monkey version of Tarzan(or apes; can't remember), where there was a monkey from the wild who ended up befriending a monkey who knew how to talk and was raised to communicate and act like humans. She shows him more about the human world and they fall in love, but conflict arises and they are separated for a while.
The problem is I have no idea what the title of the movie was, and I tried going on Google and typed in keywords like "monkey animated musical" but that didn't help that much. It's possible that this isn't an American film since I was in another country at the time and was watching the movie on TV (the movie was in English, though).
I know it's a strange description, but does this movie sound familiar to anyone?
