The City by Patrick Wolf. A sweet, sincere love song, with a smooth '80s sax. Seriously, gotta love that sax.
Tonight I Will Be Your Guide by Royal Wood. A masterfully-crafted pop song.
I Think I'll Call You Mine by Parlours. This is just a really cute song.
And what the hell, All This Time by the Heartless Bastards. It's not really a romantic song per se, but it's a cheerful love song, and they're my favourite band.
Over And Overby Three Days Grace, i know its a little dark for a romance song.
Everlong by the Foo Fighters. This holds a real place in my heart, this is the song I was listening to when I got my first kiss.
Metal tends to do this really crappy but Crimson Glory's "Heart of Steel" is fortunately an exception to the norm. Yeah, it's about unmanly things like "feelings" but they don't forget that it's supposed to hit as hard as any other song about failed rocket launches and fallen angels.
Hey, that Swans song is pretty nice. And the Patrick Wolf song too, cool voice that man has. So thank you, thread, for feeding a hungry hipster new tunes
As for a song I enjoy with lyrics of that ubiquitous emotional persuasion:
Because I choose to.
