"Amazed" by Lonestar. I always wanted to hate that song but never could.
Every Rose Has It's Thorn by Poison is one of those songs I had to play a few times to really get into. It's so cheesy, and sappy... but goddamnit, I love it.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down. All Out of Love by Air Supply, Sometimes When We Touch by Dan Hill and Brandy by Scott English are some of my favourites.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I like all three of those too.
"Ah, Sweet Mystery Of Life" from Naughty Marietta. Lyrics by Rida Johnson Young, music by Victor Herbert.
The road goes ever on. -TolkienCan You Feel The Love Tonight, by Elton John. I haven't seen The Lion King in years, was never really nuts about it. But I've heard Elton John's version (calm down, I am aware he wrote and composed it for The Lion King) and I love it to death.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down. That's one of my favorite songs of his...much prefer it to the movie version.
I used to hate this song, it irritated the living heck out of me when it was overplayed on radio but now, I am starting to like it.
It's....don't throw tomatoes at me now....
"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt.
Probably my all time favorite sappy love song is "Nights in White Satin" by the Moody Blues. And I am not ashamed. :)

Saving a file as dlsfkjgldfgjdf because I'm too lazy to think of a title.I'll join you in the target area. It took hearing a few of Blunt's other songs from that album to get me interested in him...I picked up the album and liked pretty much the whole thing. "You're Beautiful" is actually a really sad song, especially if you have the video in your head as you listen to it.
Tom Waits is amazing at writing these so that they feel authentic and from the heart. Two of my all time favorites are on his first album: "Martha" and "I Hope That I Don't Fall in Love with You."
I've been addicted to UB 40's cover of "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" for the past few days.
It's just so... chill.
(Also, "You're Beautiful" is amazing ^-^)

Surely I can't be the only fan of these on TV Tropes!
I grew up with a radio station playing oldand new hits, and there were a fair few sappy love songs. Due to this, i've developed a large enjoyment of them. Eternal Flame by The Bangles is great, and i've taken a liking to 1000 Words from FFX-2.
What would you count as being sappy?
