A few hours ago I noticed that all of the buttons (watchlist, workshops etc.) went square instead of cylindrical, and from that point whenever I searched for something on the site using the search bar and clicked the page link on the result page it opened up in a new tab.

It's only a small inconvience, but I was wondering why it happened and if I could swap it back.

I think it is a browser issue. Have you updated your browser recently?

There's been no change for me on Chrome.

Your internet browser probably updated, as the square button thing is a known issue on some browser versions. Not sure about the automatic new tab thing though. Which browser are you using?

Partially ninja'd. And I use Firefox, and no change there.

Huh, I'm not getting that. Several things with rounded corners went square for me when I upgraded Firefox to v 13; what browser and version are you using and have you switched recently?

I don't think I've changed it, and it happened with me still using the same browser. I'm using Internet Explorer 9.

This only happens on TV Tropes, no other search engine opens things up in a new tab.

We normally use the Google search engine, unless you stumbled on our own effort at a search engine (which is still tucked away somewhere).

Also, I have version 13 too, and no problems. How odd.

Okay, somehow this was stuck on compatablity mode and that was responsible. Thanks for the help guys, it's working for me again.
