Deadpool: The Video Game?:

Well, this is interesting, if vague. At the time of posting, we have about 4 hours and 43 minutes until anything is revealed beyond the developer, the publisher, and that Deadpool is apparently headlining a game.

Finally. My life's dream has come true. I can die happy.

these High Moon guys seem to have a good track record too. It's perfect.

Why would I write that?
This could go very well or very bad. Either way more 'pool is always a good thing.

Three hours now. Here's hoping it's good and won't end up soiling Deadpool's image in the eyes of comic fans, video game fans, and whoever else might be paying attention for whatever reason.

Also, I'm wondering if they're going with the recent status quo (depowered Deadpool) or sticking with the classic Deadpool.

It'll be classic 'Pool. I mean c'mon, his power is regenerating health.

A bigger question is whether this is "Insane but with a heart of gold" Joe Kelly Deadpool, or "Totally insane monster" Daniel Way Deadpool.

Well, since games with moral choices make tons of money, we could see both.

Why would I write that?
The idea of a Deadpool game with moral choices sounds extremely dumb to me, but the more I think about it the more it makes sense. Even in his more heroic arcs Wade always had trouble keeping on the right path. Plus that is just perfect for parody.

I can imagine it now: Everything goes black and white and Deadpool monologues to himself the consequences of buying a large coffee, or a small coffee. And then he crosses his arms and shifts his weight before a quick time event makes him sucker punch the cashier. But then it turns out they only serve one size of coffee, so the decision was pointless all along.

That question mark should totally be an official part of the game's name.

One hour remaining. Any further guesses as to the gameplay style? Anyone thinking it'll be an open-world GTA-esque game? How about an FPS? A WRPG perhaps? Some sort of deranged edutainment game?

I'm thinking open world in the style of infamous. It lets you cause as much chaos as you want.

The gameplay style will probably be a mix of Assasian's Creed and Infamous.

If this is anything short of Saint's Row the third starring Deadpool I will be disappointed Unless it looks more funner then that.

High Moon Studios appears to be handling it. They made the first good Transformers game, so Deadpool's in good hands.

I didn't play it either, but the reviews we're all good and it's getting a sequel, so it must have been pretty good.

That's not how video game quality works at all.

Not that War for Cybertron is bad (I haven't played it, so I can't say) but plenty of games with good reviews and sequels are complete shit.

Excellent point. I should have said that I've heard nothing but good things about that game from my friends, not to mention all over the internet.

Well, the timer is gone. I wonder if that means anything.

And jeez, I really have to get around to playing War For Cybertron. I bought it on Steam some time ago and it's installed on my computer, but...
