I'm a fan of a rather obscure operetta called ''The Desert Song". In fact, I wrote up the works page for it in this wiki.

It's got so many plot holes that I'm surprised someone hasn't written a fanfic for it. (I would, if I were any good at writing fanfic. Actually, the story I'm working on right now is rather heavily inspired by The Desert Song, but it's really, really different.)

So are there any works everyone feels should have fanfics?

I believe there's a couple of fanfiction.net, but the show Wakfu could use more love.

I'm working on it.

Scandinavia And The World

Technically it does have some...but I and one other fan account for about a third of them. You can't tell me that's right.

Tour of Duty. Preferably one made as a counter to that crappy third season that none of us that watched it could stand.

Genshiken. I would pay bajillions of internets to anyone who wrote about, say,Ohno's first cosplay.

Overman King Gainer desperately needs more fics about it.

As of last year, I wrote the only fanfic for There Will Be Blood on F Fnet. Yes, there should be more.

Narutaru

While it isn't as popular as Bokurano, I feel that there should some fanfics for it. Maybe someone might make a Wh 40 K crossover that 'fixes' the problems of the original series.....maybe.

I can second Narutaru needing more fics, also.

I think that Twinkle the Dream Being should have fanfiction if only because I want to know about the series.

And maybe what happens when Twinkle meets the Godhand from Berserk. I'm hoping for insane Godhand.

Totally not planning to buy Ark Encounter.

The Brave Series. All of it. Not just Gao Gai Gar, but the other shows as well. Moreso because they're so damn obscure and hard to find, it'd be great if what few fans exist wrote fanfic, so that those who learn about the shows and are interested (like myself) can have a quick and handy resource into them that's easier to find than the bloody shows themselves.

That said, I should be getting the anime for Might Gaine on Monday (hopefully), at which point I'll start solving some of the problem by doing fics for that show.

Battle Programmer Shirase.

It has cool action and impressive cyberwarfare (halfway plausible, even). It has awkward love polyhedrons. It even has occasional fanservice scenes (okay, this one is questionable). And a lovable goofy genius as a protagonist.

Moreover, the series ends at a very juicy point. I'm really surprised no-one wrote anything worth mentioning for that series.

Here, have a trope page.

[up]Looks interesting. Almost as much so as The Brave Express Might Gaine. And coming from me, that is high praise indeed.

Well, I'd like to see more fics for the early installments of the Persona series (Persona 1 and Persona 2). The vast majority of Persona fics involve the later installments (Persona 3 and Persona 4). There's very few fics for the earlier games that I could find (and even fewer that are actually good). I would really appreciate it if there were more fics for Persona 1 and 2!

Kyoukai Senjou No Horizon, which currently only has one. If I weren't knee deep in a Negima Disgaea thing, I'd probably put my hand in it.

You know you want to add more tropes to THIS.

I'm genuinely surprised that The Pirates In An Adventure With Scientists doesn't have very many fics, because it's one of those works that easily lends itself to fics; the rules of its universe allow you to get away with pretty much anything and still have it make sense.

Looking for some stories?

Infinite Space. It's a huge game, with over 100 characters and 30 hours of gameplay stretching out over 2 galaxies. There are enough planets, some with more features than others admittedly, to set fics on, and more than enough characters to write.

You know how many fics there are on Fanfiction.net? 5.

Disney Theme Parks.

There are plenty of stories featuring Disney characters in a Massive Multiplayer Crossover scenario that happen to take place at Disneyland or Walt Disney World, but very few are actually about the parks and the unique characters therein. I want to read about Harold and the Tiki Birds and Madam Leota and Robot Abraham Lincoln and the Country Bears (no, not the versions from that stupid movie, the real ones).

I'm always saddened there aren't more fics for The Rescuers.... I'd love to see them working with Basil of Baker Street.
