I think it really needs improvements when it comes to the fight scenes. When it works though, (like last nights episode about the bell) it can be quite touching and even funny.
METAL GEAR!?That's what I'm thinking to.
Last nights ep was pretty nice really.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEgI've been really enjoying this anime. Its my favorite on Toonami 2.0 and I've got ahead of Toonami. Its really simplistic yet has a neat mythos and characters. Plus Casshern has like the coolest anime hair ever.
The Clone Wars SavedThats what i like about it, its not flashy but it shows some pretty good ideas and mythos.
Well i am going to keep with Toonami because I like to discuss with people on the Adult Swim Forums.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEg3rd time seeing Episode 12 and just now getting the symbolism of Margo's paint and color. When I watched this one for the first time I kept waiting for Casshern to ask why its so plain, not that he would because he'd just too damn nice when not going berserk. Deep. =b

The Clone Wars SavedHonestly, I couldn't stand it. After two episodes, I found myself skipping scenes to where dialogue would freaking happen. To where stuff would freaking happen. This isn't so much an anime as it is a slideshow, and the story could be so much shorter.
Which is a pity, because there's definitely material for that. It's got mood and atmosphere and theme and characterization. It's original, beautiful, and mesmerizing. It could have been as good as Kaiba. Instead, after "finishing" it, and not understanding anything, I found myself trawling the net for summaries and explanations. A show shouldn't make you want to do that.
Anyone want to talk about the movie instead? I found it was a pretty relaxing experience. It helps that I never got to really care about the characters, so I found myself enjoying their suffering and misery as an aesthetic spectacle, rather than, you know, make it my own. Maybe I just have trouble with reading the way live asians signal emotion?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. No, it's just the way the movie is filmed. The characters seem intentionally hard to connect to.
Not Three Laws compliant.Well, the film might have been too hard to bear if they had been more sympathetic.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
Doesn't seem like anyone has made a thread yet for this show. So i guess i will open it up.
Looks like there is a love/hate relationship with most people on the internet, defiantly with Toonami's broadcast, i really like the show right now, its also how I found the old series, Neo Human Casshern, which i have been trying to find full episodes of this to.
So, let me open the topic, what you think of the show so far.
