This needs help for several reasons.

  1. This is a stub article. There is all of one example on the page. It's clear that this didn't go through YKTTW.
  2. As a result, it's horribly underused. There's all of seven wicks to it, and has two inbounds. The basic premise is that "the innocent person gets framed and convicted, while the guilty man walks". Do we already have this trope already? I can't see how we don't, in which case this is a stub duplicate.
  3. If we actually don't have this one, it needs a better name at the very least, and a better description. Underuse suggests that the trope is not thriving under the current name.

In short, I think we need to send this one either to YKTTW or off to the Cut List.

So the trope here is: a character is falsely imprisoned for a few weeks of episodes before getting freed?

Nice idea, but needs a name, a description and examples. Off to YKTTW with it.

Basically, or at least that's what I'm getting out of it. Something like "Wrongly Imprisoned Plot" or some such would be a lot more descriptive here, but it's clear that this one needs a lot of help before it gets its page back

Yeah, Soap Opera Justice makes me think of a complaining page. Send it [back] to YKTTW.

And incidentally, I guessed that it had something to do with Vigilante Justice as delivered following a ludicrously convoluted crime of the sort that only seems to happen in soap opera land. Perhaps appropriately, the example that sprang to mind was also from Coronation Street: Tracy murdering Charlie in "retaliation" for having spent several years abusing both her and Shelley.

But anyway, yeah, let's try again with this one.

Clocking due to lack of activity.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.

I think we're all agreed that this should be sent back to YKTTW; at least, I find it hard to believe that anyone would disagree. Needs a better name, needs a better description, needs examples.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.

Since no one came forth, this is cut. Anyone who wants to go to YKTTW is free to. Locking.
