How would it be fun though? There wouldn't be much of a challenge until the final battle.
Yeah, there's that issue. It would be a fun "simulator", but it would be really boring as a game. YES! Not just 4X, throw in an RTS. I can play them fine but the micromanagement tends to sap rather than add to my enjoyment.
Superman suffers from the curse of being too powerful and story-breaking. That's why games starring him have failed. I would like to see a Video Game Remake of the first Diablo. Yeah, it should be given the graphics seen in the third Diablo, for starters. It should have the Warrior, the Rogue, the Sorcerer, the Barbarian, and the Bard. You could have speculation pop up that the Barbarian in the remake is the same guy from the second game and maybe the third game. You could have secret bonuses happen if you type in "Aidan" for the Warrior or "Blood Raven" for the Rogue as the player name. You could show the Warrior, Rogue, and Sorcerer slowly losing their sanity as they go through the levels. The Barbarian has proven to be immune to Sanity Slippage. I don't know about the Bard, but I see him as Comic Relief and a Lethal Joke Character. If anyone asks what happened to the Bard, I would say that he was killed in the Tristram Massacre seen in the second game. The Lazarus confrontation needs to be redone. It should have some spiders in there, as a reference to his experimentation with them. Lazarus should have the look he was given in third game. In fact, there should be special dialogue between him and the Warrior (the same goes for the Skeleton King), which would show that the Warrior is the main character of this game. There should also be mentions of Zakarum, nephalem, the Worldstone, and some other things put in there. I believe that a remake of the first Diablo could work. How about you?

Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!
Possibly. Thing is, Blizzard has some REALLY high standards when it comes to touching up their old stuff (if they do it at all), so that means they'd not only have to overhaul the plot, but also the gameplay, graphics, spells, items, - everything. Not an easy endeavor, by any means.
Would you believe I never fully watched the original Indiana Jones trilogy? I gotta correct that someday.
All Pop, No Culture
I'd like to see the entire Ultima series redone Mass Effect-style. You create your character in Ultima I and his/her stats and decisions carry over into every subsequent game (including the Underworld games, which would be converted to overhead turn-based games), with multiple endings and story paths throughout the whole thing. All the games would use the same engine. But since EA and Richard Garriott apparently hate each other, probably won't happen.
It's not time to enter the meatlocker.
Did you know this section has a character limit?
How about a Green Latern game where you can actually make anything, like in Scribblenauts?
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!
That sounds awesome! I'd like to see a good Code Lyoko RPG. Even if it is fan made. Preferably without turn based combat.
Killer Instinct 3.
Did the story already end? A third Knightsof The Old Republic for consoles would be really cool.
I am serious. This is my serious face.
A Total War style game based on the Fallout series, with factions such as the New California Republic, Brotherhood of Steel, Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel, the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel, the Enclave, Caesar's Legion, and the city state of New Vegas (maybe. If we're doing Alternate History). Each faction would have its own unique units, economy, and victory conditions.

"LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE A BOOOOOOOOORN LOOOOOOOOOOOSEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRR"
Where's my lantern?
Prototype 3, with emphasis on infected control. Unfortanately, no further Prototype games will ever be developed, now that Radical Entertainment has died... -sniff-
The armored raven
I want to see a canon fix title called Pariahtype, instead of slapping on number 2 just to make things different. Alex Mercer's search for PARIAH lands him in a different land, and things get very wrong when the whole of Fort Detrick is isolating the town.
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...
Ben Yahtzee Croshaw vs Northern Asia A Half Life visual novel Spider-man: Spiral of Despair
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.
Where's my lantern?
I just realized we'll never really know what happened to Pariah, or what his capabilities were, or who he was. A prequel game focusing on Operation Carnival would've been awesome, though.
I want a console RPG where you can be any member of the party and for it to somehow allow local multiplayer. I don't know how it would work but it would be a lot of fun.
There was one point when I said how nice it would be to see a black-haired Zelda in The Legend of Zelda. I mean, we have blonde-haired, brown-haired, and red-haired versions of the character, so what's wrong with a black-haired version? Someone did say that the only way that would work is if a TLOZ game took place in a feudal Japan-like setting. The more I think about it, the more I think "Why not?" It would be interesting to see just one TLOZ game take place in that sort of setting!
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!
I wanna see MediEvil 3.
Vagrant Story 2.These two ideas are great. I'd love to see these series' revived. Frankly, I'd just like to see any games nowadays that show me something a bit different. I played the PS 1's Silent Bomber and Dead Ball Zone just recently and it's amazing to think that we don't see anything even remotely resembling those two today. And they weren't even original! Silent Bomber was basically an arcade game with lots of depth, while Dead Ball Zone was just a more violent Speedball. Speaking of Speedball, I'd love to see some old Amiga games remade. I know the Amiga wasn't very big in the US but it had some hidden gems. The Chaos Engine and Turrican are the two I'd like to see remakes of. Also, a Mortal Kombat real-time strategy game in the same vein as the Lord Of The Rings: Battle For Middle Earth series and a Spider-Man free-roaming game where you play as the villains.
This morning I came up with the concept of a nontraditional Adult rated fighting game where each character has a different personal goal even within the matches, the "Hit Points" are really just your character's will to keep on fighting, and the fan service comes from the costumes and graceful movements of the fighters, rather than unrealistic body types ... ... Oh, and by personal goal, I meant that different things impact their will. A sadist will get a small healing bonus from hitting, a masochist will have a stronger will-loss from being hit (Since it turns them on and makes them just wanna skip to the cutscene. tongue) Someone with low self esteem might gain more will from missing an enemy, since it makes them angry instead of turned on, while missing the enemy and hitting a wall instead might take off more willpower than being hit would. There'd be files that told you about the different characters, and it'd be all about figuring out what makes your character tick, and how to keep him/her in the fight longer than the opponent.I'd certainly like to see more games built around adult content, although a fighting game never crossed my mind. I was thinking of more dating sims. I know there are "adult" dating sims already but there needs to be more fetishism in all of them. :) Like a dating sim where all the girls have different fetishes. Or one where all the girls are dominant but they want you to test their different fetishes on.
A Kirby RPG.
They never made one? Didn't Epic Yarn or Nightmare in Dream Land have RPG stuff? Or am I thinking of something else? Do you want a platformer with RPG elements or something like Super Mario RPG?
Sonic 3 And Knuckles HD. The game features:
- Saving and level select, like on the Megadrive original. This level select allows you to play through any stage or boss with any character. * Hard Mode. * Blaze the Cat as an unlockable character, just like Tails in Sonic CD. She's unlocked upon beating Doomsday Zone But she does have a story, set in a dream. * Modern Looks as unlockable skins * Coliseum Mode, a battle mode with fights similar to the Sonic VS Knuckles battle. * Debug Mode as unlockable. Debug allows you to do whatever you could do in the original game's debug mode (misplace objects, play as glitch characters, etc), plus let you place objects from different zones and even prior Sonic games as well. * Level editor. * a fixed VS mode, with each character having their one-player moves, plus the coliseum mode mentioned above. * Unlockable Homing Attack for Sonic. * Redrawn graphics and remixed music as an optional feature * Knuckles in Sonic CD lock-on feature. * Art Gallery * Limited-edition physical copy * Boss Rush mode.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2D
I would like to see that as well.
Nintendo vs. Capcom. I don't care if it's in Super Smash Bros. style or in traditional Capcom fighter style, they need to do this if Capcom knows what's good for them.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.
That does sound great.
