All Purpose Ranma Fanfiction Thread

Actually, I'm rea~sonably sure that "mousse" is pronounced more-or-less the same way as "moose".

I always pronounced it more like Muhz.

i need help coming up with a basic description of Martial Arts Karaoke i have all the pieces such as it's attacks would look a lot like the Siren's from Rosario Vampire but i just can't put the pieces together

... Martial Arts Karaoke? Now that's one that I've never seen before. Truly, Ranma ½ is a prime breeding ground for all sorts of Martial Arts and Crafts beyond our regular imaginations.

I'd say, have the martial arts be split into two branches: the Exclusive school, and the Forbidden school. In short, the Exclusive is for those, who can sing, and the Forbidden is for those, who cannot. But still do.

But I have a feeling the question is about something else. Could you, please, tell us more? What, exactly do you need the help with?

Decided to reboot my Ryouga Hibiki quest over on QQ. The new one is called "Ryouga Hibiki vs the Multiverse." As the name implies, it's going to be a crossover quest.

i recently really got into Toaru Majutsu no Index but every Ranma crossover i find are usually like 1 or 2 chapters at most 6. however everyone has including the ones on this site have pages and pages of discussions on how such a universe would work, where Ranma's respective abilities lie, anger on weather or not Ranma will replace Touma, ect. i really would like to see such a crossover go somewhere so after shifting through all the reviews and forums i came up with this based off of everything i read

After having read the whole thread and that last post in particular, I think that I haven't read enough To Aru crossovers. Or any To Aru at all.

I've been writing a Ranma 1/2xTeen Titans crossover fic, called Reformations.

The basic premise is that Blackfire met Ranma and the two of them became lovers before arriving in Nerima. The thing is, most fics that start with "Ranma shows up with a girlfriend at the start of the series" Tend to be REALLY bashy in my experience, so I'm trying to avoid that like the plague, as well as give way to a few...interesting ideas that occurred to me regarding this pairing. Yes, I'm sticking with Canon Ranma (for now...) and there hasn't been much DC interaction beyond Blackfire, but I just wanted to throw this out there to see how people like it.

... OK, one question: Is a Heel–Face Turn involved? Because last time I checked, Blackfire is a villain. Then again, I only know her from the Teen Titans TV show, in which IIRC she never reforms. Which version of the Teen Titans characters are you using?

Yes, to the degree that she isn't EVIL with all caps anymore. That doesn't mean she's NICE necessarily, but she's not as irredeemable as she is in TT Canon.

As for what version, I'm using the Teen Titans TV Show version, plus the comics that were based on the show and gave her a few more appearances, though all of those were the same 'heinous b*tch' plotlines from the show. This is basically taking place after the last time she appeared in those comics, when she told Madame Rouge, a shapeshifter, about her and Starfire's missing little brother so Rouge could pretend to be him and infiltrate Titans Tower. The end result of that was Starfire saying, "That was the line" and completely disowning Blackfire.

Needless to say, that's going to be a rather important plot point for the fic, though the reasons why will come up later, and the reason FOR her face-heel turn will be revealed in due time.

Oh, there's another fic I'm working on, though it's going to be a little while before it's touched up enough to see the light of day. Basically, there's an idea I've been seeing in some Ranma fics for why he's the "Dense Harem Anime Protaganist", where Ranma was put under some kind of pressure point that effectively neutered him, and so far all of those fics have his dad being the culprit in an attempt to manipulate his son.

Trouble is, those fics also are kinda shoddily done and that's used as a throw-away for "See, Ranma ISN'T being OOC by being attracted to/fucking a girl who isn't a part of the wrecking crew!" because ALL of those fics involve Ranma saying "Fuck this shit, I'm out" to Nerima and having a hell of a lot of bashing brought down on the Ranma 1/2 cast.

Here's the trick; I don't like bashfics or Mary-Sue fics, and fics where something like this is used lackadaiscially. Ranma had his sex drive cut-off and NO ONE in the Wrecking Crew will ever know about it? Or those that do will have VERY brief thoughts of "I'm gonna hurt Genma!" and then move on from there? My fic is an interpretation on what the NWC's reaction would be if this was discovered on an otherwise normal day in Nerima? And what if Genma WASN'T the one responsible for it?

I think I've set up the fic pretty well, save for the ending when the pressure point is taken off because I don't want to make this a lemon fic, despite all evidence to the contrary. The big bit I'm doing is that instead of going into "Wild hump machine" mode the moment it get's taken off, it simply means that Ranma's sex drive, (I.E. Stamina/Endurance/Etc) are going to be higher than a normal teenagers, or even a normal guys. That doesn't mean he's going get every capable female in Nerima pregnant within the first 8 hours of having his dick come back online.

To put my thoughts into perspective let me explain the process behind it. Bear with me because this will be long I came up with the idea while reading Dark Titans I really enjoyed it but Big Trouble In Little Tokyo fell a little flat for me as a lot of the characters were changed in pretty obvious ways to get the outcome the author wanted. Since this usually involved them doing something stupid for no explainable reason it took me out of the story. So the idea of continuing that storyline popped into my head so I wrote down an outline for it.

I used the concept of Zero In which is where the title came from Minkei or Private Police as that is essentially what the Super Normal Defense Force only it was formed to deal with meta humans and not firearms. Since Big Trouble In Little Tokyo happened in the Shinjuku ward causing me to immediately think of Get Backers as I’m a fan of that series (and there are a lot of similarities between Ban and Ranma, heck the anime’s were done by the same character designer, and illustrator). It’s more of a fusion then a crossover I used Get Backers arcs then rewrote them so that they fit this DCAU/Ranma universe as police cases for the SNDF. Then I brought in characters that fit that asteadtic as well.

In all honesty I kind of forgot about my original intent after that as I said it’s more of a fusion then a crossover so while I used characters from Get Backers and various other series it’s more based off those characters then actually them. Since I had to change a lot to get them to fit the DCAU and Ranma aesthetic. Such as changing sci-fi/fantasy aspects so that they more resemble martial arts techniques, changing how martial arts styles/techniques work, changing histories and even creating them. It became really fun and I even got into creating martial arts styles and techniques because of it.

Eventually I got the basic outline done and that was it until I read Reflections Lost on a Dark Road while I hated that story it surprisingly renewed my interest in both Dark Titans and The Road To Cydonia as like with Big Trouble In Little Tokyo they’re was just to many changes done to the characters (as well as the original fics themselves) that it was impossible to see them as canonical. This caused me to look into the universes created by these stories and realize how complicate and intricate they are. My new idea is to expand on and continue Dark Titans.

Lets start out with Devil Factory I took the concept from the manga Tough which is similar to what Ryouma and Ayame Magami do. Also I made them descendants of a character based off of Julian from Samurai Deeper Kyo as they wouldn’t have excess to zero gravity. They are crucial to the continuation of the story. When I started delving deeper into the story I realized that Titans East wouldn’t happen the same way as his defeat in Titans and the Lost Boy shows. It wasn’t until I started reading the Teen Titans Go comics. It crosses over with Dial H For Hero. In the comic Robby Reed finds a mystical amulet that gave him superpowers. He fights crime in Jump City, but after he found out the amulet actually "borrowed" powers and abilities from other heroes, he stopped using it. The amulet not only steals abilities but martial arts skills as well.

Instead of becoming a cyborg Brother Blood try to gain the NWC’s martial arts skill. Instead of using a mystical amulet the dial would be more tech based like the omnitrix from ben 10 which I think is based off of the H-Dial. Instead of Professor Chang the Magami Brothers are perfect as they would have the know how to create something like this, it would allow them to continue their experiments and get revenge on Ranma. I came up with a few successful experiments dcau versions of Engineer, Alex and Alexandra Allston, and Nikki Nemzer. Enginneer and Kunoichi I have pretty much down I just need to figure out how Blood would get Parasites DNA.

As for the Magami brothers I hit a little dilemma. For Ayame my end goal is to have him tap into the Metal and become the male version of Machine Queen. However to get from A to B I based him off of Warblade. Using a technique similar to Take Over from fairy tail he would manipulate his soul so that his body takes on the properties of weapons. The idea being that eventually he would damage his soul causing so much that it causes irreplicable damage. I actually came up with two versions of the technique one where you manipulate your own soul and another where you fuse your soul with the spirit of a weapon which would be a safe version. So do I forget that version or instead of using Ayame for a one time appearance of warblade I have him create Warblade as a test subject. I have no name for Ryouma I’m just using him to introduce the Green.

Finally Julian had like nine children and at least 12 grandchildren so there would be other descendants besides those two as well as people inherited Magami weapons. That’s why had the idea of Kiki Shikizaki being Katanagatari on of his grand children each of his swords represents one of his siblings. There are a lot of opportunities for different heroes and villains. Katana or Tsukuri’s sword shares many properties with a Muramasa blade. Hiro Okamura if not a descendant the Okamura could be weapon inheritors. You could also Ranmafy exiting martial artist by turning them into meta martial artist. I did it with Bushido by reimaging him using elements of Mifune from Soul Eater as well as elements from the Light Novel series Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan.

I think it would be best to scrap the Get Back the Genius Dog arc. I chose it because I liked Takuma Fudo. Unfortunately realized that while he is great as an established character he’s not so great as a character you’re trying to establish since its hard to see hwat part of the story he could actually return it. It seemed obvious to have the Magami make his arm but he’s not the type of person who would go along with Brother Bloods plan. Fortunately there are many yakuza in the DC Universe I even transformed Takuma to be more like Sakki. So instead of using Get Back the Genius Dog arc why not use Akane Awakusu from Durarara. Izaya Orihara could be Kwiz Kid. It really not that farfetched given his personality it could have nothing to do with a personal vendetta. Defeating Brushogun gave the Super Normal Defense Force a lot of attention so he decides to mess with them.

The Divine Design arc could introduce Terra’s brother Geo-Force as obviously he would be Genbu

I’m actually kicking myself for not realizing this sooner but since the dcau shows that Animal Man exist the Shikizoku and the Maryuudo could represent the DCAU version of the Animal Masters their abilities are from drawing upon the red. Kabuto and the Kiryuudo would represent Antagon I’ll even change his name. Their ability would basically be the same as Beast Boy’s only they have no shape memory which is why the change is permanent. This means that the Kiryuudo would have an interest in him as they could see him as a way to save themselves. To Antagon he, Vixen’s Tantu Totem and Animal Man would just be a means to gain more power. So the Titans and the Justice League will be attacked which will lead them to Shido after they are referred to as Maryuudo allies. This is what I meant by Ryoma introducing the Red the Shokei Ken could be a Shikizoku technique him stealing it is how Ranma meets Shido. There are a lot of villains that could be Kiryudo. Zazzala could replace Dokubachi, while Red Jack could replace Saicho Mumyouin as he’s butterfly themed. Taking it even further he is a Doom Patrol villain so Beast Boy could recognize him.
