The thing is, having a word doubled as the last and first last word on a line does make it more invisible, especially an auxilary word like the
, which is overall somewhat invisible. It's like a text where you have to count all "f", with multiple of
. You just don't see it as well.
At any rate, that only suggests that some people would need a caption to point it out, so they're not Late to the Punchline
Missing out something like that doesn't really take much of any effort to fix. If late, you'd at most need to redesign the image. If it's gone so far you need to recall a lot of copies of it to fix it, you've already gone past the point of reason and well into this trope.
